It was close to the station and close to the centre of Florence.
It was just different to what we are used to in Australia.

Excellent location—literally within walking distance to all the main tourist sites in Florence. The staff was very attentive, welcoming, and always ready to help resolve any issues
On the first night, we were assigned a room with a terrible odor, which made for a uncomfortable night. It’s an old building without an elevator, which is typical for Florence. However, the staff moved us to another room the following day, and the rest of our stay was great.
