We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this well equipped and cozy space, with it’s lovely outdoor patio! We cooked often, entertained friends and relaxed inside and especially on the sunny patio space of the cottage. The nearby walking trail was great and we took advantage all of what Santa Barbara has to offer easily from this location. Will definitely recommend the Creekside Cottage to other friends visiting the city.

Beautiful and clean, close to everything. Comfortable and well stocked. Loved the patio with the fire pit. Moved my daughter in for her 2nd year at UCSB. Close to the university and State Street. Perfect location!

This is a lovely, well-kept property in a quiet neighborhood. We loved the coffee shop next door. The beds were comfy and the bathroom felt luxurious. The outdoor space was a nice retreat. The only difficulty we had, and this is not the fault of the owner, is that the place had no AC, and the area was experiencing a severe heat wave. So I am giving it a great recommendation, but be aware that there is no AC if the temps are going to be high!

The facility was clean and quaint, however be sure to read the fine print as this property does not have AC and no box fans to help move air. The only fans are the ceiling fans which help but do not quite cut it when the windows have been shut during the days peak sun. The property is on the west edge of Santa Barbara and requires 10 minute drive to downtown. Having not been to SB before it wasn’t a big deal but next time we would want something closer. The property owner has many rules, which is understandable, but created anxiety as a guest should the already expensive stay become more costly should something not meet the standards at check out. Not sure if the unit has its own small water heater or if tied to the main house, but when taking a shower be careful of the water temp it can go from scalding hot to ice cold without even moving the handle. The patio area is cute, but most of the furniture is covered in bird droppings making it either unusable or something you have to clean before use, maybe a furniture cover would be good in this case as there are many bushes and overhead trees. Again, a charming residence but with all the requirements/rules, We would rather stay at a hotel on our next trip.

Great Stay in Santa Barbara
Comfortable stay; quiet place.

Extremely slow internet service at times, which made streaming movies frustrating (no standard cable TV service). Tap water tasted bad; water filtration system wasn't working. Guest is expected to take out trash, wash dishes & start a load of towels after being charged high cleaning fee.

I really enjoyed my stay and thinking of returning in the future. Very private, quiet and relaxing feel. Be sure to look through the binder at the little welcome area. Found it handy. Everything was well appointed. Especially with the current Pandemic the place appeared clean and inviting (I still sprayed disinfectant though). The Passion Fruit growing around was a nice surpise too!

Nice accommodation
Very positive. The only negative things were the shower pressure was weak and the hot water would become cold in a short time. We turned it off and waited a bit and turned it back on and the water stayed warm for a short time Also, the bathroom sink stopper would go down but to open it required moving the lever under the sink.

This is not a "rental by owner", but a rental by property manager, a fact not disclosed by VRBO or the lister prior to the transfer of payment. AFTER payment was made, property manager demanded signature of a nineteen page "contract", threatening that all monies paid would be forfeit if not signed within 72 hours. Contract contained MANY objectionable clauses. Shame on Paradise Retreats (prop mgr), VRBO and the owner for doing business in such a questionable way. Otherwise, the property was accurately depicted, well appointed and stocked, and clearly desireable.

After a stressful year, I needed a quiet place to stay for a couple of weeks - this cottage was the perfect fit. It was outfitted with most of the basics, oh so comfy bed, dishes, good size refrigerator, stove, etc. The washer/dryer that was a concern for some in previous reviews must have been replace, because the cottage had a nice new stackable Miele. The TV's were old technology, however, and I was glad that I had my laptop loaded with my favorite apps. Although the cottage is located north of Santa Barbara, all of the beaches, downtown and south towns (Montecito, Summerland, Carpenteria) were an easy, short drive. The decorating is a little bit "tired," and could use a refresh including the cushions on the outdoor furniture. There were a couple of power/HVAC issues, and I gave the property managers five out of five stars for their quick response, concern and follow-up. Overall, the cottage met my needs, and I especially appreciate that a month's rental was not required!

Just what we needed!
Beautiful space, very comfortable, spotlessly clean with wonderful access to a private garden.

Not as anticipated for the per night cost. Avg. cost a as $209night
This should not be advertised as property to sleep 4. Everything is on the small side.
European washer/dryer did not work. Ended up at a laundromat for 2 hours If adequate laundry services within unit cannot be provided, towels should be replaced by day 4. At the rate charged per night an equivalent hotel suite would replace them both AM and PM. The list goes on, which I will provide to the Maqnagement Company.

Cute, cozy & comfortable
This house was welcoming in all aspects. We loved the outdoor patio area and felt it was very private. Lots of windows was a plus and it had everything we wanted for comfort. The bikes provided were great and we rode them often in an easy trail to the beach. It is close to everything including our son & daughter-in-law’s house.

Nice and cozy
Nicely appointed and a good location., loved the patio! We liked the coffee shop down the street. The little washer/dryer combo in the bedroom did not do a good job of cleaning or drying. I would suggest that the owner look into a different type of washer and dryer.

Cute place, fantastic service
We knew that hat the place looked like from the pictures, and we were happy to find a place that’s every bit the cute cottage we expected. The service blew us away. The communication was easy, we found a complimentary bottle of wine upon check in, some local guides, and everything immaculately clean. Quiet neighborhood was a plus too.
