Go Jump in the Lake!
About this cottage rental
Situated in Connecticut, this lovely cottage for £124 per night is a great option for your next break. NEWLY RENOVATED FOR THE 2023 SEASON! Our lake house is situated on 1.5 acres just 250 steps to the Cove Road boat launch on beautiful Amston Lake. The lake is a pristine 188-acre retreat located in Lebanon and Hebron, CT. Swimming, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, and sunbathing are all activities you can enjoy. There are no motor boats allowed, so you can enjoy all of those activities in a peaceful environment. Two beaches are located 1/2 or 1 mile away from the cottage with ample parking at both should you choose to drive. The house is 850 square feet of pure cottage enjoyment. There are two bedrooms with a queen-sized bed in one on the first floor, and a full and twin in the other upstairs. A sixth person could sleep on the sofa. There is one bathroom with a shower and a washer and dryer. There is a full kitchen and a gas grill for cooking. There is one HD Smart television with wifi. Our cottage is a nice mix of high end and rustic finishes, and it is clean and comfortable. It's a cottage, and it feels like a cottage with a bit of style, especially when you are sitting on the porch swing, enjoying a cold beverage, and reflecting on the day. Or sitting around the fire pit with friends and family, while sharing stories and roasting marshmallows. It feels like you are in the middle of the woods. We have a canoe and two kayaks for you to use, a few beach chairs, and some lawn games. Lebanon is a beautiful, rural community with several operating farms. Amston Lake is on the edge of the Airline Trail where you can enjoy hiking and biking for miles. The Connecticut casinos are about 30 minutes away. Outlet shopping is located at Foxwoods Casino or in Clinton and Westbrook. The CT and RI shore are 40-60 minutes away. New York and Boston are about 90 minutes away. We are close to so much, and yet you will feel like you are far away from it all. We hope you enjoy your stay!

Property was cute, very clean, and well appointed with thoughtful touches like extra pillows, plenty of towels and everything we needed to prepare meals in the kitchen. Todd was extremely responsive to my questions and even offered to come by if we needed anything else. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return when we’re visiting the area.

The cabin was even nicer than the pictures indicated. Everything's was nice and clean, cabin was easy to find. Weather didn't cooperate for me to get out on the lake but my husband had a wonderful time fishing for Striped Bass on the sound. I enjoyed the screened in porch. Would enjoy being able to stay longer

Another great experience at Go jump in the Lake. My family and I enjoyed two beaches, volleyball on the beach. The cottage yard is great for playing outside games. Hoping to rent again!!!

It was our first trip to Connecticut. It was my 4 kids and I. It was in a nice quiet neighborhood with woods surrounding us. Very nice little house. We loved eating on the enclosed porch. The lake was amazing, crystal clear water, so peaceful, the beach is clean and not crowded at all. It’s a very nice little town and we would love to come back.

Great place to stay in a very pleasant community along the shore of beautiful Amston Lake. It's a five-minute walk to a boat launch with access to a canoe and kayaks, and a short drive to two beaches. We also enjoyed visiting Hebron and Colchester. Todd was very helpful and responsive.

My niece (57) and I (77) had a wonderful time despite Monday being the only sunny day we could spend at the lake. But, it could have rained every single day as it didn’t matter to us. My niece has a home on a dead end street which leads to the ocean and my condo has a pool. It wasn’t like we were escaping from slums. Despite the presence of a man’s dirty underwear under my bed and a constant infestation of both sugar and large black ants, we experienced exactly what we had hope ~ peace, quiet and serenity. Everything changed Thursday morning when my niece noticed the house key was in the outside doorknob. During the night, we both heard a loud noise. She came racing down the stairs shouting if I was okay (I’m severely visually impaired). Her voice and its intensity must have scared the person away. Thursday night, we actually taped the front door and jammed a chair under the doorknob. We knew someone had again tried to enter (but failed) because we had scrambled the code numbers and they’d been changed. I own up to our naïveté in leaving key in the lockbox with a scrambled number. Thursday, realizing our error, we kept the key in the house. But upon checking the code Friday morning, we knew that someone had again tried the correct code but there was no key. We were frightened, did our due diligence re. Linens washed, trash out, etc and we left. I spoke with owner but he seemed uninterested in our safety. Go but have pepper spray and a taser for your personal protection.

The house was immaculate. I was extremely impressed by this and the fact that everything you needed was available. I have stayed in quite a few rentals and this was one of the best. I am hoping to stay again. I recommend this property . Todd was also great to answer all my questions before my stay.

Used as lodging for visiting family rather than as a “vacation.” Did not do much cooking, entertaining, etc. House and yard were well kept as shown on web site. The location is quiet, and seems a bit isolated. Will likely use again.

We stayed here for 3 nights so we could hike in the area. Easy, short drives to Baileys Ravine, Salmon Creek trails/Comstock covered bridge, Clyde's cider mill, Denison nature center etc. The cottage perks were the fireplace, porch and kitchen. Narrow spiral staircase to loft with extra beds if needed. Very short walk to Amsted Lake as advertised. Thanks Todd!

This was a beautiful, peaceful place to stay for a mom who needed a little break! I plan to come back with the family next time!

Place is perfect. I mistakenly thought the house was right on the lake looking at the photos. But, it was a simple drive to the beach. I’m recovering from surgery and my niece works 60+ hours a week. This little place was idyllic for unwinding. The sun porch is delightful. Cannot wait to book next year. Thank you.

Great place to unwind rain or shine. The cottage has contemporary finished and is very inviting. Access to the lake is an easy walk and is very peaceful. I'll definitely return.

My family spent a long weekend at the house, and the house is even more adorable than the pictures show. Everything was clean and we had easy access to the lake. My children loved being able to use the kayaks and swim in the lake! The home was well stocked with life peservers for all ages, chairs, toys, and we were able to finish our stay with s'mores by the camp fire! This is a great place for a family to stay or a quiet get away!

This was a cozy cottage that was clean and stocked with things you’d need if you are going to cook for family and friends. They also had board games and books for a rainy day to stay in. The beaches weren’t a far walk from the cottage and the kayaks were easy to navigate to. Overall, a very fun experience and definitely recommend it for a nice weekend getaway.
