Stay in the authentic heart of the Cinque Terre! Stella Marina Apartment is located in Corniglia, the most peaceful and charming village of the area, right on the main square where the shuttle from the train station arrives.
Set on the second floor of a traditional Ligurian house, this bright and spacious 100 sqm apartment is spread over two levels and offers everything you need for a relaxing stay.
The space
• Spacious open-plan living area with sofa bed, dining table, and fully equipped kitchenette
• Private terrace with table and chairs, overlooking gardens and vineyards, with a glimpse of Manarola in the distance
• 1 double bedroom
• 1 attic twin bedroom (partially open to the living area)
• 2 bathrooms, one with hydromassage bathtub
• Washing machine
Perfect for families or small groups, the apartment comfortably hosts up to 6 guests.
Location highlights
You’ll be just steps away from restaurants, cafés, bakeries, and local artisan shops, fully immersed in the authentic village atmosphere.
Getting there
We highly recommend arriving by train, as cars are not necessary in the Cinque Terre and parking is very limited.
Corniglia station is located below the village:
• Shuttle bus to the center in 5 minutes (tickets available on board)
• In Autumn / Winter Service available until 6:45/ 7:00 PM. In Summer Service available until late evening
• After that: access on foot via road or the famous Lardarina staircase (377 steps!)
Please note: there is no taxi service.
The apartment is just a few steps from the shuttle stop.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this apartment, with a couple opportunities for improvement. Communication with host was good, though they are 30km away from the property. We had an issue with a clogged tub drain which they addressed the following day to our satisfaction. The location of the apartment cannot be beat - directly next to the bus stop between Corniglia and the train station. The deck is lovely with a beautiful view of the church and the sea, however the AC compressor is loud and blows hot air on you while outside. The apartment was not stocked with enough toilet paper - we bought our own. Would be nice to have some paper towels in the kitchen. The first level bathroom is not a bathroom, but a laundry room with a toilet. There was some sort of dirt or other material (??) that had collected beneath the water heater that was unsightly and not cleaned up before we arrived. The bathtub is nearly entirely unusable to stand up in due to the slanted ceiling, this should be noted in the description - we all sat down for a shower. Overall we loved it, however, and recommend highly with those caveats.

The home was very nice and clean. The owner was responded quickly to all our questions. Very hot weather in Italy while we were there, but the apartment had very good air conditioning. The living area was very comfortable and it had a nice balcony with pretty views. Conveniently located where the bus drops you off in Corniglia. Circular stairway to the bedrooms made it too hard to carry our luggage up to our bedroom, so we just carried what we needed upstairs. Main bed was comfortable and we slept well. The shower was the only negative as you do have to sit or kneel in the tub. We enjoyed our 4 days in this apartment.

We really enjoyed our stay! The apartment is large, well decorated and very clean. The location is excellent - Right on main square (where there are 2 small markets, cash machine, Restaurants etc, view of houses and church). While other side has a balcony where we had breakfast with a view of green and coast in the distance. Kitchen has most everything (even dishwasher). That dishes and pans are located in cupboard in living space less practical but doable. Master bedroom beautiful, single beds cozy but not in closed off space. Worked ok for us, but something to keep in mind. The living space Is large and comfortable. We had some bad weather so we’re glad for the space to hang out together, in between exploring. The big negative was that the bathroom although beautiful Is not practical for showering. You need to sit down in Jaccuzzi bath to shower. Not ideal for us tall ones and when coming back from the beach. Otherwise excellent eye for detail (Lists of towels, crisp sheets, dishwasher soap etc) and fast response to questions. Had problem with gas stove (vent and pilot light out) - they sent person to fix it with our permission of course. Corniglia was wonderful- cosy, great view of ocean From on high and sunset point and several good restaurants. That said we were there during Sept and COVID time so it was not overrun with tourists. Highly recommended!!!
