We booked this house under the assumption that the house was the same in the pictures. First off, the property listed had the wrong address. When we arrived at the house at midnight, we were trying to get into the house. After several failed attempts, we called Carole and she was very rude stating that we "woke [her] up out of [her] sleep." Mind you, we are minorities trying vigorously to enter someone elses home at midnight in a land that was foreign to us. She then told us the proper address (which wasn't listed on VRBO) and when we got there it took us 2 hours to get the lock box to open because the code that we had received from her was incorrect. When we got into the property, it was filled with bugs. Carole told us that was because an exterminator sprayed the Tuesday before our stay (additional information that was not listed on VRBO or through private messages). She stated that she would send her cleaning lady to the property to clean for us and waive the cleaning fee. We told her that we did not feel comfortable with the cleaning crew in the house while we were gone and so we declined. We wrote her a letter telling her that we were not comfortable at the property and that we have vacated the premises the very next morning after our first night there. We requested a full refund being that the property was not the same one listed, the property was dirty, and the property had chemical residue. Having an elderly church member with us during our stay, we had no choice but to leave because of their health. Carole then denied our refund request, charged us the cleaning fee that she claimed she waived, and went ghost on us. Carole and this stay left many things to be desired and I would not recommend this stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. It was our first trip with our small dog. The enclosed yard was a bonus for her and us, as we enjoyed sitting outside and having lunch out. The rooms were a perfect size and very clean. The location was close to stores. We plan to rent here again next year.

We were here to see family that live in close proximity to the area. The beds were very comfortable. The place was clean and a few amenities supplied. I did have to go buy shampoo and conditioner, and the TP in the hallway bathroom was paper tissue thin. It was very adequate, however. I would stay here again, but bring the essentials with me.

Wonderful place to stay!
We spent a long weekend at Hunt Cottage during 2019 hunt week, and we a wonderful stay. The cottage is very clean, comfortable, and includes all of the necessary amenities. The location is great - you're close to downtown Aiken, around the corner from your usual stores and restaurants, and we weren't far away from the equine spots we needed during our stay. Having the fenced in backyard was great for our dogs and we enjoyed the private area to spend time outside. Carole provided us with all of the information we needed and made it very easy for us to extend our stay by a night. We're already looking forward to next year!

Wonderful place to stay!
We very much enjoyed our stay at Hunt Cottage in Aiken. Carole, the owner is wonderful, responsive and easy to contact! She truly wants your stay to be perfect. Hunt Cottage is very clean, comfortable and stocked with everything you need to feel at home. We enjoyed having a quiet place while still being just a few minutes from everything in Aiken! Be sure to visit the historical museum in town and the train station/visitors center. Don't miss the live music downtown on Thursday evenings. We are already planning our return trip!

Wonderful condo!
We really enjoyed our stay. The condo is quite spacious, the second bathroom is a definite plus. Very comfortable beds, even the couch that one of our kids slept on. Beautifully decorated and updated. Adorable back yard with a fire pit and a grill. We plan to make this an annual trip.

Property was perfect for us. Very comfortable, safe, and everything we needed. We had a good time.
This is the perfect place to stay in Aiken. The rooms were large and furniture and beds were comfortable comfortable. The decor was pretty, too. We were there five days and the time flew by. Great area to walk the dog we brought with us, shady and grass covered. We felt very safe and it was quiet. Everything you might need was close by: shopping, restaurants, movie theater, etc.--all in the same complex. Aiken has a lovely dog park with wading pool and fountain, shady places to sit, balls to throw for the dogs, clean drinking water, plenty of area for the dogs to run free and friendly people to talk with. We could use the park for a free-will donation. I left directions in the condo. Carole was always available, pleasant to deal with and prompt in responding to our questions. Thanks, Carole

Great place to stay
This condo was the perfect place for my wife and I to stay while in Aiken for a horse show. It was convenient and easy to find. The home was in perfect shape and had everything we needed. Carole let us check out after we were done showing which made the stay even more pleasant and the show less stressful :)

Comfortable, clean, conveniently located to shopping and downtown Aiken.
We loved staying at the condo during our recent visit to Aiken. It's conveniently located with shopping and many restaurants nearby. It's just a few minutes drive to downtown Aiken. What a charming town! The condo is very clean and comfortable. It's so much better than a hotel! The owner is responsive and helpful. We arrived late in the evening and the lights were left on for us which we greatly appreciated. We look forward to many more visits to Aiken and we hope to stay here again.

Wonderful stay
Very nice clean and comfortable. A wonderful location and nice neighbors. Love the closed in backyard. Private and quite space. The home had everything one would need for comfort. The owner is a terrific lady who answers a question you might have while staying there . The only thing I had a problem with was the TV.

A cozy little cottage -- with a touch of class!
We rented this cottage to escape from hurricane Irma. It was so wonderful to turn the key to the little cottage and find such a well decorated condo. The kitchen was well equipped and the condo was clean and tidy. We had to interact with the owner several times because we had so much wind and rain and were checking out of a hotel to come to the cottage. Carol was so helpful in that she had the cleaning woman clean our cottage the day before so that we could check in by 11:00 a.m., instead of the usual check in time of 4:00 p.m. That was so considerate of Carol and we did appreciate it so much. I would recommend this little gem to anyone who wanted to tour Aiken, SC, which is a charming old town which specializes in "horses" --- we love Aiken for a quick get-away even when we aren't RUNNING FROM A STORM.
