About this cabin rental
Located in Shooting Creek, this lovely cabin for $130 per night is a great choice for your next break. This is a gem of a cabin!! One bedroom One bath with loft. Sleeps Four. Full bed downstairs and two twin beds upstairs. Heating and Air. LP gas log Fireplace. Wrap Around porches and deck. Nearly 175 feet of Tusquittee Creek frontage. Wifi/Dish Network available. Three T.V's (One in living room, one in bedroom, and one in loft). Fully furnished. Small cabin with washer and dryer. Nine miles to Town of Hayesville. Close to Chatuge Lake, Nantahala Lake, Hiking Trails, and Casino (Murphy, NC). No pets. Children welcome. Get ready to relax, listen, and view the creek in the porch swings on the front or back covered porches or catch the sun on the deck overlooking the creek. Watch for deer and turkeys especially in early mornings or late evenings.

My family and I stayed at this cabin for the Thanksgiving weekend and I have to say, I was impressed! The cabin was very clean and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The bed was extremely comfortable and allowed for a good night's sleep. The location was also convenient to visiting around the area.
Jim and Jeanne were easy to communicate with and so friendly! We didn't get to meet them in person but they gave us clear instructions to getting to the property and how to get in touch.
I will say that if you're looking for a private cabin, this is not the cabin as there are other cabins nearby but we rarely saw our neighbors. If you're looking for a quiet place to rest and a clean place, I definitely recommend this cabin!

This is our 2nd stay at the cabin. It is perfect for us. Close to beautiful golf course, hiking trails, and horseback riding. So comfortable and close to the stream/ creek.

We had a wonderful time staying in this clean, warm, well-equipped home. Everything in the home was as expected, and everyone was comfortable. There is plenty of parking, and it is easy to get in and out of the driveway. There is a little field in front of the house that was great for outdoor play. The one thing that surprised me was a lack of outdoor privacy I thought we would have based on pictures. It looked to me like the house was surrounded by a field and woods, but there are actually neighbors very close, immediately across the small creek, looking directly into the back/side yard and porch. It wasn't a huge problem, just wasn't what I was expecting, and I didn't feel as comfortable as I had hoped sitting by the creek and letting the kids play in the water. The home was perfect, and I would absolutely live there if I could. The proximity to neighbors was just unexpected. I am thankful to have had the opportunity to stay in this cozy home!

The cabin was immaculate with everything imaginable included. The grandsons visited and played in the creek while their parents relaxed by the campfire! Quiet, cozy cabin. We loved turning off the A/C and enjoying the fresh mountain air and the soothing sound of the creek. Very friendly neighbors across the creek as well. We will definitely stay again!

The only thing that would have made this trip better is if we could have stayed longer! The creek was so relaxing, and the cabin has everything a person needs except your clothes and your food!
The bed was the most comfortable bed that I have ever slept in while on vacation. I have arthritis and I had less aches and pains in the mornings last week than I have had in a long time. We even raised the mattress off the bed to find out who makes it because it made such a difference that I have to buy one. The bedding was also amazing, it was so cozy and inviting. Needless to say we slept like logs!!
We did a little fishing in the creek and caught a couple of tiny trout, but it was fun.
We also got in the creek to cool off during the heat of the day one day, it was very cool and refreshing.
We also had the opportunity to meet the property owner and he was such a nice man.
We loved this lil cabin and literally everything about it, book it, you won’t be disappointed!

The cabin and property were quiet and nicely situated, and were equipped with everything I needed. I enjoyed walking in the creek and sitting on the swinging chair overlooking the creek. This is a great place for a family and also for me as a single senior. My grandsons came to visit and spent one night with me, and the twin beds in the loft were perfect for them. We enjoyed fishing in the creek, building a campfire, and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows together.

We enjoyed our stay so much! It is very relaxing and comfortable. We loved the stream that flows all around the property, and the porch swings and rockers made it extra special and relaxing. Never turned on the TV while we were there at all. Plan on going back in June. The hosts were very nice and accommodating.

This place was so nice. Perfect for a couple by themselves or with a children. The canin was clean and well equipped. The creek was awesome. All of the surrounding area was beautiful too. If we're back in this area we would definitely stay at again.

My husband and I enjoyed the quiet, beautiful, relaxing cabin for a 4 night stay last weekend. The pictures don’t do it Justice and I was worried since the cost was so reasonable.
We will definitely be returning once the weather warms up.

Very private for a great get away for families are couples.
Landscape is a dreamy place with all the necessities ( beautiful ❤️ Creek that runs down beside the land, you have a open pitch to sit in the yard a wrap around porch to see all of the beauty of the mountains, lots of parking space, gated entrance, a old fashion tree swing, bring your fishing equipment

Inside is to die for it's a cabin in a house built with lots of beautiful designs, upstairs twin beds and stairs fill size, everything is there that you would. Owners are very pleasant and helpful, they truly care about their tenants well being.
We would recommend this beautiful cabin by the lake to everyone. It's a 10 on list.

Nice place, good communication with owner, close proximity to Hayesville. Neighbors were a little closer than expected, but the noisy Tusquittee masked that fact a little bit.
Plenty of cookware stocked, so creating a good meal will only require your ingredients. We typically have to run to DG for something we assume will be on hand. No the case this time, everything was there. Very nice stay.

The location on the river, near to the town but with the perfect quiet distance has gived us all that we were looking for, a warm place with all the commodities to enjoy a family Christmas holidays. The communication with Jim And Jeanne was fast and easy, the weather was pretty cold and they provided all the needed to have our check in ready for that weather, the house has all that you can need, no details are missing, even the Christmas decorations was beautiful and we have feel like in our home.

The cabin was nothing short of perfect. Everything was stocked that would be needed and the property was super clean. The stream was even more relaxing than we’d expected it would be. The Tigers’ were amazing hosts, from the check-in process and making sure everything was stocked and clean, to the wonderful recommendations for hiking spots in the area. We hope to be back to visit soon!

The property is absolutely gorgeous. The sound of the stream was so relaxing. We loved watching the birds and the squirrels. This cabin was far more than what we expected. The Christmas decorations was a pleasant addition. They supplied all the things that was needed just the food. The town wasn't far and has nice shops. Thank you so much for sharing your cabin to make this a wonderful surprise trip for my husband. I look forward to returning for another get a way.

This is our second time staying here and once again another beautiful stay. The setting is amazing and the creek view is absolutely beautiful. You don’t need anything when coming here. We don’t leave the cabin so we can enjoy nature and all of its beauty. We had several deers in the yard in the evening and one the morning that we left. We can’t wait to come back.

Property was beautiful, clean, spacious, and peaceful. This beautiful little home was perfect for me and my wife's getaway. It's close to some hole in the wall little towns and tourist stops. Definitely plan on coming back around the same time next year.

Well appointed cabin with everything you’d need including kitchen utensils, a propane grill, and a washer/dryer. The decor is perfect for a mountain cabin. The entire place was spotlessly clean and well prepared. The hosts have put a lot of effort into planting screen trees and making the yard secluded and beautiful. The pretty location and setting, the lovely cabin, and the large, loud creek easily made this one of the very best cabins we have ever rented. Leaving after our three night stay was really difficult.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to visit this cabin last week. The hosts, Jeanne and Jim, thought of EVERYTHING to make this a beautiful and comfortable home away from home.
The interior is cozy and beautifully decorated. We spent quite a bit of time on the porch eating meals and having our morning coffee so we could enjoy the view and the sound of Tusquitee Creek.
As people who love to watch for deer and birds, we were not disappointed. Upon our arrival to the cabin, there was a mama deer in the yard close to the cabin and her two babies were not far behind. There were multiple bird feeders that attracted a wide array of birds.
We plan to visit again, hopefully in the near future and HIGHLY recommend this cabin!!

Our two night stay was perfect at the cabin by the creek. We had everything we needed to prepare food and relax after a couple of hiking days.

The cabin is beautiful, and the perfect size for 3-4 people. The creek in the backyard is awesome, and the many places to sit (3 swinging benches!) were a treat. The hosts have gone above and beyond in stocking the cabin with everything you could need, from toiletries, pans, to a TON of dvds tucked away upstairs! Jeanne and Jim were very responsive and dealt with the few issues we came across rapidly and efficiently. The only downside we faced was the location; it was a good distance from nearly everything we planned on doing (Highlands, Bryson City, etc.), which added more time driving than previous stays in the area. However, the drive to the cabin is beautiful, and we saw all kinds of wildlife even just on the nearby roads. Would highly recommend this cabin, especially if you plan on staying at the cabin more or plan to stay more local than we did (there is a fun tubing place nearby -- West Tubing Company). Overall, awesome cabin with great hosts!

We just returned from our trip to this cabin. What a great little cabin with all the comforts of home. It's surrounded by a beautiful little creek so you enjoy that relaxing sound all the time. Also very clean and easy to get to. Would love to return during another season. Thanks for sharing your special place.

This cabin is absolutely amazing! Lots of extras that we weren’t expecting. The property is beautiful and we even had deer visit us while we were grilling on the back deck by the creek. My favorite was the porch swings and that wrap around deck. You won’t be sorry if you rent this place.

Just Perfect
This place could not be more tranquil and peaceful. The creek flowing by is like a natural sound machine that just makes everything magical. Home was super clean, owners were great, and it has all the little details to make your stay perfect. Including fire prongs to roast hot dogs and marshmallows. The only thing I would advised you buy is some fire starters as getting the larger logs that are provided to light can be somewhat of a challenge. All and all a great stay, and hope to do it again some day!

This is our second stay. We loved it in February but it has a whole different feel to it this time. It's gorgeous!!
Long, lazy peaceful days if you choose. Grab a book and get yourself comfy on the swing by the creek. Let it lull you to sleep. Or build a campfire and share a glass of wine with the love of your life. Oh, it's just beginning. The light show will begin at dusk. Twinkling lights from the Lightening Bugs will mesmerize you as they twinkle all around. It was beautiful!! I can't imagine going on vacation anywhere else but here. You forget all of life's stresses as soon as you put the key in and turn the knob.
