Located in Mammoth Lakes, this lovely condo for £572 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Stay near the village (50 steps to the Gondola and the Village) at half the cost with twice the space......minus the noise! Remodeled 3 bedrooms plus enclosed extra TV room, 4 bathrooms, 3 flat screen TV's, granite kitchen, washer/dryer, 2 decks one of the living with BBQ and one of the master bedroom, 2 ski-lockers assigned to our unit on the entry level of our building, etc... and underground parking. P.S. I WILL NEVER ASK YOU TO WIRE MONEY, I ONLY USE VRBO'S RESERVATION MANAGER WHERE YOU CAN PAY SECURELY WITH A CREDIT CARD. we booked this for a group of runners and it was very convenient for all of the weekend activities happening in the village plaza, restaurants for dinning, and town trolley to access the lakes basin and grocery stores. everyone had a great time

Great location it is walking distance to the Brewery and the Village. Place is spacious plenty of space for our family. The stairs are vary narrow (3 level staircase). Perhaps purchasing some non-stick pans for cooking would be helpful. We were not able to park in the unloading area we had to park in the street and on the sidewalk. The two trucks remains parked there during our stay and after checking out. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Great place for a large group to stay at! Right in the heart of the village, with the village gondola steps away! Very clean and the host was very communicative and helped us along the way.

This property was perfect for our ski team. We were here for a competition, and the location of this property was perfectly located for access to the mountain, and transportation to everything in Mammoth. The place was well taken care of, and the host was very responsive. We received about 10 feet of snow during the week, and I was always amazed that the walkways were always cleared. Big props to the snow removal teams here.

I'm going to provide my objective assessment of this condo. Two families (4 adults + 5 kids) stayed for 3 nights with a relatively high total cost per night. I think cost is very important when considering reviews but VRBO does not allow us to discuss price in reviews.
GREAT:
1. Location. It's right in the village, no need to drive. Easy walking everywhere.
2. Parking. There are two easy underground parking spots. During the blizzard, our car stayed nice and snow free.
3. Bathrooms were nicely remodeled. Both functional and clean. Happy about this.
OK.
1. The interior of the condo is in general Ok. Not great, not terrible.
2. To access the garage or the pool you need to go outside. This is in general not an issue but during a blizzard it is rather inconvenient. You can't unload groceries from the garage easily. Need to park in the loading area, unload, then return to park in garage, then walk back.
Mediocre or worse.
1. The spiral stairway is dangerous for basically anyone, any time. The kids were ironically most comfortable versus the larger grown ups who had a hard time navigating the stairs. If you're overweight or have any difficulty with balance, forget this place.
2. The building itself has not seen an update since who knows when. It was very dimly lit, dingy, and old.
3. Furniture in the unit. I understand that rental units get beat up a lot from wear and tear. We've stayed at a lot of places and some have comfortable furniture while others don't. The couch in this unit was unusable for us. The back is basically at a 90-degree angle to the seat and was just painful to use. Every adult left with some sort of ache or pain after a couple of days here either from the uncomfortable seating or uncomfortable beds.
Conclusion:
Would I stay here again? No. Not at this price point. We've stayed at many other locations in Mammoth for a lot less but we had to drive to the mountain or village to access the gonodola. And when it blizarded, we had to dig out our cars.

The location of the property can’t be beat. Very roomy and loved the amount of bedrooms and bathrooms. Great amount of space for five of us. My only issues were the stairs (very narrow 3 level staircase —would not be good for young kids or elderly) and the heating options were not optimal. Room heaters, not central heat, and didn’t work as well. But overall enjoyed the condo and would recommend.

We stayed at this property over MLK weekend. This property is in a great location next to the village. The property is spread out over three levels. Two bedrooms on the first level, living room on the second and bunk room and tv room on the third. This property is great for a multi family trip.

Perfect location for 3 generational family. Stayed in this building before in another unit (much more updated and better cared for).
GOOD:
* Carine and manager are responsive
* Location in the village with underground parking for 2 cars is a dream
* Bathrooms on each of the three floors are convenient
* Kitchen is well stocked and appliance are quality ones
TO IMPROVE:
* Mattresses are over-used and some have major “sinkholes” in them, making sleeping uncomfortable, they need to be changed
* Carpets in the upstairs bedroom made my adult son and husband’s allergies get out of control. I ended up sleeping with my husband in the living room, my son on a foldout couch (that was very uncomfortable)
* There were no hair driers, an issue in the winter when we can’t go out with our hair wet
Overall a great place that needs some TLC.

The location couldn't be better and everyone was comfortable. Right next door to the brewery and a two-minute walk from the village. Access to the pool and jacuzzi was easy. Would stay here again!

I can’t say enough great things about this cabin, it’s close to the village and very centrally located to all things mammoth. The indoor pool/ game room is a hit. The cabin itself is very spacious and great for a big group. We’ve stayed here the last 5 summers and can’t wait for next year.

Great parking, location and easy access to the village. The condo was very clean and the whole family really enjoyed the unit. Lots of cooking utensils, pots/pans really made everything easy for us. Would highly recommend. Host was very communicative and responsive.

Great condo. Perfect location.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Fireside. The condo was very clean and well furnished. The kitchen had everything we needed. The location is great! It's right next to the Village, Gondola and Mammoth shuttles. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs with queen beds. Each one has a full bath and a walk-in closet. One bedroom has a fireplace and a small walk out deck. The family room has 2 full sofas and plenty of room for 15 people. The dining table is large enough for at least 10 people.
Carine was a great host. Very quick to respond and gave us lots of good information about the condo and Mammoth.
We would definitely stay here again!

Best location for Canyon Lodge skiing
We love the proximity of this property to the gondola to Canyon lifts, Mammoth Village, and “downtown” Mammoth. The amount of bedrooms and bathrooms is perfect for two families with kids. Check-in was easy and Carine was an excellent host.

This location was spectacular! SO close to the Canyon Lodge gondola and within walking distance from so many cool things that allowed people without cars or who were not skiing to be entertained throughout the day. Would definitely stay there again! Management was also very helpful when we needed an extra parking spot!

Not what we expected from pictures.
Property is older and tired and much smaller than pictures imply. The circular stairs between floors (2) are a joke. Circular stairs are made for small children (steep and dangerous). Don’t know how they met any kind of building code. Over all I was expecting a much nicer place for the cost. . I was disappointed and would not recommend this property at the price

OVERALL IMPRESSION
Great 3 level condo in excellent village location near village gondola and Mammoth Brewing Company. The unit and amenities are older so understand the wear and tear, especially in the common areas. The common recreation area is in adjacent building with hot tub, pool, sauna, and game room (ping pong, pool, foosball, coin-operated laundry). Tight spiral staircases connect levels so this unit may not be appropriate for disabled, elderly, infirm, or small children!
DESCRIPTION
3 Level condo with two entries on lower level (level 2) and kitchen/living room (level 3). Master bedroom with bath and guest bedroom and common bath on lower level. Small stacked washer/dryer are off master bathroom. Living level very roomy with nice kitchen and multiple couches. Outdoor deck has gas grill. Upper level has small living area with couches and bunk room. Again, tight spiral staircases connect levels so this unit may not be appropriate for disabled, elderly, infirm, or small children!
LOCATION
Walk-to-ski at Village Gondola which is short run over town to Canyon Lodge. We never had long lines on either end. Ski lockers are available on 1st level of building, but few were empty, and you need small padlock.
AMENITIES
Kitchen. Auto drip coffee pot. Appliances are dated but all worked. Dishwasher.
Garage parking allows 2 vehicles and is this is adjacent to building. Good internet, TV/able, and gas fireplace (living level and master)
CLEANLINESS
Unit very clean. Common areas are fair.
COMMUNICATION
Excellent communication with both owner and manager.
