The villa is the ideal place for families looking to enjoy a relaxing vacation, away from the crowds that surround the coast, yet with the sea right nearby. The Masseria, with its ancient architecture, enchanting starry skies, and vaulted walls, stone fireplaces, and “secret gardens.” A cozy and romantic atmosphere. A major festival runs from April 30 to May 6, featuring enchanting Baroque lights! Numerous festivals in July and August bring the ancient village to life with market stalls, food tastings, concerts in the squares, and the “Pizzica,” Salento’s famous dance. Patrizia was just amazing!! So kind and accommodating! The place is absolutely stunning, and offers great privacy if you’re travelling with a few families with kids. The main house has two bedrooms and then there is a detached house with a room with a queen and on suite and another double room (queen in one and two singles in the other) which may only be available upon request/depending on how many ppl you are. The sixth room is accessible only from the outside by pretty steep stone steps. Therefore it’s appropriate for an able bodied adult (or two). The room has a queen bed and onsuite! All bedrooms were air conditioned and super comfortable! No air conditioning in main living area! Also, in August, because of the lush gardens, there were mosquitos. Bring repellant! The area is super cute with cafes, restos, piazza all in walking distance!! We absolutely loved our stay!!

We had a fantastic stay! The Villa is marvelous. Patrizia is a fantastic host. She helps you with everything, knows everyone in the area and introduced us perfectly to Salento, where we were the first time. The villa has four fantastic rooms (all with nice A/C), a perfect pool especially for kids (we had 2 - 6&8, good swimmers) and a lovely kitchen, nice patio. The village Spognano is lovely - lots of activities, nice surrounding. We will definitely come back! Loved it - 5 out of 5!

although the villa is old it has been attractively and creatively updated. patrizia (the owner/manager) immediately responded to the few glitches that occurred and was a wealth of information on where to go and what to do in the area. the entire family enjoyed our stay very much.

We really enjoyed the villa, it was unusual and quirky yet spacious - especially outside. It was located in a fantastic position for exploring inland and the coastal delights of Puglia. pat was ver helpful, gave good recommendations of places to visit and restaurants - she even booked them for us. We had this booked pre Covid, and has been postponed twice because elf th pandemic - we were pleased to finally have our holiday.
