We had an excellent stay at ETNEA 454 Catania Luxury Rooms and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting this fascinating Sicilian city.
The welcome was warm and friendly from the outset. The owner/manager was particularly helpful, offering some good local advice and coordinating breakfast, including providing coffee. We had reserved four rooms for our group, and the flexibility shown in allowing us to check into two of them around midday was greatly appreciated. It meant we could leave our luggage safely and head out for a leisurely stroll and lunch rather than wait around until the official check-in time.
All the rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable, although each was slightly different. Our room had a generous-sized bathroom with a large walk-in shower, which was a real bonus..
The location is very convenient for exploring Catania on foot. Piazza del Duomo and the magnificent Cathedral of Saint Agatha are around a 20-minute walk away, while the excellent choice of bars and restaurants along Via Santa Filomena is approximately 10 minutes away.
The continental-style breakfast was an added bonus, with a good selection to get the day started. There is also a lift serving the upper floors, which was particularly useful for transporting suitcases.
Overall, ETNEA 454 offers clean, comfortable accommodation, a welcoming service and a convenient location for discovering Catania. The helpful management and flexibility around check-in made a particularly positive impression on our group. We would certainly consider staying here again on a return visit to Sicily.
We were also fortunate to have a room at the side of the building, which was peaceful and quiet. Friends staying in front-facing rooms overlooking Via Etnea did experience some minor street noise, so this is worth bearing in mind if you are a light sleeper.

We had a great stay at Etnea 454 Luxury Rooms. The location is excellent, right on Via Etnea, making it a perfect base for exploring Catania and enjoying the city’s atmosphere.
The room was beautiful, modern, and comfortable, with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. We particularly appreciated the cleanliness and the attention to detail.
Overall, a great choice for anyone looking for comfortable accommodation in a central location. We enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Catania!

The room was nicely decorated and clean. The location was excellent.
The rooms were very small - nothing like the photos on the vacation sites. It was facing a very small dark courtyard. It mde a room very claustropobic! the manager told me that all the standard rooms were small, but the website showed larger rooms. Those were much more expensive! Beware!
The breakfast was average with frozen crossiants that were baked. Very little food was laid out for many guests.
The mini bar refreigerator is just that, very small. We had to leave for flight at 630 am and they did not provide a to go breakfast as they had promised. Breakfast starts at 7:30.
