What can I say, an absolutely gorgeous house and what a view!! The house exceeded our expectations- we travel with 2 wheelchair users and often struggle but this house was perfect for us. Kathleen was very quick at responding to our messages and extremely helpful with all our queries. The local area was full of friendly people and so very beautiful. I would 100% recommend this place for a perfect holiday, we all would love to go again

We have fallen in love with Waterville, the (very blessed to live there) locals, the absolutely incredible Lake House (as we now call it), it’s stunning views and most especially our hosts, Kathleen and Timmy. And, we can’t forget to mention their darling dog, Freddie. What I was looking for in a house was a peat burning fire, location, views, and near a village. This is me….my husband also loved the spacious house, not that I didn’t. Timmy made certain we had plenty of peat. He even rescued a sheep that got stuck in a fence in a neighbor’s pasture that we noticed and let him know. Kathleen made sure all our needs were taken care of. They went above and beyond making our stay incredible. So many adjectives, I know…..but well deserved! Please say hello to Dan and Fiona, the owners of our favorite pub, Mick O’Dwyers. We miss everyone already! We WILL be back! Kris and Lori

Secluded house with amazing views of Lough Currane; plenty of room and parking. Everything we needed was in the house. Wonderful to sit outside and picnic over the lough and then watch the sunsets late into the evening. Waterville a short drive away to shops, bars, restaurants and beach. We loved our stay there.

Sheep bleat peacefully in the field below, rabbits meander across the lawn, the view of the loch is entrancing from Lake House on Lake Road. Ireland treated us to warm, dry weather so we trekked Kerry Way, Skellig Bay, and the Cliffs of Kerry enjoying the emerald green hills and azure blue seas. Do you know that cows come trotting if you sing to them? Waterville County Kerry, not to be confused with the other nearby Waterville County Limerick, would seem to be “far from the madding crowd” in southwest County Kerry, but as a popular tourist stop on the Ring of Kerry, it provides both little breakfast nooks and evening fine dining. If the local grocery doesn’t meet your needs (it did ours) bigger towns and bigger stores are not far. Just two of us, we rattled around in the big house, but enjoyed the front room with an expansive view north to the loch, morning sun rays on the clouds to the right and stunning sunsets to the left. Living in always-beautiful Southern California, we looked forward to traditional cold-windy-rainy Irish weather and the peat fueled fireplace to provide a cozy spot to read and sip Red Breast Irish whiskey. But, sadly, the only rain we saw was driving back to Dublin, so we never lit the fire. Someone wrote that if they’d had more time they could have made their letter shorter, and that’s true of this review, too. Truth is, idyllic says it all.
