On the beach, at the foot of majestic Neahkahnie mountain rests your family's dream get away. Our completely remodeled, beautiful 6 bedroom 4.5 bath home sleeps up to 17 comfortably. You can enjoy unobstructed views of the ocean and Neahkahnie mountain throughout the home. A spectacular 7 mile beach is accessible out the back door. Collect sand dollars and drift wood, bird watch and enjoy the surf as you take a leisurely stroll down the beach to the nearby village of Manzanita. When you enter our home you will be inspired by the vaulted ceilings, the fireplace and the spectacular view. The expansive kitchen has a large dining table perfect for sunset dinners for the whole family. Kids will love the bunkroom! The home is equipped with televisions, DVD players, wireless internet, comfortable mattresses and luxurious linens.

Three generations of women in our family gathered on the coast of Oregon at this spectacular beach house! (We had four babies under the age of 16 months and there was plenty of space for everyone.) We loved everything about this location. It was quiet, there were plenty of gathering spots and the views are beyond breathtaking. We happened to luck out and landed a week of Indian Summer with blue skies and sun! (Very uncharacteristic of the Northwest for late October.) We hiked, sat on the deck, enjoyed the firepit and the fiery sunsets. Watching the full moon come up at the beach was ethereal. The house was very clean and had everything we needed--including a high chair and porta-crib, plus two washers and dryers! The kitchen is well-equipped and the dining area is large. Plenty of space to navigate around each other! The village of Manzanita was charming and the perfect walk from the house. We did it multiple times. And riding bikes on that long, flat beach was pretty spectacular as well. It was perfection!
And excellent and timely communication with owner/host. It was a dream come true for our group of 18. Thank you for helping us to make some important memories.

The beach is steps away and the 7 grandkids had a wonderful time, flying kites, building sand castles, blowing bubbles, and playing ladder toss. The adults enjoyed evenings around the fire pit.
The house was well appointed and roomy! We had 19 people ranging in age of 18 months to 64 years and everyone enjoyed the stay!

Our family of 13 spent 4 wonderful days at the amazing Big Blue. The setting was beautiful. The property had wonderful features such as a patio with firepit which we enjoyed at night and a deck in the backyard where we enjoyed our morning coffee and watched the sunset. The house was very comfortably and remarkably well stocked with all we needed, including everything we needed in the kitchen. Communication with Michael was timely and complete. Could not have asked for anything better!

As all the other reviews have said, this place exceeds your expectations in every way! The common spaces are beautiful and create a wonderful environment for spending time together. The house is also spacious, and all the bedrooms and bathrooms are very nice, so it was easy to get some space as well. The location could not be beat. A short walk to the beach, and you have a beautiful view of the ocean and Neahkahnie mountain. It is a public beach, but near the house it feels relatively private with fewer people and less wind! The kitchen was extremely well appointed with everything you might need to host dinners for a larger group. There's even an extra refrigerator in the garage. They also have things like beach chairs and umbrellas and stuff you might need to enjoy your time outside. We truly could not have had a better stay. Our whole group was raving about it. Thank you!

This place gets a five only because the scale does not go to six. All of us were amazed at the house, amenities and of course the location right on the beach. A huge expanse of fine grain sand to wander on the public beach just over a small sand dune at the back of the property. The view up and down the coast is spectacular.
The accuracy of online listing gets a four just because there was so much more than we expected of useful household items. We did not need to buy anything other than food.
The owner was very prompt in response to my questions. The neighborhood was peaceful at all hours.
Overall, it could not have been better, in my opinion. Well done!

This beautiful house graciously accommodated our extended family of 11, giving space and place for everyone, together or apart. It's close proximity to Manzanita, either by car or by foot on the beach was a real plus, as were the hikes up Niahkahnie Mountain.

This is our second time renting this amazing house. Location is perfect. House is comfortable and spacious. Kitchen is well stocked for a family that cooks. We loved it

My family and I stayed here for the weekend and we honestly couldn’t have had a better time! The house was perfect for the stay! Plenty of space, seating and had baby gates and high chair for our toddler. Also stocked with beach chairs for everyone!
The outdoor space was honestly the best part. Having a lawn so we could easily watch our niece running around was great and super rare to see. It was really nice to have the fire pit and sit outside to watch the sunsets. Short walk to the best part of the beach to pick up shells and watch the tide go out. It’s also an easy walk into town! We already talked about renting the house again in the future!

Let's be clear every corner of this lovely property was carefully thought out. Check-in was seamless, and the property is more beautiful than the pictures. If anything, there could be more pictures emphasizing the many comforts of this beach home on Neahkahnie Beach. One bathroom is featured, but all the bathrooms are well-appointed and spotlessly clean with plenty of towels, and the evening talks around the Gas Patio Fire Pit made for some great memories under the stars. Our group likes to cook, and the appliances provided are impressive. When you enter through the front door, everything in this expansive craftsman-style home is filled with light featuring large windows throughout to enjoy the beach and mountain views. The scraped plank-style wood flooring is a beautiful accent to the tastefully chosen and comfortable furnishings. The home is designed in such a way that if you need to tuck yourself away for some private time, it's easy to do. The flow of the home easily lends itself to entertaining with friends and family. If we had any questions communication with the owner was easy. We have already booked for next year and look expectantly forward to going back.Thankyou for the experience of staying here, Marianne.

Great week together with family from near and far. We loved the house which was more comfortable and spacious than it looks in the photos. It had every detail needed for a relaxed vacation; plenty of dishes, cookware, condiments. The pancake grill was used several mornings. Beautiful wood floors for children to play on; and a great bunk room which an entire family took over and enjoyed. Lots of room to spread out for all ages. The proximity to the beach was such a plus; we could run back and forth as needed. Such a gorgeous property in our favorite Manzanita location.

The home is absolutely beautiful! Excellent craftsmanship and decor throughout. Lots of windows and sliding glass doors! Spacious back deck - with an added smaller deck for a closer view of the ocean. The kitchen is very well equipped and modern. We love this house!!

Phenomenal house & property
We've stayed here multiple times and absolutely love it. In fact I hesitated before writing this because the truth is that it's so great that I'm not sure I want the world to know about it:) Seriously, though - it's ideal for a large family or multiple families and young kids. One of the few houses in Manzanita where you don't have to cross a road to get to the beach. The large backyard is such a great place for kids to run around when it's too windy/cold out on the beach. The house itself is lovely and super functional - plenty of towels, dishes, etc... two sets of washer/dryers... a nice bbq grill. And the owners are kind and responsive! We'll be back next year!

Fantastic!
The perfect family vacation rental. The property was clean and has a great location. We enjoyed finding sand dollars on the beach and catching crabs in the tide pools. Big Blue is a great home and has plenty of room and accommodations for your large group.

Memorial week-end with friends
The house was perfect for a long (rainy) week-end with friends. Plenty of space for 8 adults and 9 kids, we had a blast. Entertainment was available in the house, the house was remodeled with very good taste, particularly loved the hardwood floor!!

The home and location are perfect. The view of the cliffs is spectacular. We love the shops / restaurants in the town of Manzanita within walking distance. We had an excellent stay here and would rent again.

Great Family Beach Trip
