Ski-In\/Ski-Out Pet-Friendly Condo w\/ Spa, Sauna, Gym, Pool - #317
About this condo rental
"Warm", "light," and "catches the afternoon sun" - how some of our guests describe The Bear Cave. New mink blankets on the couches and the heat from the afternoon sun will keep you warm, but the new pellet stove and drapery are also sources for additional warmth. When not admiring the views of Mammoth Mountain from the windows, we offer books, board games, and cable TV. We have a new 55" flat-screen LED TV wall-mounted above the fireplace. There are also 32" TVs (with cable) in both bedrooms as well. These TVs can be enjoyed while snuggling in bed under new linens. You are bound to get a perfect night's sleep with our new pillows to rest your weary head upon. If you're craving a home-cooked meal, the kitchen will not disappoint. It is fully equipped with everything you may need for cooking or baking. A toaster, blender and coffee maker provides the energy needed to survive a day of bushwhacking, hiking, fishing, or mountain biking. A Panini press is available if a hot lunch is desired. Beaters and muffin trays are begging to be used for holiday baking (don't forget, you're baking at altitude!). There's even a slow cooker so you can "set it and forget it," and come home after a long day to a ready-made meal in an aromatic condo. The master suite has a queen bed and a private bathroom with both a shower and bathtub. The second bathroom is upstairs. This bathroom has an accessible double-vanity outside of its own private shower area. For the unfortunate ones that have to bring their work, we offer free internet access for you to do so. At least you can enjoy the mountain views and scent of pine trees while working in this peaceful and quiet newly renovated condo. The Eagle Lodge ski lift is just up the road and within easy walking distance - a stone's throw away. This is a beginner lift, a lift for those looking to stay away from the crowds, and a lift that allows for a starting point to explore all of Mammoth Mountain. Rentals, ticket sales, ski school, and dining are also available at Eagle Lodge, so there's no need to drive into town. We are confident you will enjoy your stay in this spacious and popular Mammoth Lakes condo, with its high reviews, and you will most definitely come back again. Don't forget to see some favorite sights like Devils Postile and Rainbow Falls. For a one of a kind experience visit Bodie, a ghost town frozen in time and preserved in a state of arrested decay. Yosemite National Park is just "down the road" and home to many famous and majestic attractions. All are a must-see for any California trip! (However a word about ski-in/out. The unwritten implication here is when there is sufficient snow. In lean seasons, you may have to hoof it a bit. Please check local conditions before booking.) *Notice: garage clearance 7' NOTICE: For Holiday Reservations check-in is 5 PM. We will call you if your property is ready before 5 PM. We stayed at this property before and enjoyed it’s location, size, convenience to skiing. However, this year we had to cancel due to an unforeseen and uninsured situation and the manager Nomadness refused to refund any of the fees. This includes cleaning and pet fee even though we weren’t there! Very disappointed with their management company and absurd approach to cancellations. I knew the rental fee and booking fees weren’t refundable but the cleaning, pet, and taxes should have been refunded. Think twice before booking or understand ALL of the money is gone if you can’t go.

We loved our recent stay in Mammoth! The property management company was also great, checking in with us throughout the stay. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Some of the beds have been repaired poorly and created issues for sleeping. Cleaning was lacking hair in the shower, pans had food left on them, items left under the beds including something from a small dog….nasty. Other than that it was ok for our stay.

I understand not every place on the mountain has ac, however, it was in the high 80’s-90’s and there was no ac in the condo. No swamp cooler. Just regular fans. It was miserably hot and unbearable to sleep. Had I known that before hand I would not have booked. Would be fine to stay in for the winter since there is a heater. Pool was unusable (under construction for repairs) again, something I would have liked to know since my kids thought they would get to swim. Also, the door into the condo does not lock from the inside. It only locks from the outside, something that made me uncomfortable as there was no way to ensure the door was actually locked. Additionally, the shower in the upstairs bathroom has essentially no water pressure, just a trickle. This made it very difficult for everyone to shower each day as we had to all share the one working shower.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this condo. The view from the living room to Eagle Lodge was fantastic! The walk to the ski lift just can not be beat! Ski in the morning, come back for lunch (if you want) and ski again afterwards. NoMadness Rentals provides everything you could possibly need for your stay. There were many trash bags, dish soap, paper towels, toiletry kits and hair dryer in both bathrooms and TP. All of this makes it an incredibly comfortable stay. The beds are quite comfortable. The dining room (large table) and living room provides enough space for 8 people (visitors can come for dinner). The pellet stove is such an added benefit and all the pellets needed are even provided for you. The kitchen is fully stocked and organized with extras, providing the necessities to make any meal you desire. The condo is clean and well cared for. You can tell that they put great effort towards meeting the needs of renters. We’ve already booked our next visit! Rent with confidence because they care about your personal experience. As a renter, your part in the experience is to print out the documents that NoMadness Rentals sends you, so you’re fully prepared. Print your parking pass before you leave your house, look up the address of the building you’re driving to (Summit Condominiums). Know the building your going to is called Foerster (the buildings are in alphabetical order). Know your parking space number (#38) and know the front door code to get into the condo. This isn’t the responsibility of the rental company. If you do this, then you’re going to have a flawless wonderful experience, just like we did! NoMadness provides exceptional customer support if you need anything. They’re very responsive and provide wonderful & kind customer support for this condo and it’s renters. Highly recommend! Thank you for sharing your home with us. We look forward to our return trip!

Long story short I rate my stay 1.Nomadnes property management that handles this rental is located in Texas and has one very rude unprofessional unwilling to help representative. Mammoth lakes snowing in a storm the check in to my condo never worked. I had requested to check in 2 hours earlier they never called me back or informed me that I couldn’t. We ended up checking in 2 hours after check the check in which was 4 pm. The representative that I was on the phone with never helped me with anything while stuck behind a damn door to get into my unit. This condo management team on the phone very rude and unprofessional. DO NOT USE NOMADNESSRENTALS. I am going to take this further and make an official complaint regarding my stay.

Great location and very pet friendly
Plenty of space of our family of 6 and small dog. The area is very pet friendly, supplying dog waste bags and waste bins outside. The parking garage has a max height of 7 ft so if you have a car top carrier on a larger vehicle, you may not fit. The pools and jacuzzis were great, overall condo location is quiet and conveniently located. We found a coin op laundry room in our building.
Some drawbacks: the upstairs shower does not get very warm so everyone ended up using the downstairs bath/shower. Basic amenities we’ve had in past VRBO’s like napkins, trash bags, a sponge, kid friendly dishes were missing. The unit gets pretty warm at night so we slept with some windows open.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Mammoth.

This was a lovely condo for my family and pets. The kitchen had plenty of supplies, which was helpful because we prepared all of our meals and did not eat out. The location was amazing, just a short walk to Eagle Lodge!

Excellent location. The slopes were amazing! Fire place only took pellets & it was broken. Mgt said they wld not fix until after our stay. The shower was only a trickle of water. Spacious, comfortable place. Plenty of towels, pillows & blankets.

The property was in a nice location and pet friendly. It was quiet. It is summer and there is no Ac. The downstairs stayed fairly cool but the upstairs bedroom was warm. Bring fan. The kitchen could of been cleaner and the sheets in the bedroom were stained. Other than that it was a lovely place . Hopefully they will have these issues resolved and check the cabinets for dirty dishes. My family had a great time in Mammoth

The space was adequate. Stove had a visibly loose electric burner. Bathroom fan was live, but not rotating. All gunked up.
Fan motor would just buzz, trying to move the fan props. I imagine the motor would either die or catch fire at some point.
The shower had a temporary "adjustable" pole unit for soap and shampoos. This pole unit fell down during shower and took a chip out of my leg. A mouse greeted me in the living room our first night. We were compensated one night for our four night stay. Nice gesture, but this place was below standards for the price.

We had a great stay at this property. It was just as shown in the photos and had everything we needed for a quiet weekend away. The only negative was that the water ran brown from each faucet in the house for about the first 30 seconds. Guessing this may have been because no one had stayed there in a while.
Home was clean, cozy and spacious.

So close to Eagle, very convenient!
Had a travel coffin on the SUV which wouldn’t fit in the garage. Parking very limited in front of the office.

Location!
Great location. Images in photos were not up to date as there was an excess of furniture (two extremely large bean bags) in the living room which took up a lot of floor space.
Renovations were being done in the unit across the hallway where they began drilling before 7 am on a Friday. The noise was extremely loud and reverberated through the unit. Particularly, it shook the upstairs wall where the bunk beds were. Under normal circumstances this would have been good incentive to get out of bed early. However, the individuals sleeping upstairs had just driven from San Diego the night before and arrived at 2 am. Least to say, it was quite the rude awakening.
We contacted management who responded to us within 24 hours, however the drilling continued all day. I don't think it was brought to the unit owner's attention until later that day. Hopefully, all neighboring units can be notified of any renovations future forward so as to warn individuals who stay. Especially, if prices are markedly higher when booking during a three-day weekend.
Overall, it was great. I just wish that we could have enjoyed our first day without the incredibly noisy renovations.

Great Location for Skiing
The unit was exactly as described. Great location and ideal for two dads and four kids. The bunk beds in the loft were perfect for the kids and each dad had a bedroom. The bedrooms are big enough for couples - queen bed in both bedrooms. We arrived at 3:00 on check in day and we could not access the unit because it is on a timer to allow access at 4:00 It would be nice if the owners allowed access once the room was cleaned and ready for occupancy. We did call and they had the door opened within 15 minutes - very good response time.

Mammoth
Great condo! Comfortable, clean, great location. Our key code didn’t open door on arrival. Called Nomadness Rentals, issued working code. We thought our visit would be an escape from reconstruction going on at home. Disappointed when we arrived that construction going on inside and out. No notice was given before we arrived about floor to ceiling mess outside our door. We love Mammoth and enjoy our time here nthis rental meets all our needs.

Such a nice getaway place with lots of space for sharing with friends and family. Clean and very quiet, with an amazing view.

Great place near Eagle Lodge
Very comfortable place within 50 yards of Eagle Lodge. Gorgeous views from the living room, and very close to the jacuzziS. Sauna was not working while we were there but the two jacuzzis were open & perfect options at the end of a long day on the mountain. Bedrooms were spacious and had ample room for up to 8 people.

The Bear den
We loved it! The unit was clean, spacious and light and had a view of the slopes! (It was cleaner than many places we have stayed that didn’t allow dogs!) We walked to Eagle Lodge and enjoyed the two large hot tubs right behind the building. All the extras made it super homey - a well-stocked kitchen with spices, coffee maker, blender, crockpot; fun movies and games, giant bean bag chairs, comfortable beds and lots of extra towels and blankets.
The dogs loved it too! Thank you for a great getaway!!

Great Stay!
We had a relatively big group of people and this place fit us all perfectly. The rooms are spread enough apart to have privacy but it also has that very cozy living room that we all hung out in. The house was clean and well kept. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here! Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Mammoth.

Clean, quiet, all the comforts of home
We really had a great time at this place. We had plenty of space for 7 people. It was clean and quiet. A nice affordable, basic place, to eat sleep and relax in. Super close to everything we needed, like food and etc. Minutes away from all the adventures Mammoth has. Ours had a fully stocked kitchen (pots pans plates utensils etc) which was nice. Netflix, cable and apps available of the tv. Big windows with a beautiful view of the mountains in the distance. Located in a corner and right next to the outside stairs for easy access and more privacy. We will definitely rent on this property again. The only draw back was the stairs. We brought my mom who is disabled and she had a challenge getting up and down them. Keep that in consideration when renting. Upstairs toilet was a little slow, but I’m sure it will be fixed.
