About this house rental

This beautifully restored, three-bed, two-bath Victorian home is located in Denver's historic Whittier neighborhood. This is the actual place where William F Cody, "Buffalo Bill" , spent his last days and the place of his death. The former residence of his sister, this house is an iconic Denver historic landmark. Now for the first time open for public and renters. This home has been restored to its Victorian glory, as true to its origin as possible, using mostly original material from the time period. The house's interior is all beautiful wood and architectural details restored to its original dark wood finish. Kitchen and bathrooms meet modern standards. The two-story Victorian home has a spacious backyard and is set on a quiet, tree-lined street. It’s just two blocks from the light rail station on the D line that runs through downtown Denver with stops along the 16th Street pedestrian mall, the Convention Center, the University of Colorado campus and, further south, the University of Denver campus. It’s a short walk to City Park, the Denver Zoo and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science as well as plenty of options for nightlife and dining in the River North Art District. For skiers and others, I-70 is just a few minutes away, leading up to the mountains.

My husband and I were in Denver for a family event, and I was looking for a nice house with at least three bedrooms, so that my sister and her husband could stay with us. The house was beautifully furnished, and had a very interesting historic past. While it wasn’t as close as I originally thought it was to my sisters house in Cherry Creek, it was only a short drive away, so that worked out fine. Getting the locks to work was a little tricky, but after a phone call with the owner, we worked it out. I would caution that there are stairs, so, if guests have mobility issues that might be something to think about. Everything was spotlessly clean, the bathrooms were modern and overall the house was very nice to stay in. AC also worked very well which was appreciated as the weather was hot during the weekend.
