About this condo rental
Nestled in San Marco, this attractive condo for $363 per night is a great option for your next break. The apartment is located in the heart of Venice, between Rialto bridge and Piazza San Marco. The apartment is on the second floor and consists of a lobby, drawing room with two comfortable sofas and TV( the two windows of this room overlook the canal ), kitchen - dining room with a view over the bridges and the canal also when you sit at the table, one bedroom with a mullioned lancet window on the canal, a second bedroom with two single bed overlooking the Paradise arch, two bathrooms with shower and mansard room with terrace on the third floor (duplex flat). The area is quiet and there are plenty of shops nearby in the 'calle' (street): supermarket, baker, pharmacy, antique bookshop, news-stand, restaurants, confectionery, the best ice- cream shop etc. There are two supermarkets just two minutes from the apartment (in Venice are rare). F.A.Q. : terrace, 2nd floor, luminous, air conditioning, internet access free, washing machine, dishwasher, microwaves, Satellite TV, a full kitchen and equipped, all linen for the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms, complete supply of table linen, bed linen and towels. 'This romantic corner of Venice with the Arch of Paradise was the source of inspiration for many poets, writers and photographers as Carl Spitzweg in 1832, John Ruskin, Frank Brangwyin in 1910, James Fergusson, the Alinari brothers (important Italian photographers ), The children-book writer Pinin Carpi wrote a book entitled 'Il ponte del Paradiso' , Why should you choose this apartment?: I am aware that it is not easy to rent a house in Venice where the market offers a great choice of apartments for rental. I can say that my decision to buy this apartment in spite of its higher price in respect to other flats of the same size was due to the fact that I found it had some very special and unique features: 1) the fantastic view from all the windows over the canal . You see a canal crossing where the gondolas seem to slip under the building and you feel like living on a bridge in a romantic atmosphere. 2.)f the central location a a at five minute-walk from Sa Marco square and Rialto bridge 3) the terrace 4) the apartment is on the second floor and has a magnificent view. 5) the charming history of the calle and the Paradiso arch. 6) the 'calle del Paradiso' is very quiet and it is close to ' salizzada San Lio 'where you find all kind of shops I would also like to say that the renovation was completed in 2015 and that the apartment was completely equipped with new furniture. A deposit is not requested: we don't ask you to pay for a deposit at your arrival since we have never had any problems with our guests. I am an architect and I put a great deal of passion in carrying out the restoration works. I saved all the original characteristics and I tried to recuperate as much as possible from the old decoration. For example the 'seminato ' floor - a kind of Venetian mosaic - was recreated according to the original pattern (but now it is perfectly even, a very rare thing in Venice!), the ceiling rafts are the old ones and have been perfectly restored, the bedrooms parquet floors are made of elm- wood., It was a great pleasure for me to restore this apartment and I would like to rent it out to people who will appreciate it and think of it as their home in Venice.

Carmen and Paola were lovley to communicate with and the appartment suited our needs. Lovely and clean and having a washing machine was handy. Great location to walk anywhere from. The most beautiful view from one of the bedrooms and the dining area, overlooking a canal and two bridges. Would recommend this appartment.

Lovely 2nd floor apartment overlooking a couple bridges of canals...5 minutes from Rialto bridge...when coming in from Train station take Vaporetto 2 to rialto...easy from there...
6 minutes to St Marks... about 4 to Marco polos house...20 minutes to the accademie 25 minute walk to Guggenhiem..all enjoyable walks...get lost in Venice and find your way back...
Restaurants abound nearby from those with 4.8..
Get to go pasta and pizza nearby as well ...relatively large grocery 2 to 3 minute walk
2nd floor apartment beautiful floors of marble and wood..couches could be updated a little but were sufficient great view of back canals gondaleers and other boats go by...3 bedrooms one with large bed...one with 2 twins..and a large loft with larger bed upstairs...has door to outside sitting too

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in Venice. The apartment was amazing, with beautiful views. It was magical to wake up and have coffee overlooking the canal and see the gondolas go past.

This beautiful apartment is in a great location — tucked away from the crowds but near everything. As others have said, the views from the living room, main bedroom and kitchen are beautiful. The apartment is updated, very clean and the beds were comfortable. The only reason I took off one star is the problem with the dryer tripping the breaker isn’t fixed. But, even knowing that, we would definitely stay here again!

Twenty years have past since my wife and were last in Venice. This time without children in this charming, nicely renovated apartment close to the Rialto bridge and Piazza San Marco. Our host, Paola was great, providing many great recommendations for local restaurants. She also helped get us a water taxi for our return to the train station.
The apartment is very clean and well maintained. The views are incredible. We would definitely return to Venice and this property. Gracie Paola.

Our stay was great. We enjoyed the unit, it’s location, and layout. The check in process was rushed and when we had issues with the washer, and electricity Paola was not able to come and help us. Everything had to be over the phone or email. She did help us locate a breaker that was not shone to us when we checked in, and we were able to fix the problem. In addition the unit was advertised as having a dryer but the only thing available was a drying rack.
Once again the unit is well arranged and pleasant to stay in. Found a great restaurant right next the the location and enjoyed eating there twice. The people at the restaurant could not have been nicer. If you are looking for a great location this will work for you.

We loved this apartment. It was just my husband and I, but we wanted to stay in a nice place with a great view in a quieter area.

Great property, comfortable and clean. There was some difficulty in getting into the property and explaining how everything in the apartment worked and the electricity does not support a dryer which isn't a big deal but we were not taught how to use the washer/dryer and it caused a power outage and we didn't know where or how to turn the power back on. We finally got it worked out but the communication barrier made it a little difficult.
The location and again the property was awesome just a minor setback which was resolved. Thanks for the great stay.

This was the perfect apartment for five adults. Ideal location in the residential Castello neighborhood easily serviced by water taxis and gondolas. Nearby shopping and restaurants. Paolo was so helpful arranging a water taxi for us from the train station and offered valuable tips that made our first trip to Venice so memorable. Grazie!

We really enjoyed our stay in this fabulous property. We found it to be spotlessly clean and exactly as seen in the advert.
We also appreciated that Paola met us at the vaporetto stop and walked us to the property.
We were two couples and found the apartment to be roomy and equipped with anything that we needed for our week’s stay.
The pièce de resistance was without doubt the windows onto the canal. We could easily have spent the entire week sitting, watching the comings and goings of Venice life underneath the windows. Only the fact that we were so near the main highlights of Venice, dragged us away.
We also loved the very typical local square that was 2 minutes walk from the apartment.
We highly recommend this apartment for a stay in Venice which is very convenient to all the attractions but yet in a quiet oasis.
The only improvement we would suggest would be the provision of some extra towels to accommodate being able to wash them more conveniently.
Book this apartment - you won’t be disappointed.

A first time away for our three generational family group. All parts of old Venice are easily accessible from the place in a quiet alley. The owners are easy to talk to and helpful while the property has all you would need for an opportunity to experience Venice and appreciate all it has to offer, which is a lot more than moist tourists see.

We had a wonderful stay in Venice. The home was clean and in a perfect location. We enjoyed watching the gondola's go by for hours on end. The loft was a perfect space for our teenage son. It is conveniently located close to 2 grocery stores, quick pizza and pastries. Getting around was also very easy from this central location yet quiet and off the main streets. We would highly recommend this rental.

I can't imagine a more perfect place for a family to stay in Venice. Less than 10 minutes walk from Piazza San Marco and Rialto Bridge, overlooking two bridges and an intersection of two canals frequented by so many gondoliers that there are often "gondola traffic jams"! We spent hours watching them navigate the turns, duck under bridges, and call out to each other to warn of their approach. Amazing.
There is a square, Piazza Santa Maria Formosa, very close by (1 minute walk) with restaurants, shops, a market, a cafe, a gondola dock... Everything. There is a grocery store just about 3 minutes away. The location can't be beat.
The apartment itself is very clean and well-appointed. We were there during an extreme heat wave so the AC struggled to keep up but if we closed the shutters when we were gone, it helped the place stay cool for when we needed it to be. In addition to the two main floor bedrooms, which could sleep 4 comfortably, the "attic" space is the ideal location for a tween or teen who wants their own lair. The ceiling is low so the adults won't want to go up there to bother them.
It was too hot to enjoy the outdoor terrace on the top floor but the views from the main floor living room and kitchen were better anyway so we didn't miss it.
Our only regret is that we didn't eat in the restaurant below the apartment with its table that is just inches from the canal... That looks like something couples should try!

This apartment is huge by European standards and is right in the middle of everything, but still quiet enough to relax and enjoy your espresso overlooking one of the canals. 10 minute walk to St Marks Square, 5 minute walk to Rialto Bridge. We purchased the 3 day vaporetto pass but really didn’t need it as everything was walkable. 2 grocery stores nearby and several restaurants and bakeries within walking distance. Washer/dryer combo was nice, although the dryer would Trip the breaker so we just air dried our clothes overnight. Highly recommended!!

The apartment was perfect! It was very clean and spacious and had everything we needed during our 3 night stay. The view from our kitchen window was spectacular! We overlooked a channel and enjoyed watching the gondolas pass through while enjoying our morning coffee. The location of the apartment was great. Close to restaurants and shopping but out of the hustle bustle. Check in was very easy. We loved our stay in Rialto and would definitely stay in this apartment again.

This apartment was the saving grace of our visit to Venice. Venice itself so full of tourists that is seems disneyesque. However, this apartment is so perfectly located that it saved us from that overwhelming tourist feeling. We sat in the living room windows for hours, watching the canals, and the gondoliers pass by. The view from this apartment is unrivaled. It is not only clean and well cared for, its location allows you to enjoy a quieter Venice, while still being right in the middle of it. We loved the convenience of having Al Barbacani right down stairs, but there are many wonderful places nearby.

This is a the one! Dont wait, Book it!! Super cute corner apt up 2 flights of stairs. We loved being on a small canal watching the gondolas go by. FYI Venice has luggage porters and you can rent to take your luggage to and from the apartment! Ask the owner for a contact number!

The apartment was great! The view of the canals from the window was like a painting. The owner was helpful and patient as we adjusted our arrival time due to a missed flight. The location was quiet but an easy walk everywhere. Thank you!

Over all we had a great stay. The views from the windows were as advertised; in fact better. Granted Venice is beautiful from almost every angle but you won’t be deprived of its beauty for one moment at this apartment. While the hosts were kind and communicative, the arrival was a bit awkward. Paola met us late (for a €30 surcharge), being that a meeting was necessary due to the complicated nature of it (and Venice). The apartment is tucked away, up several flights of stairs, on an inconspicuous alley. For convenience, we elected to arrive by water taxi (being that it was late) and Paula did not give good instructions. She should’ve just told us to tell the taxi driver to drop us at Campo Santa Maria Formosa. Instead she went on about how we should tell the taxi driver to drop us nearby Ristorante Ai Barbacani, etc.,which is located downstairs (which is a lovely dining experience, by the way). The stress she created by not giving clear instructions was unwelcome as the arrival after a day of international travel is always going to be stressful, and every little thing can lead to a big problem. That was entirely avoidable. The other thing I would say is it’s time for them to replace the mattresses pillows and linens. I didn’t sleep that well. Overall, great stay. I’d think about staying there again, but be aware that it’s not a five-star experience in every regard.

The view from this apartment is so lovely. It is in a great location to watch gondolas from the window, but also in a quiet area. It was very close to many sites, restaurants, and shipping within walking distance.
We were staying with our two teenagers and it was great to have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It was also nice to have a space to hang out in the living room. The WiFi was fast and Paola was very helpful with check in and info about Venice.

What a beautiful and convenient apartment! We were near or near transport to everything we wanted to do, including Murano, the Basilica and Doges’ Palace, and the museums. Close to the Rialto Bridge in the Castello neighborhood, this jewel of a place felt like home. The view of the canal was so fun to see every day! Many thanks Paola and Carmen.

Our group of five adults thoroughly enjoyed the apartment. It's in a great location just five minutes' walk from both San Marco and the Rialto, and eight from F. Te Nuvo - so very easy to get to from all forms of transport. It's comfortable, well equipped and very good value for money, with no fuss contact with the owners. Would recommend.

Our family had a wonderful stay! The apartment is everything described - and better. We enjoyed the great view of the canals during meals at the dining table. The kids curled right up in the cozy loft. The showers and bathrooms were amazing! Paola was super helpful in advice and setting up a water taxi back to the airport.
We had a great time in Venice! We even took the gondola ride right past the beautiful flat! The apartment was a great home base to see everything, with grocery stores, great restaurants, and shopping all just outside the door!

We loved sitting at the dining table watching the gondoliers and listening to their call. The apartment was furnished comfortably and tastefully. It was very close to San Marco and Rialto. It was easy to get to all the sights in Venice. Lots of dining choices (Restaurant Barbacani just outside the door!) close by and the grocery store down the street offered options if you prefer to dine at home. Paola arranged for a porter to help with our luggage and was responsive to all our questions. I highly recommend this property for a convenient and memorable stay without all the crowds.

You will be fascinated by the activity happening right before your eyes as you gaze out the windows of your apartment, viewing the working boats, the water taxis, and especially the gondolas! Carmen and Paola are very accommodating and helpful in arranging your arrival and departure and whatever else you need in between. Obviously, my husband and I had a great time staying in this apartment in such a special location in Venice.

What a find! You really feel like you're in Venice when you can see gondolas out your window. Very clean with 2 bdrm and 2 bath on first level, nice loft on 2nd level with a quaint terrace.
Note- 2nd floor apt with no elevator. If you can walk all the bridges in Venice- you'll be fine.
