About this apartment rental
Ca' Leonessa is a recently (2010) restored luxury apartment located in the heart of Venice. It is a short walk from the bus and railway stations. Due to its superb location all the sites of Venice are either within walking distance or a couple of stops on the vaporetto. In the furnishing of the apartment the prime consideration has been to create a comfortable and welcoming oasis for you after a busy days sight seeing in magical Venice.
The living room (which overlooks the canal and the Campo San Barnaba) features two Natuzzi sofa's (one double sofa bed) a Linn sound system and HD television with DVD/CD player.
Both bedrooms are bright and airy with comfortable beds and have plenty of hanging/storage space in the bespoke wardrobes. Bedroom 1 has a luxurious double bed with fine linens and traditional Venetian fabrics. Bedroom 2 has two single beds. Both bathrooms are fully tiled with power showers.
The kitchen has been hand built and features dining for 6.

Would you like a quiet and comfortable spot for 2 couples in the heart of Dorsoduro? Yes, please! We knew this location would be good but it ended up being GREAT. Everything you could need within easy walking distance yet nestled on a quiet canal in a (mostly) residential area. The tourist hot spots are easily accessible but the throngs of people that crowd them rarely come into Dorsoduro so it feels like "old Venice" used to. The nearby piazza had several great restaurants, a bakery, a grocery store, and excellent people watching opportunities. The apartment is well equipped and very comfortable for 2 couples traveling together. The sitting room is PERFECT and overlooks a beautiful little canal. One of the bedrooms is on the back of the house and you couldn't hear a pin drop all night long. The other bedroom overlooks the canal and is a bit noisier, especially on weekend evenings, so if you're a light sleeper bring earplugs. We will return to this perfect location the next time we are in Venice!

Ca' Leonessa is situated in a wonderful area of Venice. It is a lively, mostly Italian, neighbourhood. The area has many good places for dinner. It is very near the vaporetto stop which makes it very easy to get around. It was nice being so central but not with the maddening crowd. The apartmenet is a good layout and the rooms are spacious. I would stay here again.

Location was good. We could have used more bath towels since we were there for 4 days and the bathroom drying racks didn’t work. Need to bring your own soaps and it would have been nice to have some kind of a shelf in the shower for toiletries. Lots of paint chips on the floors.
