Regular rooms need some improvements.

Good location. Friendly staffs.

Regular rooms are “ancient” although they are large enough. The photos did show the subtle differences of regular rooms and the superior rooms (re-modeled) if one looks closely. There were mildews and molds in the bathroom which were unacceptable. The bathroom also smells because of poor ventilation. I was actually a bit surprised that this happened in a hotel this level. I don’t mind the room is a bit outdated, but at least clean and sanitize it properly.

Great place

This hotel was the biggest positive surprise during our stay in Japan. Great location, just in front of the train station. Nice view. Big spacious room with everything needed and more. Beer machine :) possibility to store the language.

simply put, enjoyed our stay here.

location is brilliant, super close to the station, so very easy access. also on the opposite side of the main street towards the main attraction of Himeji Castle, so that was great. for once we had had breakfast at the hotel, great choices, both Japanese and western styles available. next time will opt for a longer stay.

Convenient hotel in heart of Himeji

We stayed at Hotel Nikko Himeji after trying to decide between Osaka and Himeji-- we settled on convenience for seeing Himeji Castle. Immediately across from the train station and a 20 min walk to the castle, this hotel was very convenient! I was also surprised at how nice it was for a smaller town. The lobby is impressive with tall multi floor ceilings and chandeliers. The room was on the smaller side but with an extremely comfortable bed. The buffet breakfast was delicious with many options and we had a view out over the whole town since it's on an upper floor.

At times I needed to use my translation app with staff but that was not a big deal. Everything else about our stay was great!

Reception made calls to look for my favourite sake unavailable outside of Himeiji and she found it! Great effort.

Breakfast buffet staff training - I arrived at 9:35 unaware that breakfast closes at 9:30 on weekdays (I arrived on Sunday) and they were moving food away. The staff just keep telling me they are closing.. I said I just wanted something to eat and grab whatever that's still there. They didn't even offer me fork or knife, when I grabbed a fork they said it's for desert! What a start to my full day of explanation!

Great As Always

It was superb, as always. I think this is the fifth time we have stayed here. The little touches: The newspaper in the morning, the extra towels and amenity supplies. These made our stay just about perfect.

I would warn guests about coming on Sundays. There was a wedding, and we had a bus to catch for Himeji Central Park. However, the elevator did not budge because the cars were picking up guests on every floor. Moreover, a wedding planner HELD the elevator on many floors, waiting for guests to come. As a result, we nearly missed our bus, though luckily, I had budgeted in an additional 10 minutes beforehand. Also, I forgot that on Sunday evenings, the Garden Club closes two hours earlier, which was a disappointed. Lastly, I should have read the information on ECO vouchers when I arrived in the room. I read it upon check out. I forwent the chance to get a voucher for our next stay as a result, even though we did not use any of the numerous towels we were provided with. Keep in mind that this box says "What didn't you like?" In fact, these are more like points of consideration for guests than points I did not like.

Conveniently located, good value for the money

The Hotel is conveniently located right next to the Himeji Station within close proximity to the Himeji Castle. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Had to pay to use the public bath facility.

Great Again

The dinner was superb. It was the first time we had partaken of the steak buffet. The range of food offerings was stunning. Also, the food was superb, both Japanese and Western. There is something there for everyone. Also, I went to the Garden Club to swim and use the bath/sauna. The facilities were superb. I was delighted, too, that the club was not crowded at all. The staff went beyond the call of duty to make sure I enjoyed my visit. I will go back, to be sure.

Last time, we had a room with a check-out time of 12:00. This time, it was 11:00. We liked it so much, we wish we could have had an extra hour there... does this even qualify as a "negative" point? In an inverted way, it is a compliment to the hotel and its staff.
