About this bed and breakfast

Nestled on five secluded, tree-lined acres, with a pond, waterfall, fire pit, tree swing, basketball court and walking trails, The Shire feels a million miles away from it all - but isn't! We are only minutes away from wineries, breweries, amazing beaches, restaurants and shopping. (Notre Dame is an easy 30 minute drive).

Southwest Michigan is a beautiful place to live!

We'd LOVE to share it with you.

This is a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom 1,100 apartment located on the backside of the outbuilding on our property - completely out of the sight lines to our home which is about 50 yards away.

We have a pond with a waterfall and a deck to enjoy both. Enjoy the fire pit and tree swing, walking trails and 2 acre open field. There is a 1/2 court basketball, beach supplies in the front closet.

This year we chose The Shire for our girls trip bc it was close to a winery we love to go to. The owners were the best hosts. The place was clean & comfortable. Beds were great too. We will definitely come back again! Thank you so much for a lovely stay at The Shire & your hospitality!
