The apartment is close the hstoric centre of Catania. It is in a secure courtyard which is very quiet and we heard no noise at all during our stay. The apartment is very comfortable with everything that you will need for a short stay. Anna Maria is a fantastic and friendly host, who communicated with us very well before and during our stay, as well as chatting with us as we checked out. She provided a list of local sites to see as well as a list of local restaurants that included the types of food served and also how far they were from the apartment, which we found very helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending her appartment to friends, and it will be our first choice when we next visit Catania.

I enjoyed this location so much that I booked it for another long stay, 25 days! Unsurprisingly, Anna Marie’s place was still beautifully kept and she provided the same thoughtful hosting as last time. I highly recommend renting this apartment as a home base to explore Catania and the eastern coast of Sicily, as its location is ideal and the proximity to attractions and transportation are a huge benefit.

Fantastic apartment in a great location! Ideal for both short and long stays. I highly recommend if you are looking to stay near historic landmarks and a variety of restaurants.

Ideal for a couple. Very central to everything, restaurants everywhere and nice food. We ate in so many different ones. We would usually do breakfast at the apartment but if you need to it is possible to cook anything you want Anna Marie has it all very well equipped. If you are on a budget then the markets in Catania are tremendous you can buy all the fresh food you need. The choice is fantastic,fruit and veg meat fish its all there everyday. We like the sea and the beach and for 1 euro each way the local bus it has the letter D on the front takes you to La Playa a beautiful sandy beach about 3 kilometres from town we did this a lot.We were there the last 2 weeks in May and the weather starts to get really warm then. It is also the best time to go if you want it reasonably quiet. Personally I would avoid July and August. We just used public transport, bus and a train station perfect for any place you might want to visit. We thought about hiring a car but decided not to the drivers in Catania are something else. We watched in amazement at the apparent lack of order on the roads and anything goes. But overall its 5 stars for us and we will be back
