Walking into the cozy living room felt welcoming. The double bed was comfy, and the bathroom had everything I needed. Grocery stores are nearby, making it easy to grab essentials. Plus, being close to the river was wonderful for afternoon dips and walks.

De woning is een oud en ruim rijhuis. De garage ligt vol rommel. Er is wel plaats voor twee of meer auto's. We hebben het niet geprobeerd maar met een grotere auto zal het omwille van het smalle straatje moeilijk zijn om gemakkelijk in en uit te rijden. Wij parkeerden iets verder op een parking.
In het dorp is niet veel te zien. Er is een bakker, een (goede) beenhouwer, een pizza-zaak en een krantenwinkel. Op dinsdag en donderdag staat er een groentekraam. Buiten het dorp is een Super U.
Alleen het kerkhof van Thézan, dat boven op een heuvel achter het dorp ligt, is (voor de liefhebbers) de moeite waard. Er is een goede wijnboer richting Beziers, Des 1000 Roses (vanaf 7,5 eur per fles).
De plaatselijke jeugd maakt tot 's avonds laat rondjes op hun brommertjes.
Er is geen ontvangst voorzien. Het huis wordt beheerd door een agentschap. De sleutel zit in een kluisje aan de voordeur waarvan je de code krijgt.
Beneden is er een badkamer met douche. De douchekop is stuk.
De keuken stonk naar rotte vis. We hebben bij onze aankomst flink moeten poetsen om de week door te komen.
De voorraadkast staat vol met etenswaar die vorige bezoekers hebben achtergelaten, dikwijls vervallen producten. Idem voor het vriesvak in de koelkast. De afvoerpijp van de wc op de bovenverdieping loopt door de voorraadkast. Smakelijk.
De badkamer boven is (zeer) gedateerd maar leek proper. De douche is krap. Ook in de badkamerkast allerlei zaken van vorige bezoekers, ... gebruikt scheergerief, gebruikte tandenborstels, medicijnen, tampons, ...
Het bedlinnen was proper. De vloer op de slaapkamers ook. Op de kasten lag 1 mm stof. In een lade vonden we vuile sokken.
Het terras is ruim. Het was ook echt vies. Nooit echt schoongemaakt. De terrasmeubels, vooral de kussens, waren vies en hebben we niet willen gebruiken. We hebben de hele week op een stoel van binnen gezeten. De tuin is niet onderhouden en woekert zodat men vanop het terras geen uitzicht heeft.
Al bij al spijtig omdat het huis toch charme heeft moest het echt opgeruimd en proper zijn.
