Welcome to Villa Tijara in Croatia! Our detached holiday home in Dalmatia with a private pool is nestled in the idyllic and largely untouched countryside of Tijarica. Located in the green heart of the Dalmatinska Zagora (the Split hinterland), this spacious villa in Croatia accommodates up to 10 guests.
It is the perfect retreat for a relaxing family vacation or a getaway with friends.
The generous villa features 5 bedrooms distributed across the first and second floors. Each of the large rooms is beautifully decorated, fully air-conditioned, and equipped with its own private bathroom – ensuring maximum privacy for all guests.
The light-filled ground floor forms the heart of the house: Here, you will find a cozy living area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a large dining area perfect for shared evening meals. A separate guest restroom and a practical laundry room are also available. For your entertainment on active days, our private game room is equipped with table tennis, darts, and foosball.
From the living area, you step directly onto the sunny terrace. Relax on comfortable loungers, enjoy the shade under the pergola, or refresh yourself in the large swimming pool. Sports enthusiasts can also stay active on the villa's own volleyball and badminton court right behind the house.

An absolutely wonderful place to stay! House is spacious, cool, clean and comfortable. The 2 games rooms were an unexpected bonus (table tennis / darts / table football / rowing machine). All bedrooms have air con and are en suite (one with a bath). Lovely outdoor space with superb pool, BBQ and volleyball / badminton area. Location is rural and quiet - we loved meeting the cats from the nearby hamlet and listening to the owls at night. There are a couple of reasonable supermarkets at Cista Provo, about 20 mins away, although vegans / vegetarians may struggle a bit. Host was extremely helpful, meeting us at check in and providing lots of info on places to visit. We did a couple of longer day trips (Split, Mostar) and would have done the Krka National Park but it was fully booked. We found Google underestimated travel times and took us some odd routes, including on an unmade road to Mostar (we came back via the (excellent) motorway!). More locally we visited the Watermills at Grab (were warmly welcomed by the owners who showed us round), the swimming beach on the lake just over the border in Bosnia (very un touristy, free parking, 1 beach bar, looked like you could rent pedalos and paddle boards), the Eye of Croatia, and the Green / Red / Blue Lakes (note Blue Lake is 5 Euros 50 per person just to get to the viewpoint and a steep walk down if you want to swim!). All in all a fantastic week and we were sorry to leave!

So much room! The pool was beautiful, and despite the cold winds we managed to get lots of swimming done. Big bedrooms, loads of bathrooms with great showers and a few surprise rooms and areas. Check-in was easy and the host was nice and informative. Gutted to leave but I'm sure we'll be back

Great spot away from the rush of Split - lots to explore in the immediate area with easy access to Bosnia and Mostar.
Two families comprising of 8 people didn’t feel cramped and had everything you could want for a home stay - including a bbq, pool and lots of games for the kids.
Were were ambitious and did Plitvice Lakes in a day, nearly 3 hours there and back but doable from the villa.
This was our second trip to Croatia and we’ll definitely be back in the future. Highly recommend this property for adventure and a quiet rural setting.

This is a great property! The host family are lovely and have thought of everything you could possibly need for a great stay. The beds are super comfortable which makes such a difference. It’s quite remote but that makes it lovely and quiet.
Zdravko went ‘above & beyond’ to help. Thank you for a great time, we really hope to return some day!
