About this house rental
This large apartment of 140 sqm is situated in the upper part of Praiano on the Amalfi Coast in a quiet and panoramic position. Recently it has been completely renewed. Villa Olympia boasts a terrace of 100 sqm with a splendid view of Capo di Conca and the Gulf of Salerno. It is perfectly equipped with tables and chairs for your outdoor meals and, of course, with deck chairs and sun umbrellas. It is partly shaded by an awning. Here you will find an outdoor shower and a washing machine, too. You enter the terrace either from the living room or from two of the double bedrooms. You reach the apartment going up 25 steps from the street level. It consists of one living room with double divan bed, satellite television, a dining table for six guests and a kitchen, furnished with electric oven, microwave, fridge and freezer and a four-flame gas cooker. Furthermore there are three double bedrooms, all with en-suite bathroom (shower and hairdryer). Two bedrooms have a small balcony with sea view. All bedrooms have a television set. The whole house is air conditioned.
A grocery store, restaurants and the stop for the bus connecting Praiano with Positano are a five minutes walk away. To reach the beach it will take you about 10 minutes.

The villa has easy 25 steps from the street level which was very important for us not young people. Great location: easy few minutes walk to grocery store, restaurant, local bus stop that can take you to the beautiful beach and bus to Positano are across the street ; not difficult 10-15 minutes walk down the hill to the bus stop to Amalfi, Sorrento. The terrace and view are beautiful.
But the villa has some problems: the layout of the rooms is not comfortable. Bedroom 1 doesn’t have windows and if you need to go to kitchen or living room you have to go through two other bedrooms or go outside of the house using hallway and enter kitchen from the terrace . Also this bedroom doesn’t have internet service. Bedroom 2 doesn’t have bathroom adjacent to it. You have to use bathroom in living room and to reach it or reach kitchen and living room you have to go through bedroom 3. As a result Bedroom 3 doesn’t have privacy. This layout really uncomfortable in case of 3 different families. The hot water is a real problem. During our 2 weeks stay I was able to have hot shower only 2 times and it lasts for max 10 minutes . In the kitchen we never had hot water . Toaster didn’t work. The host gave us one big and one small towel per person for the whole week. Which is definitely not enough.
Also not enough supply of toilet paper and you have to buy laundry detergent. It was not supplied at all. TV didn’t work. No coffee machine.
And unfortunately the host was not very pleasant and welcomed person. I called him with questions next day after check in and he never got back to me.
