Lovely People, nice cats

And Piera and Giuseppe are the most kind hosts ever. We were served homemade lasagne, pizza, oliven from the graden - and still you have your privacy. Enjoyed having the pool for ourselves. It’s perfect for two families travelling together.

We visited as a family of five in August (children of various ages). The owner, Piera, is very friendly and most helpful. She lives in the house next door, never intrudes but is always there if you need something. The house is near the autostrada (about 7-8 minutes by car to Lucca, 35 minutes to Florence) but located in a very peaceful neighborhood full of trees and plants. The only setback is a small, narrow bridge you have to cross to get to the house, if you have an oversize trailer or alike, check the exact measurements with the owner first (a Ford Galaxy passes without any problems). The house is large and cool, much better equipped than your usual rental (ice machine and other extra equipment in the kitchen). It's not new, but is well maintained and has a very cozy, good feel to it. The large patio is nice and the top of the garage is full of children's toys. The pool is in the backyard of the house next door, about 20 steps away, so it's not inconvenient at all. The small gate between the two yards can be closed so that children cannot get into the pool area unattended. The pool has a filter using salt, and the water doesn't stink of chlorine but is slightly salty and very pleasant. By far the friendliest and best equipped rental we ever visited in Italy, would warmly recommend to anyone.
