About this house rental
The lake is your backyard!
We have lots of things to do right here at the property, and we love families! For the kiddos, we have a high chair and a Pak 'n Play, along with toys, books and games.
In the summertime we have a pontoon boat for rent* as well as pedal boats, and kayaks that come with the rental. We provide more on-site fun with a movie theater, a pool table, electronic dart board, cornhole, horseshoes, and more.
The entire lower level of our home has been renovated to accommodate guests.
The lake is your backyard, with a short and easy walk down to the cove.
We have a private dock in a secluded cove. You can rent our 24-foot pontoon boat for $250 a day during season (May through mid-September, please check for availability as we also rent it to other area cabins).
Enjoy a large great room with 12-foot ceilings and a stone fireplace. The space has a theater room, pool table, dart board, dining area for 6 (with a table that expands for extra guests) and a small kitchenette. There is more seating outside on a huge covered patio, with a grill, dining table and chairs. The large backyard leads down to the cove. We have kayaks, a bonfire pit, corn hole and horseshoes.
It's about 10 minutes to town, where you will find grocery stores, restaurants, and local shopping.
THINGS TO NOTE:
We are in residence upstairs, but you will have complete privacy with a separate entrance and a locked door on the stairs to the upper level. We have 4 inches of sound-suppressing foam over the door, and a gate at the top of the stairs as well. We frequently never meet or even see our guests.

The "kitchenette" is a small former wet bar that has been outfitted with a coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, convection burner, crock pot and griddle. There is no oven or stove, but there is a gas grill outside with a side burner for pasta, rice, or anything you would cook on a stove.
Lake Nottely is a TVA "working" lake, which means there is a big draw-down in the Fall. Our cove is usually full from mid-April through September. They begin to drop the water after Labor Day.
We have a washer and dryer upstairs you are welcome to use. We plan to install one downstairs eventually, hopefully by next year.
Unfortunately, we can't accept pets, but Nottely Oaks Animal Hospital and Pet Resort is approximately a mile down the road. They will happily board your furry friends, and release them for daytime adventures, to be returned later on. If you're interested in this option, just look them up. I would happily post their website and phone number, but VRBO won't let me.

Margie and Doug were exceptional hosts! Their communication was excellent from start to finish, and if anything needed attention, they took care of it immediately.Their property has so much to offer that you really don’t even need to leave. Everything you might need is only about 10–15 minutes away, but we spent most of our time enjoying everything right there. My 11-year-old son caught 14 fish, including his very first catfish, which was definitely a highlight of our trip!The beds were incredibly comfortable, the water pressure was fantastic, and we were genuinely impressed with the quality of the projector in the movie room—it truly felt like we were at a real movie theater.They have thought of everything: life jackets, fishing rods, nets, kayaks, pedal boats, cornhole, a pool table, board games, and so much more. There was never a dull moment.We had an amazing stay and will absolutely be back. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and fun getaway!

Lots of space and very peaceful location! You have to be creative with the kitchen space but very doable. We ate many of our meals there (and there were 5 of us, teens and adults!). The pontoon boat was such an added benefit! Doug gave all needed instructions and it was so convenient! All we had to do was walk (or ride the golf cart) down to the dock. So much fun! Our girls loved the theater room and the big screen! Great communication. Doug was very kind and attentive to any need we had. Would def stay again if in the area.

This property is the best that I have stayed in over the last 25 years of going to North Georgia. The owners are very kind and helpful. Inside, the accommodations are really nice with a movie theater, games, books, and a pool table! The outside has the beautiful lake, kayaks, paddle boats, fire pit, horseshoes, corn hole, and even a pontoon boat that can be rented. The wildlife is fun to watch. Many deer, squirrels, birds, etc can be seen while sitting on the patio. I will continue to come back to this property.

Not a good fit for us. A long way down a fairly steep hill from the parking area to the unit. My wife could not navigate without my help. Making multiple trips with luggage upon arrival and on departure was difficult. In the fall the lake is drawn down so poontoon not available and kayaks and fishing hard for us at our age. Sound in theater room broken. We did see a lot of deer which was nice. Could be a great place for younger renters with some updates.
