Staff
Really poor shower no pressure, and very loud in beer garden under the room until midnight on weekdays

Staff were very good and responsive
Too noisy for me, it was a Saturday night and had a disco going on till midnight under my room

Lovely, old building. Friendly, helpful staff.
It was unfortunate that our stay coincided with a disco. The music was very loud and as our room was above it there was no chance of sleep until after 1am.

Busy pub serving the community. As someone touring on a bike it is always a pleasure to drop into the local day to day. Good welcome. Facilities functional, in line with price point.
No secure bike storage. Breakfast seemed to represent a bit of a challenge for the establishment.

Nothing
Very dated, dirty, very small. Green light on ceiling lights room all night. Noisy with staff crashing about and shouting. I except with a pub going to get music and noise until closing but clearly staff live in some of the rooms.pub closes then crashing and banging doors in others rooms when they came up about 1am. 7 am shouting to a member of staff in next room about group of lady's wanting to watch rugby! So we have this conversation through the door. Then at 8 am I get knock and shouting to get up I reply and I get oh sorry. Very bad stay could never recommend

The service from all staff was fantastic. Especially Ben, who was very polite and helpful when checking us in and out
Matress was a little too soft for me personally.

Friendly staff and customers - I was even given £1 for a nearby car park, as their car park was full. Small single room on the top floor very cleverly designed. Fan was on, and the bathroom window open when I arrived helping to mitigate the heat which enabled me to sleep well.
The only small challenge was where to plug the kettle in, but this was easily resolved.

The welcome was very nice, and I had a wonderful English breakfast just before 6pm (cut off time). The bar was very nice.
Nothing.

Breakfast not super, but adequate, could have done with an extra slice of toast and more than 1 mug of tea
I did not like the fact that breakfast had to be ordered at the bar, not very 'Hotel'. Had a bar meal on the first night, the bar staff and customers were all vaping and this made the atmosphere unpleasant, so much so we did not eat there again, we went to nearby hotels and bars for our food.

On the High Street, central location, beds were Ok length for me 5ft8
colleague who is taller, complained they were too short in the past.
2 twins end on end. Cannot fit any longer, or sacrifice one bed. So good if you are not tall.

The location in the centre of the town was good.
The pub below the room was extremely noisy late into.the night.. Sleep was impossible.
The car park was full with pub goers.
The room was tiny and badly in need of refurbishment.
The ensuite floor was permanently wet with a leak from somewhere.

Checking out!!
Staff were disinterested. Was checked in by someone wearing another company uniform who didn’t work there. Never told us they did breakfast so missed it didn’t know if it was included in the price or not.
Lighting in room was appalling 2 spot lights & a dusty bedside lamp. Not one shelf was level. Mould and very loud. Emptying bottles at 1am so not a good night sleep. Will not be going back!!

Booking a single room generally means that the room will be small, which it was, however it was a pleasant and unexpected surprise to find included in the room was also a television and tea/coffee making facilities. There was also an ensuite shower room. The bed linen and towels were sparkling white.

Room was just above the bar. Loud music and shouting until well after midnight. They should not let this room on a Saturday night! No working bedside lights.
