You had everything we could possibly want in the cabin lol except for a can opener there was no queen bed like they said in the ad only two full beds but the location the cabin was very good All in all it’s pretty much what we want it was a good place to stay at

For us it was perfect, cozy and quiet! We really only had to bring our food supplies! Lots of places to hike in the area, if you like doing that. The lake is so beautiful too. You can kayak, canoe or just relax with a nice swim! We had a great time! If hiking or relaxing is in your agenda for a getaway, this is the place!

If you like rustic, which i do, this property is a nice find. It is part of a group of 3 cabins, all of which are vacation rentals. You share waterfront facilities, including the boats. the boats are cheap and not very good; the paddles were adequate although there was only one adult kayak paddle for two kayaks. My advise: Bring your own paddles at least (
which we did). If you need heat, you have a wood burning stove and a couple of space heaters. I loved the stove and used it every day (early Setpember). There was a new camp being constructed right next door and an earth mover coming down the steep dirt road made quite a rackett coming and going. But the lakefront is beautiful and you're right down the hill from a very nice golf course. The cabin is dark, but well equipped and the wrap around porch was great. You have to bring your own water or visit a spring to obtain potable water, something we did not know until we got there.

Picture was very deceiving. I assumed I was right on the lake with no other cabins around. Also thought the canoes would still be there.

Nice location but cleaning standards were not high. We were greeted with a handwritten note on a piece of cardboard that said "welcome" " You have no hand towels or washcloths. I will bring them tomorrow." signed, housekeeper.
Clean up needs some help. There was a box at the front door which looked like a wood box but it was filled with trash and old newspapers.
We were disappointed to find cobwebs in our bedroom.
We paid $75 for cleaning service. Not too happy about that.

Its a wonderful area in Rangeley for outdoor enthusiasts. The kayaks and canoe, paddle boats, life preservers are all in good , clean condition and we enjoyed using the kayaks and swimming when it was warm enough.
If its going to be cool, bring warm clothes and ask how to use the wood stove. We were ok with the space heaters as it did cool down but if weather is cold would need the wood stove going.
IIt felt like going back in time staying in a log cabin!

Peaceful, quiet, loved hearing the loon calls often, neighbors not too close so our time felt very private. We cooked most of our meals there, but close to town for eating out. It was great!

Where do I start?! Everything was perfect. Just what my wife and I needed. The way the cabin was left for us was perfect! Cut up firewood ready to burn, propane tank for the grill, towels and linens on every bed. All of it was just perfect. Hopefully we will be making this a yearly trip! So worth it. We can't wait to come back! Thank you so much David!

Great time in Rangeley and the cabin was perfect

This is a beautiful cabin right on the north shore of Lake Rangeley. The property location cannot be beaten and the cabin itself is spacious and though rustic, very comfortable. The beds and couches made for a fantastic night's sleep and the kitchen is well-stocked for cooking. The wrap-around porch has great chairs and a view of the water. We didn't have a chance to use the outdoor fire pit, but the indoor wood fire oven kept the whole cabin warm during one of the colder nights. David provided great local information about sights and restaurants and has apparently owned and/or managed these cabins for many years. His attention to the cabins and the properties is very evident. This is one of the best and most unique vacation properties we've ever stayed at!

I was so looking forward to returning to Maine and spending time at Rangeley Lake. This trip had turned into our honeymoon and with 2020 being very challenging, for many reasons, rest and relaxation was a top priority. The property was very clean and nestled in the trees not too far from the lake where from the dock you had an excellent view of Saddleback mountain. The woodshed was full of split wood and we were thankful for the wood-burning stove as it was a bit chilly in the evening. The ceiling fan helped to circulate the warm air and we were very comfortable. David was very responsive when we had questions and I couldn't recommend this cabin more highly. Thank you for allowing us the pleasure, David!

Overall great experience. The view from the beach access and dock is breath taking. The cabin itself was as described but the cleanliness had room for improvement. I have higher expectations given the current state of the world as we all should. Fully stocked with everything you could need for cooking and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. A definite uptah camp feel ("up to" for you non-Mainers). Very dog friendly however the deck is not good on the paws. The spacing is at least an inch between boards, to save money I presume. This creates a gap big enough for paws to go through. I even caught my foot on them several times.
