Not for me
The house was spacious and clean
Firstly, to pull off the road into the drive is a nighmare, its on a bend coming from Builth, and we had a few near misses, when you arrive, there's a ring doorbell and security cameras, which covers the driveway and the garden so you feel like your are constantly being watched which I didn't like and not because I was doing anything wrong. We had a phone call 10 mins after we arrived asking if we got in ok, which was obviously known as the door bell would have picked us up! The lay out was lovely but the beds were hard, so I'm glad we only stopped 3 nights. The upstairs ensuite left nothing to the imagination! I've been with my husband 26 years but don't want to sit on the toilet in full view of him, there's no door and can be seen from the bed, so we let our daughter sleep upstairs. In the lounge there's one 3 seater sofa, 2 bucket chairs, which weren't comfortable and one rocking chair. Considering the house sleeps 7 there's not enough seating. We couldn't sit and watch a movie as there's no comfort. There's only one tv in the whole house do it's a case of every watches the same thing or nothing! It's a good job my son and his wife couldn't make it or we would have struggled for seating. The kitchen was dirty, the grease on the extractor fan was do thick you could write your name in! Every wine glass was covered in fingerprints and lip marks, the dishwasher had dried in food on the inside door. I took photos. I left my firestick on the tv cabinet in the lounge and despite two emails through booking.com, I had no reply, I offered to collect it on our way back through Builth after the rest of our holiday or pay for the postage but got no reply. I had to chase for my damage deposit, which was only requested the night before my holiday, luckily I saw the email, then waited 2 weeks for my refund. I won't be returning, we visit Builth a lot as we have family there but will try another accommodation,

Lovely spot
Great location and the kitchen/living room is spot on.

A truly lovely place to stay - inside and out. A few little niggles recorded in the visitor book!
Perfect cottage for 6 friends staying together for 4 nights to attend the Hay Festival.
Both groups struggled to find the cottage on arrival - we don't think providing google maps link is enough. A written description and signage would make it easier.
