Located in Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, this attractive cottage for $185 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. SPRING, SUMMER, AUTUMN IN SOUTHWEST FRANCE - Come to 'CHEZ MACKENZIE' our charming cottage and private swimming pool ideal for 2-4 people deep in the countryside only 10 minutes from St.Antonin-noble-val. Relax by the pool, go and explore the historical bastide towns and savour the delights of the local markets! Long weekend? Toulouse/Blagnac airport is about 70 kms - 1 hour 15mins away! Ideal for 2 to 4 people, our recently restored, tastefully decorated, 2 bedroomed vacation cottage and swimming pool is situated in a small hamlet in the depths of the French countryside about 10 minutes drive from the pretty town of St.Antonin-Noble-Val - 82140 and the beautiful little village of Penne du Tarn - 81140. Cordes-sur-Ciel is about 20 minutes drive. INSIDE THE COTTAGE: Downstairs is an open plan kitchen, dining area and living room, light and airy with the three French windows giving access to the swimming pool, the front courtyard and the ‘inside/outside’ room. The whole house is very well insulated and for those cooler days in spring and autumn, there is a cosy wood burning stove downstairs that keeps the whole house beautifully warm! Upstairs are two bedrooms and one bathroom. Bedroom 1 has 2 single beds (which could be pushed together for an extra large double). Bedroom 2 has a large double bed and French windows that open onto the large upstairs balcony which overlooks the garden and swimming pool areas (great for star gazing at night). I decided on a white and black décor for the bedrooms - light, modern and fun to sleep in! OUTSIDE AREAS: The pool, the sun deck, the outdoor 'rooms' - for swimming, relaxing , reading, barbecue, eating, playing - or whatever - YOU ARE ON HOLIDAY! The swimming pool is 4m x 8m with wide shallow Roman steps which are ideal for young children and less sporty types who feel toe dipping is enough and sun worshipping on one of the chic black loungers is more to their liking. Yes, the sun deck is expansive and the parasols are on wheels, so you can move around and follow the sun or find some shade. Between the house and the pool is the rear terrace with dining table, chairs and barbecue for al fresco eating and comfortable outdoor chairs for reading and relaxing. On the other side of the cottage is the walled front courtyard. A very pleasant area to sit and relax. From the courtyard you can go though the big wooden red doors and explore the HAMLET of FABRE DE LAGRANGE. Go and say bonjour to the chickens across the path, walk to the end of the hamlet and perhaps take a walk along the marked pathway which can take you to the village of PENNE if you feel up to it, otherwise just take a stroll to take in the magnificent views over the Forest of the Gresigne and the Château de Penne. The cottage is situated at the far end of our large main house, so is semi-detached with your own private entrance. Martin and I live at the other end and are happy to help with any additional information about the cottage and things to do and places to visit when out and about in this area of South West France. Most of the time, we will be in our little studio at the end of the garden where we make deluxe photo frames that we sell all over the world via our Etsy internet shop. You are very welcome to take the short walk up the garden and come and visit us in our framing studio - you might find some frames to take home!

A relaxing setting that was a perfect place to unwind, recharge and enjoy the tranquility of the countryside. the property was an ideal base to explore the area with it's impressive scenery and beautiful towns/villages.

Set in hamlet in very peaceful surroundings, this is a perfect place to unwind, recharge and enjoy the tranquility of the countryside, with the beautiful town of St. Antonin Noble Val just 5 miles away. The pool is a wonderful bonus. Our hosts were very kind and friendly, keen to help if required, but discreetly allowed us privacy to enjoy our stay.

Beautiful stay!
What a lovely stay! We really enjoyed a much-needed break, and Denise and Martin’s home was perfect.
A secluded area, the peace was delightful - and the weather held out for us, fortunately!
The house was more than suitable for our needs- clean and spacious. Denise and Martin were about when we needed, and it was great to hear about their labour of love doing up the house for the past 30 years.
We’d visit again and would recommend others to visit too.

Très belle location ...décorations très jolies et cocooning...il ne manque rien ...très bon matériel que ce soit mobiliers et accessoires de cuisine. Tout était parfait même les propriétaire très souriant accueillant et d une discrétion absolus. Je recommande même si j ai envie de garder ce petit coin de bien être pour nous...😊

Super séjour sur le Causse
Denise et Martin sont des hôtes très sympathiques, chaleureux et discrets. La propriété est très agréable, calme et très bien située, proche de Saint Antonin Noble Val, qui est un bourg adorable, qui propose tous les commerces nécessaires, ainsi qu’un très beau marché le Dimanche. Nous avons passé un super séjour, profitant A fond de la terrasse et de la piscine.

Séjour très reposant dans un cocon de verdure avec accès immédiat aux randonnées, à seulement 10 min en voiture de St Antonin. Les hôtes sont adorables. Idéal pour vacances reposantes entre amis.

Séjour très agréable. Les propriétaires sont chaleureux, accueillants, discrets et disponibles si vous avez besoin de quoi que ce soit!
La maison est confortable, bien équipée. L'emplacement est idéal; proche de belles randonnées, de Saint Antonin Noble Val où vous pouvez faire le marché et les courses. Vous êtes dans le calme absolu; repos assuré! C'est un endroit où il fait bon s'y ressourcer! Nous reviendrons une troisième fois certainement!

Magnifique !
Vous serez logés dans une très belle propriété en pierre avec un espace privé épatant. Très bien situé pour ceux qui aiment l'authenticité et la nature pas très loin des pittoresques bastides et des magnifiques gorges de l'Aveyron. De plus, Denise et Martin sont d'une gentillesse exemplaire ! Merci à eux 😊 !

Great cottage & people, lovely area
This was a great short break in a lovely area. Cottage had everything we could want (the woodburner was an added bonus - so warm!) including GB TV access & Denise & Martin were welcoming & helpful. Would thoroughly recommend. Two smaller downsides - wifi is slowish, so no films etc because of buffering but GB TV worked well & mobile signal is fine, & a lot of places, restaurants were closed after the summer season closed but there was still a great deal to explore!

Perfect!
We had a wonderful week in this beautiful gite! Denise and Martin were very welcoming and gave us lots of ideas of where to go during our stay. The gite is full of character and very comfortable, equipped with everything you could want. It is a very peaceful location and the pool is gorgeous for relaxing. We found there is plenty to do in the area with St Antonin only a short drive away.
We would definitely like to return for another family holiday! Many thanks!

A lovely spacious gite with all you need. It is so quiet but close to the ancient town of St Antonin, one of our favourite towns. Denise and Martin were always helpful and able to advise about where to go and whats on. The swimming pool is a delight and was much needed and appreciated during a sunny week.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour. Tout est fait pour que l on se sente comme à la maison. Des hôtes charmants nous accueillent avec une maison agréable, fonctionnelle et tres joliment décorée. Notre seul soucis fut l absence de volets. Le lieu vaut le coup de s arrêter !

Excellent séjour dans une maison confortable et pleine de charme et une région magnifique.
La maison n'est pas immense mais pourvu de tout ce qu'il faut pour y trouver le confort. La décoration est jolie et rend la maison chaleureuse. La piscine est un véritable atout. Elle est située dans un hameau calme et proche de Saint Antonin Noble Val, village pittoresque et très vivant. La région regorge de villages datant du Moyen Age qui méritent la visite. C'est aussi une région où l'on mange bien et où le vin offre de bons crus. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et conseillons vivement la maison des Mackenzie, hôtes particulièrement sympathiques.

Very well equipped and comfortable with plenty of space. Great having English TV for lazy moments.
We enjoyed the seclusion, watching butterflies and birds, enjoyed the immaculate pool and surrounding lounge area. Denise and Martin made us very welcome and were on hand to provide help and information if needed, but kept their distance too. We enjoyed using the complimentary bikes in the surrounding hilly countryside! Sunday market in St. Antonin Noble Val was excellent for provisions at the start of our week. Would highly recommend to those seeking an out of town location with a very well equipped house.

The property is as described, set in a lovely rural area.
The property is lovely, well maintained and clean. Although rural, it is still within reach of the many stunningly beautiful hilltop villages, chateaux and castles in the dramatic Aveyron gorge.
We did not make use of the bicycles provided as I have had knee operations, but appreciate that the surrounding are perfect for biking or walking. The owners, Denise and Martin were friendly and helpful, but not intruding.

Beautiful place for a peaceful holiday
We have just returned from a fabulous 2 week stay at Denise and Martin's amazing property. The pictures don't do it justice, the love and care that has been shown whilst being restored shows throughout the property. Everything is good quality and beautifully presented. The swimming pool and surrounding area is a great sun trap plus there are plenty of lovely areas to sit if you want to stay out of the sun. We cannot recommend this property highly enough and really hope to return next year.

Even better than it looks!
The location was wonderful and the property was even more beautiful and bigger, than it looks in the photos! Martin and Denise, the owners, are such a lovely couple, helpful and friendly, I would recommend a holiday here to friends and family!
