Everything was perfect and met all my needs and expectations.The place was clean and tidy and warm.Lovely big common room with ample facilities to have something to eat and drink.The front reception staff were so polite and courteous and answered any questions I needed to know.The location was perfect and I would recommend this hostel to anyone who is thinking of staying in Madrid.Many Thanks David Gregg.

The hostel is located in the heart of downtown Madrid, allowing you to reach most of the city's attractions by metro, bicycle (I recommend using Bicimad), or on foot. The room is worth the money, especially if you book in advance. They also provide decent, if limited, personal amenities like towels and toiletries for free.
The hostel could improve guests' living conditions in a few ways: 1) provide basic kitchen appliances, like an electric kettle, so guests can make their own tea/coffee; 2) renovate or repair some of the shower and toilet cubicles; 3) assign taller guests to the upper bunk, since the lower bunk has very little headspace.

Central location - convenient. Relatively modern.
No kitchen for communal use. A very large hostel with a lot of fluctuation. Busy location (but the rooms are ok in terms of noise).
