Great location. Well maintained, safe, and has all the amenities you could want, i.e. three swimming pools.

We were very happy with our stay.

This is an old run down property. With the ceilings and roofs around the property, especially near the pool, looking like it could collapse at any moment.
The price is cheap compared to other hotels. For 1x week stay, it is cheaper than the hard rock hotel 50 metres away , by $400 AUD. I wish I had paid the extra $400
I suppose you get what you pay for.

We used the discount for food and spa services. It was excellent. We would definitely visit again

Towels and hand towels ,need replacing immediately very bad ,towels are only half the size of normal towel

We love this hotel and it’s our go to when in Bali. Just one negative and that’s the lack of no smoking areas around the pool. It’s hard enough to get a subbed at the best of times because people leave their towels out and go off for ages, but when you do get one the next thing you know a family of heavy smokers sit next to you and you have to leave because of the stench and the dangers of passive smoking.

Stayed in Grand Deluxe room Bali Wing. Bed was huge and amazing, was great to have a balcony to sit out occasionally. The bathroom took me by surprise, by how small it was, plus, the towels are old thin and greying, therefore that was my only let down .
Staff and service are impeccable, breakfast was a very good variety and changed daily.
The pools are big and plenty of lounges to be had, loved having the swim up bar. We had the odd lunch by the pool, but, it was not my place of choice to eat, felling a little indifferent about the food.
This was my 1st time at Truntum, after many years of travel to Bali. We will definitely stay here again. Location and pools are key for a great stay.

Breakfast was below average

Its an excellent location hotel right in the heart of Kuta and door step to the beach.
Property Conditions:
Staff Excellent service always happy.
3 pools highly recommended stay Poolside rooms in front of Kelapa Pool.
Rooms are rundown otherwise clean. No iron and tea and coffee sachets are disgusting.
Food:
Breakfast is average not flashy and not to much Hot options for Westerners. Sausages no taste and other cold options not flavourful at all. Don’t expect 5 star quality buffet, for the 8 nights we stayed Ill rate it 3 star.
Dinner and room service Options, food was excellent and cheap. Big comparison to breakfast. You must try to tenderloin outstanding.
SPA service:
Waste of money and very inexperienced staff. Massage services was very low never again.
Overall would I come back Ill might say maybe but not definite until some changes to breakfast and room conditions.

Overall enjoyed our stay at truntum. Buffet breakfast is adequate, but could be improved, a few meals were disappointing. Room TV had poor reception.
Staff were extremely polite and friendly. Rooms are basic, but again adequate. Location is great.

The hotel is over rated and priced compared to what it really is. You can find better hotels in this area.
We payed extra for "panorama ocean view", for this extra we could see the ugly roof of the hotel and the outdoor units of the air conditioner, this is really a scam.
The air conditioner didn't work in our first room, after that we reported this to the reception, they sent someone to fix it while we were in town. When we arrived, the room was dirty and the air conditioner was still not working. We went down to the reception again, then they gave us another room sarcastically asking in the new room if it's going to be cold enough here? Yes, the air conditioner was working there, which should work without saying since it's 33 degrees outside.
The hotel building is in a very bad condition and is not a 4-star hotel at all, the bathroom is also in an extremely bad condition, the water is dripping, the shower head is disgusting, the soap dispenser has fallen out of place.
The beach next to the hotel is full of vendors who are very annoying and the beach is dirty. There is a constant traffic jam in the area, which makes it very difficult to reach the hotel by car and requires a lot of extra time.
The breakfast is not tasty, there is not much choice, too many people, there is a hunger war in the restaurant. Cold meats are served outside a refrigerator without ice and there is no air condition in the room, this is not safe at all.

The location and pools are excellent. The price is right for what you get but I’ve gotten better for the price in the area if you don’t want to be on the beach. The rooms are in bad shape and lots of deferred maintenance especially all of the bathroom fixtures. I’d stay if location, beach and pools are your thing. If you want a nice room then I’d stay somewhere else.

It’s by far a terrible hotel.
My journey to a terrible evening began with a friend's glowing recommendation of Trumtum Kuta Bali. I presented my booking reservation itinerary at the front desk, where it seemed more like a game show of passing my phone around than a check-in process. Eventually, I landed at the actual receptionist, who was pleasant enough.
After a bit of back-and-forth, they assigned a concierge to escort me to room 2109, hidden in a place fit for a treasure hunt. The concierge, let's call him the 'Tour Guide Extraordinaire,' stopped mid-walk to engage in a chat while I waited patiently, feeling like a lost soul in a labyrinth.
I embarked on my elevator escapade, exploring floors like a contestant on "Find the Room." Sadly, my quest ended with no room in sight. As I made my way back to the reception, lo and behold, there's Tour Guide Extraordinaire having a reunion with his chat buddy - the déjà vu struck hard.
Trumtum Kuta Bali: where rooms play hide-and-seek, concierges have their social hour, and guests get a front-row seat to the Staff Chronicles. Who needs a refund when you've experienced the Trumtum Staff Shenanigans firsthand?

Had a wonderful time at Truntum / Grand Inna.
We have been to Bali often, and always stay here.
The staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful.
The beautiful Dexmar Martini is always a joy to deal with, we always look forward to catching up with her and our room cleaner Bayu was so thorough and always had a smile on his face.
The reception / check in staff had us relaxed and smiling from the outset and the reservation staff Laksmi and Widi went out of their way to give us the room we requested.
Loved our time here again and would definitely recommend

This property is very old and in need of a renovation, particularly the towels - both the bath towels and the pool towels. They were old and didn’t smell clean at all.
Our first room wasn’t very clean and when we told them they immediately upgraded us and overall the staff were wonderful and caring.
The free welcome drink was very disappointing as it was just a small glass of orange juice as was the breakfast as there weren’t many options. But the best thing about the hotel was the location - perfect for walking for shopping, drinks, dinner or whatever you fancied.

Staff are super attentive and friendly. Not sure if they saw my message that it was my mum’s birthday but nothing special was done it said about it (but other people did have a birthday song at breakfast). Pools were great and warm. Location was fantastic. Breakfast buffet is also great especially to try Indonesian food.

Upon arrival I had to argue about receiving the room upgrade based on my gold status They said it was an Expedia offer and not theirs.
After some back and forth, they agreed however the room they put me in was dirty and very old. Nothing like the photo representation. Certainly did not feel like an upgade.
That evening, a sewer smell started in the bathroom... despite the fan being on, it was still there. The next morning I went to the front desk and reported the smell. By afternoon when I returned, they masked the smell with perfume. When I enquired, they said that was the "fix" the manager decided upon. I told them it was unacceptable.
Another manager accompanied me to the room and immediately was displeased as he said that perfume will not fix the problem.
(he was very nice!)
At that time they changed my room, indicating that it was in fact the water line that housekeeping should have "flushed"
While the other room smelled good and was bigger, it was still old. Definitely not 4*
Restaurant service was poor. Buffet breakfast however was great.
Pools were nice, area was lively and security staff very nice.

The Hotel was in a great spot and the pool areas were good and not too busy. Staff were delightful and very friendly. The hotel is in need of some renovation but our room was clean, linen changed regularly and the bed comfortable.

Very nice resort on the beach. The people at the resort were always happy and friendly. The service was excellent. The price was excellent. Stayed 9 days and it was wonderful. Had a spa facial and massage. Very nice. They have three pools at the resort. Also a large restaurant which served a wonderful breakfast buffet. In the evening the restaurant is open. It has a very nice menu.
