About this house rental
Nestled in Tybee Island, this attractive house for £575 per night is a great option for your next trip. Fabulous vacation property just 1 1/2 blocks to the beach. The home features a main residence with 5 bedrooms on three floors and 4 full bathrooms. A Guest Apartment is on the ground floor with 1 bedroom/1 bath. This home is very well maintained! The kitchen in the main house and the guest apartment we just renovated in November 2014 and include all stainless steel appliances and solid surface counters. All of the furniture, bedding, fixtures and finishes are updated often. The main residence features a living room/dining room, new kitchen, fully enclosed screen porch, a second family room/loft area with TV, five bedrooms and four full bathrooms. There are private decks on each floor. Also available is a ground floor guest apartment. This apartment features a large living room, eat-in kitchen and a bedroom with two queen beds. Main Residence: Please Read My Minimum Rental Periods; I Only Rent Saturday To Saturday During June, July And August.... I Do Not Rent The Guest Apartment By Itself During June And July. First Floor: Living Room/Dining Room, Screen Porch, Kitchen, Bedroom (with Queen Size Bed) and a full bathroom. Second Floor: Three Bedrooms (2 with Queen Beds and the Master with a King Bed) a full bathroom for the two bedrooms and a private bathroom and walk-in closet for the master bedroom. Third Floor: Family room/loft with a sleeper sofa, love seat, TV and a private deck. One large bedroom with three full size beds and one twin bunk bed, a full bathroom and private deck. Guest Apartment: Ground Floor: Living Room(sleeper sofa), Eat-In Kitchen, Bedroom (with 2 Queen Size Beds) and a full bathroom. I Have A Week Minimum Rental In June, July And August And A Three-night Minimum Rental The Rest Of The Year (Excluding Holidays). This Applies To Both The Main House And The Guest Apartment. I Do Not Rent To College Groups; Even If You Say That 'you Will Take Great Care Of My House' Free Wi-fi Throughout The Place. All reservations canceled 48 hours or more from the booking date are subject to a $150 cancellation fee. Reservations canceled for any reason within 60 days of the date of arrival will result in forfeiture of the RENTAL DEPOSIT (50% of the original rental rate plus all taxes and fees). Reservations canceled within 15 days of the date of arrival will result in forfeiture of the entire rental amount, including all taxes, fees, and rental deposits. This place was probably great in its beginning, but it has been sadly neglected. The carpet in the living area needs a good cleaning or needs to be thrown away. The carpet going to the 4th floor needs to be replaced. The stair handrails are nasty. The baseboards and wall corners need to be painted. This house has been neglected. On the porch, there is a cabinet that is rusted and needs to be tossed. The screened are was nice, but the area needs to be cleaned. There is a coffee table out there that needs to be thrown away or refinished. The entire porch area needs to be cleaned.
We have stayed in VRBO's several times, but we have never been in one that needed someone to love it and take care of it more than this one.
On the bright side, our family rolled with the neglect and we had a good time. The place was clean, just run down. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils.

Massive house, easily slept our 12 guys, almost with everyone in the own beds. Great location within a 2 minute walk to the main strip of Tybee (bars, food, shops) and a 5 minute walk to the beach. Only complaint was the cleanliness of kitchen area / dishes. Given the steep cleaning fee on the property, I did not expect to have to hand wash almost every dish / cup we used before use due to grime / residue. We washed and put away what we used after night 1, but purchased plastic cups / plates for the rest of the stay. Other than this, I couldn’t think of a better spot!

Only bad thing i will say is this house gets very hot with the temp on 70 and also the beds are not comfy at all. Everything else is wonderful. House is very big and will sleep everyone. We had a group of 14 and everyone had a bed. This house is in great proximity to everything on the island and just walking distance from restaurants and bars! short walk to the beach also.

Issues
The house was great except maintenance was needed. Bathroom door stuck, ceiling fan didn’t work, kitchen faucet came back on by itself. Very small refrigerator for house that slept that many people and not enough seating so everyone could enjoy dinner together.

Good experience, but could be a better
House was spacious and roomy. Plenty of amenities. However, the floors all need a thorough cleaning, including carpet on stairs. The ceiling fans on the porch can’t go above ‘low’ setting as they want to rattle out of their supports. In Georgia in June, thats a problem. Also, saw some other areas that could be cleaned and painted.
Love the proximity to the beach, shops, and restaurants, but that comes with a trade-off. Directly across the street is the back of a convenience store and pizza restaurant. Lots of noise with the dumpster usage and food/drink delivery in early hours of day.
Overall, happy with the experience and already booked it for next year but felt like there is some room for improvement.

It was a perfect location for my family, many of whom had never seen the ocean before. Just a quick walk to the beach! The only complaint was how many stairs! but it was only for a long weekend. There was plenty of parking for all of the family that drove in from the Midwest. There was plenty of space for everyone!

Mom and Daughter Getaway
This house was perfect for our group of 23. There was plenty of room for everyone. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and everyone was comfortable. The location to the beach was phenomenal, only about a five minute walk. We were not expecting to have to go outside the house to access the in law suite, however that wasn't a big problem. From the beginning when organizing our stay the host was really helpful and pleasant. We arrived at the rental agency and were met by a very helpful agent who willingly accomodated our early check in. This was a wonderful getaway, where we were able to relax and make some precious memories.

Great place for a family gathering!
Our family of 20 got together at this house for Christmas and had a fantastic time. The house had plenty of space, was very clean, and was in a great central location. Would definitely stay here again!

Christmas Family Reunion 2019
Great place for our large multigenerational family....offered plenty of room to gather and space to separate when necessary. Our only complaints were the lack of water pressure when more than 1 faucet was on which made showering interesting with our group of 17.....I literally had the water go to a trickle while I had a head full of shampoo when someone was doing dishes downstairs....come back on ice cold, then go scalding hot, before it leveled out ....the other was the dirtiness of the laminate floors. Our feet were dirty from walking barefoot inside. The cleaning service might want to learn about the benefits of a good mopping.

Great for large family!
This property was located within walking distance to the pier and great for a large family—we had 18 people ranging in age from 7 to 87! It was beautiful and well maintained. Our only cons were low water pressure that would completely shut off if too much water was being used. It would take a few minutes and then the water would come back on, but while you are waiting in the shower- it feels like a bit! It is also located next to a dumpster that local bars use to dump glass bottles throughout the night so a little noisy. However, after saying those, we would still stay there again—the positives definitely outweigh the slight inconveniences. It was wonderful!

We had a blast staying here!
We stayed here for a long weekend with a group of 13 of us! We had a great time and there was enough room for all of us to have a bed to sleep in! It was easy to access and in a great location!! We spent the first full day in Tybee and also made trips into Savannah! The property management was so nice and generous to us and easy to communicate with! I will definitely be back!!

We had 17 girls stay in this house. It accommodated everyone so well. Plenty of space! We could have fit a few more if needed. The property was very clean and updated. All of the beds slept very comfortably. We never ran out of hot water. I do think the house had a harder time staying cool. Something to know is the main part to the house requires you going up a bit flight of stairs. This is not a complaint because it wasn’t a big deal, but elderly or disabled need to plan to stay on the first level. We will definitely rent this property again. The staff is super nice and respond very quickly.
