A most relaxing break.

An attractive restaurant providing good food and an excellent breakfast. A lovely courtyard provides just the right ambience for a pre-prandial drink. The pub is in and ideal situation in a very attractive and historic village and is a good base for touring the area, with Hardy country nearby, and within 3/4 hour to the coast.

The stairs to our room were very steep and the hand rail was wobbly

Superb

The breakfast was excellent. Our room was very comfortable with a proper wardrobe and a comfortable bed. We felt we had enough room. There was also a lovely view of the high street. It is an old building, so no air conditioning, however there was a fan, which helped. Off street parking was convenient and very well kept. There was an event on when we were there, so we went to another pub for lunch (The Giant) which was also good.

The stairs down are old and a little uneven, so a little tricky if you have to take care on stairs.

Tastefully renovated barn room. Very good breakfast. Historical setting. Helpful and friendly staff.

I would rather have loose tea for breakfast. … minor point.

Relaxing weekend

Food and service were excellent. Room really comfortable although bed a little high off the floor for someone as short as me.

Fantastic weekend

We stayed for two nights. The whole New Inn experience was fantastic, the staff are so friendly and very professional. The food in the evening restaurant is fantastic also great value. The room was truly amazing. We will definitely stay there again.

Comfortable hotel in the heart of Cerne Abbas

The room, with ensuite etc was in a converted stone outbuilding/former stables, probably. Very comfortable. Everything you needed was there and everything functioned as you would hope. All good really. The pub is in the centre of Cerne Abbas, so perfectly located for walks around the village and beyond.

Excellent 2 night stay

Comfortable , welcoming and friendly professional staff . Excellent breakfast

Our particular room , although fine itself was above the entrance arch and was noisy at times with people congregating below .

When I asked for a fire, the owner had one blazing within minutes!

If you’re looking for a quintessential English pub, this is it. Cozy,comfortable and delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. The pub owners are rightly proud of their beautiful inn, reflected in the care and excellent service they provide their customers.
