Villa Mimosa, one of the original winter retreats from the late 19th century, is located in the quiet and exclusive Garavan neighborhood of Menton, almost on the border with Italy. The center of Menton, with its festivals, flea markets, boutiques, numerous restaurants, luxurious beaches, and the promenade, is just a 10- to 15-minute walk away. The villa faces the Mediterranean Sea and the Italian coast and exudes the atmosphere of a bygone era. This romantic villa features a large outdoor area where life mainly takes place year-round. Among the orange and avocado trees, you can enjoy breakfast in the morning sun. The terrace is covered with bougainvillea. Old olive trees, a fig tree, and numerous exotic plants thrive in Menton’s subtropical climate.

Access
The house is tucked away. To reach the house, head down the chic Boulevard de Garavan, descend the stairs until you reach a small wooden gate, pass a flight of stairs alongside a mimosa tree, and arrive at the house set in a beautiful open garden with terraces, old olive trees, and numerous exotic plants.

Layout
The area around the private entrance features stone floors with original red tiles and large windows opening onto a terrace with a seating area and lounge chairs. The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances, including a Smeg refrigerator, dishwasher, and induction cooktop. The master bedroom features two modern Auping single beds (2.0 m long) and a marble fireplace with a mirror. A second bedroom features an original Art Deco bed (1.9 m long), a matching wardrobe, and a marble fireplace. The marble bathroom includes a toilet, a large sink, an original high-roll bath, and a shower. This part of the house can be rented separately and accommodates 2–4 people. The first floor is accessible via an outdoor marble staircase and has a separate entrance. The French-style living room opens onto a boudoir with a sofa that doubles as a bed (1.8 m long). The romantic master bedroom has French doors leading to a balcony with a sea view, features an antique wooden double bed (1.9 m long) with a closet, and a separate bathroom with a shower and matching sink. The library has a bookcase filled with books and magazines. A small kitchen is equipped with modern appliances (induction cooktop, dishwasher, refrigerator). The marble bathroom features an original freestanding bathtub, toilet, and sink. A second marble staircase leads through a hallway to the second floor. This floor features beautiful hardwood floors and offers an exceptional view of the Mediterranean Sea and the rocky coast of Italy.
