About this house rental
Casa Guglielmina is a characteristic apartment that covers the entire ground floor of a villa built on the sloping cliff in front of the sea. It sleeps four people. From Casa Guglielmina you will enjoy a charming view of the sea and of the coast, from Positano to the island of Capri. Casa Guglielmina is 60 square meters (645 square feet). It features a private terrace with a view of the sea, a private garden, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed) and winter heating.
You will be in the center of Praiano, where you will find restaurants, shops and the stop for the SITA bus and for the local bus. You will find the closest beach (Spiaggia della Gavitella) at roughly 800 meters (half a mile) including 400 stairway steps.
You will reach Casa Guglielmina from the street level along a 50-meters (165-feet) walkway that includes approximately 38 stairway steps.
You will not need a car to stay at Casa Guglielmina. If you do have one, you will be able to park it along the public roads (the actual distance might vary depending on the availability of parking spaces) or in a public parking lot (being the lot a public one, parking spaces can not be reserved). Terrace
The terrace is 15 square meters (160 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a retractable awning. It is equipped with a table and chairs. From the terrace you will enjoy a wonderful view of the sea and of the coast, from Positano to the island of Capri.
Please kindly note. The rental price includes: electricity; linens; towels. To be paid at the property:final cleaning EUR 90.00. Tourist tax, paid locally: From March 1 to November 3: EUR 2.50 per person per night for the first 7 nights. Guests aged under 10 are exempt. Refundable security deposit paid cash upon arrival: EUR 150 (it is returned to you at check-out).
Garden
The garden is 70 square meters (750 square feet). You will be able to reach it from the terrace. It is equipped with a sun umbrella, two deck chairs and two sun loungers. From the garden you will enjoy a view of the sea.
Living Room
The living room is paved with tiles with inlaid designs. The furnishings are simple and comfortable, and include two sofas. In the living room you will also find a cooking area. The kitchenette is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, a microwave oven and an Italian-style coffee-maker. The dining table can accommodate six guests. In this room you will find a television (local channels). From the living room you will be able to enter the terrace with a view of the sea through a French door. The room is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bedroom 1 with en-suite bathroom
You will be able to enter the first bedroom from the living room. The bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed), that can be split into twins if requested (please contact our staff in advance to make arrangements). From the bedroom you will be able to enter the terrace through a French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a fully enclosed shower.
Bedroom 2
You will be able to enter the second bedroom from the living room. The bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The room has a window with a view of the sea, and it's equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bathroom
The bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a fully enclosed shower and a hairdryer. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the living room.
Laundry room
You will be able to reach the laundry room from the terrace. Here you will find a washing machine, an iron and an ironing board at your disposal.

Communication with the host started before our trip and was excellent throughout our stay. Had a small issue one night - dead battery caused a CO2 detector to beep - and the host responded immediately and showed up in a few minutes to resolve the issue. The space was wonderful. Outside terrace is lovely with a beautiful view of Positano - and there were lemons, tomatoes and basil in the garden. Location was up a hill but so close to great restaurants, cafes, shops and the bus stop. Close to the start of the Path of the Gods for hikers. Includes everything you need - dishes, glasses, laundry. Hosts were kind and helpful.

We loved staying here! It was very spacious for two couples. The outdoor space is BEAUTIFUL and seriously the best part. The unit had two full baths and a washer machine which was convenient. The host was great with communication and very kind. It’s a good location, close to restaurants and gelato. Not too many steps into the property which is great for luggage. It was a 30 minute walk to the port and beach with 400 stairs so be prepared to walk if you plan to go there but that’s the Amalfi coast, there’s no way to avoid it. Highly recommend! We loved staying in Praiano.

This is our second time visiting Praiano. The first time we stayed in one of the really nice hotels. Hands down would recommend Casa Guglielmina over anything else! Nothing compares to having espresso in the mornings on the peaceful terrace! If you’re lucky, one of the local cats will pay you a visit.
The inside makes you feel like you’re staying at Nonna‘s. Wish I had that kitchen in my house!! They were also so kind to leave fresh lemons from their tree and tomatoes.
It is in a great location, right near the middle of town and very close to restaurants and a few shops/markets.
