I loved the location--walkable to the historic center but also walkable to the beaches in the other direction, plus close to a major supermarket and other shops. The communication was clear and getting into the apartment was easy. The space is compact but with lots of amenities; dishwasher and washer are hugely helpful. I didn't use the kitchen much but it seemed to have everything one would need for cooking, and it was great to arrive on a hot day and have cold waters waiting in the fridge. The bed was comfortable. Wifi worked well. The space is cute and has homey touches that make it feel lived-in. There currently isn't a gate for the parking lot, which means you don't need to go to the apartment to get the remote before parking. (It also means people who aren't supposed to park there are doing so, so it could be tricky to get a spot, though I was able to find one and then just didn't leave again until check-out.) It's like a typical Airbnb where you're expected to remove bed sheets, take out trash, etc., but that was all very easy and well-explained. Overall the apartment was a good value.
-Somehow quite a few mosquitoes got in (late September), even though I never left doors open. It seems like there are lots of mosquitoes in the front hall. Even with the AC on, I got bitten a lot at night. After the first night, I went to buy a plug-in mosquito repellent and I think that helped a little but I still got bitten. This didn't happen in other places I stayed; I wonder if the building owners might be able to spray the halls, but I recognize this isn't the host's fault.
-Just FYI that the astroturf on the balcony can be quite wet (I think probably from the AC condensation) so wear shoes out there!
