Our stay was fine, but the check-in/check-out process was NOT satisfactory. At check in the line was very long and it took a long time to be assisted. We got there in plenty of time, but we had dinner reservations and missed them because we waited for 30 mins to get checked in. At check out, similar situation.. Although there was no line, there was only one person working and she was on the phone for a very long time. It seems like check in/check out times need to have everyone available to help.

My recent stay at Courtyard by Marriott Kansas City left me thoroughly dissatisfied. Despite the front desk has strongly recommended the valet parking service for safety, our vehicles were stolen, revealing a significant security breach. The valet parking area lacked essential monitoring and security personnel, proving to be as unsafe as the public option. What added to the disappointment was the hotel's response post-incident. Instead of providing support, they handed us over to a third-party company, creating a communication void as if the incident hadn't occurred on their premises. To compound matters, neither the hotel nor the third-party company offered any compensation for our losses. The lack of transparency further fueled our frustration. The hotel failed to provide any recording of the valet parking area, hindering a thorough investigation into the theft. This experience falls short of the commitment to guest safety and satisfaction. I hope the hotel takes urgent steps to address these security concerns and provides a more supportive environment for its guests in the future.

We stayed here for 4 days. The first day we slept in but the rest we were out in the morning for the day and our room wasn’t cleaned once. There was hair elastics and other debris from previous guests. It was definitely not up to the normal Marriott standards. The 3rd day we asked if we could have our room cleaned or at least the small garbages dumped and towels replaced but came back at night and nothing had been cleaned. The employees could care less even when we told the front desk. I’m pretty easy going but the two of us staying here weren’t impressed

Marriott as a brand is just not what it used to be! Not one single thing in our last 3 Marriott stays, and all in the last 90 days, has been luxurious, or made us feel pampered. Elevators not working, front desk dont seem to know their job, beds and linens so far beliw luxury standards! Truly looking for a replacement for Marriott and all their stepchildren they're yrying to bring under their brand.

The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area! We had no idea about the transit system or transportation. They gave us information and gave directions to the stop. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and accommodations of the hotel!

This hotel was top notch. Definitely a return visit is in the foreseeable future. My girlfriend and I stayed over night for a concert and it was fantastic. Beds were comfy, room was amazing inside, the entire place was a great experience. Definitely 5 stars.

The hotel was located in the Downtown area. It was 2 blocks walk from the free cable car. The staff was escellent and helpful. The only issues we had was that the shower current had a moldly smell. We asked for it to be changed. We were promised that it would but we were there for 6 days and it was never changed. The other issue is that there is not a safe deposit box in the room. It's at reception and no one seemed to know how that workded. Otherwise, we thought the hotel was great.

I was greeted by a friendly front desk person and was told about the coffee, breakfast offered in the morning, and other hotel features. He also gave me two small bottles of water, which was much appreciated, because it was hot and humid that day. I appreciated the cleanliness of my room. There was a large bottle of Shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower, but no lotion or q-tips, shower cap or make-up remover cleanser. So bring your own if you like or need that. The pillows were very comfortable, but the bed was too soft and felt "old." It was very uncomfortable. Overall, for the price, it was really nice, but not sure I'd stay there again.

The area around the hotel seems pretty sketchy at night. I felt I uncomfortable leaving my car there. At the parking lot on the side of the building, there was lots of glass on the ground that looked like from cars that were broken into. One of the staff members were really rude. I came down to get snacks in the middle of the night and he seemed very irritated that he had to get off of his phone.

This place is great. It is a few blocks from the Power & Light District and several eating places/bars. It is safe to walk, which was why we chose this hotel. I will definitely stay here again if I’m KC. Parking: They have valet service. If you pull into the circular drive, it means you want to valet. If you don’t want to valet, unload on the street and use one of the much cheaper open parking lots right across the street on the south side of the hotel. They did have a complimentary breakfast both Saturday and Sunday, which was excellent. However, I’m not sure if that’s always an option. I’d call first to check if that’s a deal-breaker for you. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked nice, if small. No hot tub. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay here again if we want to be in the middle of it all in KC!!
