About this condo rental
Situated in Edinburgh, this attractive condo for $305 per night is a great option for your next break. - Modernised throughout and located on a quiet street, this is the ideal base to explore Edinburgh. - Two large double bedrooms, large living area with fire place, brand new equipped kitchen and new bathroom with shower (photos of new kitchen and bathroom not updated). - Private garden area for guest use out at the front of the property and space for relaxing outside in the summer. - Perfect Location - 5 minute walk to George Street and 4 minute walk to the famous Botanical Gardens. This a beautiful Edinburgh property, located on a quiet street in the heart of Edinburgh's New Town. The property has been lovingly restored to provide a spacious, yet comfortable and modern base for your Edinburgh adventures. There are restored wooden floors and lovely features, such as original wall art throughout the home, that create an abundance of charm and character. Upon entering off the private courtyard area, you are met by the well brand new equipped kitchen and the spacious living area is to the right. The living area features comfortable seating, a new flat screen TV and a charming electric fire place. There’s also recently added a full dining table and chairs. There are two good sized bedrooms to the rear of the property, both with ample storage spaces and very comfortable beds! My cleaners will make these up with hotel quality linen and towels for your stay. There is also a brand new shower room between the two bedrooms that was completed December 19. There is also free street parking available all weekends and evenings (after 530pm). Pay and display during normal office hours (830am -530pm). £3.10 per hour with a maximum of 4 hours in one spot. For longer term parking we recommend Just park who our guests seem to love. There is a crib in the property available for smaller children but please note there is no separate bedding provided for this.

We did get lost finding it. Spent some time on #8 Cumberland st before being directed around the building to Cumberland lane. Our bad.

This is a pleasant property but the whole experience was ruined from the start by a problem with the heating. We were visiting Edinburgh during a cold March weekend and were only told that the heating wasn't working as we were about to open the door. An engineer apparently could only be booked for the NEXT day so we were left without heating for the first night of a two-day stay with our young nephew. We immediately asked for supply of a fan heater or a portable radiator. This request was simply ignored and it appears the host isn't even in Edinburgh so there are no real contingencies where these kind of issues take place. The only other source of heat was an electric fire which turned itself off repeatedly after a few minutes. There were communications with the host, but the ultimate response was 'feel free to give me a bad review' - so this VRBO host would rather guests have a negative experience than take concerted steps to resolve a problem. This was our first stay at a VRBO property: based on this experience it will most definitely be the last. We will be contacting VRBO and the host to obtain a refund on this stay.

Enjoyed but have one suggestion. It rained quite a bit while we were there and it was impossible not to track some dirt in even though there was a door mat immediately inside the door that was too small. Suggest one at the foot of the first step inside.

This is a nice apartment clearly recently renovated . Access to this very old building in an historic part of town is offputting at first as through three locked doors and across a small walkway over a canal and through a tiny yard then up a VERY narrow staircase. Carry one case at a time. We feared we had made a mistake but once inside the apartment it is spacious clean and modern. One side faces a street but the bedroom is quiet and faces a courtyard. The kitchen is fine but lacks lights above the cooking area which is very dark as a result. This needs addressing. Owner communication was terrific . Location very good and you can walk everwhere including to the station

Easy walking distance to all we wanted to do downtown. Very clean, quiet, and had everything we needed. Close walk to grocery store, so longer stays that involve cooking would be no problem. Would certainly stay here again!

This flat was perfect for our stay in Edinburgh being within walking distance of many attractions. While being tucked away in a quiet private neighborhood. It was also clean & very comfortable with newly updated features. The beautiful patio space topped it off and I would love to visit it again !

You will not be disappointed !
Prior to arrival, directions and instructions were supplied as promised, taxi from the train station to property is just under £10. When you enter the property you are greeted by a clean and cosy kitchen, however everything you may need in the kitchen is available. You then enter the lovely space of the lounge area , and work your way through the property to the bedrooms and bathroom. These were all immaculately clean, with fresh linens and towels provided. We found the overall temperature of property comfortable, and only used fire on a low setting to add glow to the room during the evening. Good information pack is available with emergency contact if needed. The location to princess street is a good steady 30 minute walk as some of it is up hill. The location was lovely and quiet. Looking forward to coming back in 2022 !

Great location in the New Town of Edinburgh.
The flat is in a particularly great location in the New Town. Easy walks to restaurants and shops and main attractions, but in a relatively quiet area too. Flat was comfortable with all the amenities a traveller needs

Garden Flat City Centre
This flat is perfect for a city break; 15 minutes walk or a short taxi ride from Princes St gardens. Very close to Stockbridge/Dean Village if you want to avoid the usual city centre haunts. The flat itself was ideal and Gemma's communications before and during were exactly what was needed. The apartment itself is in a very quiet neighbourhood and just as decscribed in the listing

Lovely garden flat
We had a short stay in Edinburgh and wanted to stay near our past residence. We were so happy to find this flat which made us feel right at home and Gemma made everything very easy. It fit our family of four perfectly. We would happily stay here again.

Lovely apartment
This apartment was very clean, well decorated and in a quiet neighborhood. Shops and restaurants were a 5-10 minute walk. Train station was almost 15 min walk, and the Royal Mile just two min further. There is a taxi rank around the corner also, making it easy to get a taxi despite being in a quiet neighborhood. Linens and bedding were nice.

Quite side of Edinburgh
We really enjoyed our stay in Edinburgh --this place had a great location close to pubs, grocers and bus line. It was on a quiet street but the Cumberland Pub was a 2 minute walk away. Waverly station and many shops and Restaurants were a 15 minute walk away. The host provided wonderful amenities like big towels, comfy bedding and shampoos and soaps. It would be improved if there were more places to hang clothes and towels. One bedroom has no closet. There is a washer but it takes hours to do one load and no dryer. There is a local laundry near-by that was much more efficient to use.
