About this house rental
Located in Colorado Springs, this lovely house for £173 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Summary: This home is bright, open, and spacious. We're centrally located in a quiet cul-de-sac in a beautiful neighborhood with mature trees and a network of trails and parks with great views. 2300+ sqft, tri-split-level plus basement. We have 1 king bed, 4 queen beds, plus a queen air mattress. There are 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. The Space: Layout: - 3 bedrooms upstairs - Open kitchen/dining/sitting room on main level - Lower level has sitting area, covered patio with hot tub, and TV room - Basement has game room, 2 bedrooms, and a desk. - Big back yard for the kids to play in or for a pick-up game. Centrally located: - 5 minutes from IMAX theater and restaurants/shopping - 15 minutes to downtown, Colorado Springs Airport, or Air Force Academy (all different directions) - 20 minutes to Garden of the Gods - 5 minutes to beautiful Palmer Park Entertainment: highspeed internet, and a Roku TV for Netflix, Hulu, etc. Please no raging parties, but family get togethers, holiday celebrations, etc. are welcome as long as you clear it with us first. Due to a city ordinance and fire codes there can be no more than 12 people in this home at once, for any family get together, or holiday celebration. Please talk with us about your plans in our home prior to booking. Please let us know and keep parking to the driveway and garage since we're in a cul-de-sac. Guest Access: You'll have full access to the entire home, including the 2 car garage and large backyard. We are located on a cul-de-sac so please be respectful of our neighbors and only park in the driveway and garage (can fit 6+ cars). The Neighborhood: The Village Seven neighborhood is an established neighborhood with lots of large trees and a trail network with playgrounds and parks throughout, very family friendly. We're a short 3 minute walk from the nearest trail entrance. Getting Around: You'll be centrally located about a mile from either Powers or Academy (major north/south roads) with lots of shopping, restaurants, etc. off of both. This is a suburban home so a car is going to be your best mode of transportation (true for most of Colorado Springs). Other Things to Note: AT&T users do not get good signal here. Verizon and Sprint seem to be good (LTE). We do have fast wifi to help you stay connected. This is a split level, so is not handicap accessible. No raging parties, but family get togethers, holiday celebrations, etc. are welcome. Please let us know and keep parking to the driveway and garage since we're in a cul-de-sac. Permit #: 0162 Interaction with Guests: We are available via messenger or phone/text to help with anything you need, we're located across town so you likely won't actually see us.

Fantastic and spacious. Everyone loved the hot tub especially! The place was incredibly clean & tidy. The hosts leaving us towels and soap, shampoo, conditioner were very helpful.

Very nice rental, it is in a residential neighborhood that feels quite safe. The parking advisements and noise guidelines are to be expected. We are a large family, house has plenty of room with comfortable furniture and beds were great. Contact with the owner by message was easy and they answered right away. Hot tub was clean and ready to go, very nice.

A pleasant surprise! I was a little skeptical due to some of the other reviews. However, this place was clean, everything in good working order, with many amenities. It is true about the AT&T services not working at the house; however, the Wi-Fi was adequate, and really with the teenagers with less access made a fabulous family weekend. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook and things I forgot, like salt and pepper. Plenty of towels, and the hot tub was great and clean. Checked in at 4 pm with no issues and great communication from the hosts.

This place was close if not 20-30 minutes from majority of the places we went. Did fit 5 couples and a toddler. Price was reasonable. Any issues were referred to owner Ryan and replied immediately via email.

I had already cleaned up crumbs on the counter and in the fridge and washed the kitchen towel and sheets in my child’s room. The only response from the owner was that he’d ask the cleaners about it. I’m not sure why he believed the cleaners claims that they had done their job when I had pictures that they hadn’t. There was no attempt to correct any of this for us. It’s really too bad that the place isn’t being cleaned better. It makes the stay unpleasant in what would otherwise be a spacious, updated home in a nice, quiet neighborhood.

This property was beyond clean. We had plenty of room. The beds were comfy and I slept so well on the pillows. I didn’t even have to ask for the check in info, everything was sent to me with more than enough time.

I didn't personally stay as I rented it for a group of contract employees that we flew into town for a conference. However, they all really enjoyed their stay and there was plenty of room for everyone. As they stayed during a snowstorm, they really appreciated having use of the garage and the hot tub.

Do not choose this place! It has the kind of cheap furnishings, poor cleaning practices, and lack of help from the host that give Vrbo a bad name. Expect furniture to be missing, broken, unsafe to use, or simply unusable. Expect to have to clean, shop, and repair items that are standard in a home and be offered a token reimbursement (way below minimum wage) for YOUR VACATION TIME spent cleaning, repairing, and shopping. Do not expect help from the host – no effort will be made to get you basic items or items pictured or mentioned at their site, or to have repairs done while you were there (our reservation was for 11 nights, so there was plenty of time for repairs and servicing).
Here is what we found for our family of eight:

We were in town for a sporting event and there were 7 of us. We all had plenty of room (5 bedrooms) and it was nice to have space to hang out together. For the price, this is a great place. Nothing fancy and the furnishings are sparse and cheap, but they worked.
Owner is great though and very responsive. I’d give this a 3 out of 5. Was good for a family on the go.

We were in town for a sporting event and there were 7 of us. We all had plenty of room (5 bedrooms) and it was nice to have space to hang out together. For the price, this is a great place. Nothing fancy and the furnishings are sparse and cheap, but they worked.

Great place for a family retreat!
Our family really enjoyed our stay in this 5-bedroom home! It was spacious with lots of room to spread out, large kitchen, and the beds were so comfortable! It's a split level home, so if you have a problem with stairs, don't choose this one, as the bedrooms are either upstairs or downstairs. But that wasn't a problem for us.
The home is in a nice, quiet neighborhood, very easy to get to, and not far from plenty of shopping and restaurants.
We would definitely stay here again!

Nice place for a family get together
This is a nice place in a calm locality. The host was really nice and provided all the details well in advance. The property has a huge backyard and we spent some quality time there. They had basic stuff for cooking, like sugar, salt, spices, etc.
The only downside was the squeaky floor boards and the noisy Heater. So people sleeping in the basement will have some tough time to sleep.
But overall we enjoyed the stay and would recommend it.

This house may look nice in pictures, but it is clearly a property that is only intended for short-term rentals, furnished in the cheapest possible way…beds and chairs that shift and squeak with every movement, mismatched curtains hung on a wire, broken tread-plate on stairs, even the bathtub faucet detached from the wall! I documented everything I found damaged when we got there and privately reached out to the owner to avoid any problems, only to be charged after departure for an alleged broken nightstand that housekeeping discovered! When I inquired about which room the “broken” table was found, and discovered it was the room I had in fact used, I was adamant that the table was in good working order when I left. The owner then changed his story, claiming it was in a different bedroom (one my brother and his wife had shared), and they too assured him that the table had been fine on departure. I asked for a picture, and was shocked to discover two legs visibly bashed, with the top unattached…clearly not how they had left it! I’m not sure what’s going on, but if we had indeed broken the table, we would have told him and offered to pay for it; my integrity is worth more than $30! So word of advise: if you do rent this property, not only document what is broken on arrival, but clearly video each and every room on departure to avoid any mysterious “broken” charges!!!
