I was travelling with my family, most of whom were new in the Netherlands. The staff was really friendly and considerate. The property is well connected via public transportation. The rooms in the top floor are super cozy and perfect for couples. We also managed to get rooms on the ground floor and basement for our parents since there are no lifts in the building.
5.0
- very nice welcoming young lady
- nice interior design
- helpful and kind lady when big cleaning issue was brought to her attention
- welcoming fruit and beverage in the room (very appreciated)
- nice and calm location but close to city center
- very big cleaning issue in the bedroom
- the breakfast is preparerdin the same tiny space where check-in is done and cleaning product are stored, the food seems really good but lack of respect of the most basic HACCP rules.
- when we checked out we had to give back the extra key so we left luggages in “storage” with the agreement that we would be back to pick them up around 6pm before going to the airport. when back nobody was there to open the main door or answer the phone. after 15 minutes a lady arrived (not clear who she was, she didn’t explain nor knew about us or luggages). She was not exactly kind, however we could enter the building with her, access the lobby where our luggages where laying close to a sofa. A guy on the sofa was busy with his smartphone and didn’t even say Hallo or goodbye. we took our luggage and left to run to the airport.
Initially didn’t want to report the above but decided to do so because if these issue are solved (as they can easily be) this can become a great place to stay in Amsterdam
8.0
Location (eg, near large park, close to Museum Quarter, tram stop not far away)
Reception, welcome & check-in excellent
Both rooms clean, light & well-maintained
Room locations as requested (specifically, the double room was on the ground floor)
Breakfast fine (if a little over-priced)
The beds were a bit narrow (in both the single room and the twin beds of the double room)

Great location, shortish walk to the museum quarter and the leidesplein

It was as expected, for the most part.
We were given a price to include breakfast, but when we checked out we were told our son was not included in that price

The location is great and very close to Vondelpark
My room had a very strong air freshener smell which wasn’t too pleasant. The rooms are a bit outdated but comfortable. Bathroom is on the small side.

Loved the hotel, friendly staff, beautiful area,
Was slightly further out of the main area than I would've normally gone for but the weather was beautiful, and with a choice of walking through the Vondelpark or heading straight up the road and going by the Rijksmuseum, the extra walk didn't phase me.
7.0
Dogs friendly, location, comfortable bed, clean.
The shower was disgustingly clogged. Surprise extra €28 for your dog which is not mentioned when you book.

Lovely staff. Good location. Quiet road. Easy to reach on public transport ('Emma straat' stop).
The room was very small and not well furnished. The hot water was not working on one of our three mornings. The breakfast was very expensive, so we went elsewhere.

Great location, and reasonably priced. No problems and clean sheets.
Wi-Fi was weak, but I wasn’t there to watch tv or work

Stunning location, so close to the tram and beautiful room with very comfy bed and lovely garden. Area is very safe for solo travelers !
Shower didn’t have a lot of pressure, possibly due to behind downstairs but that’s a minor detail !

Super comfy bed, great view, great shower. Staff were nice and friendly. The top floor was quiet and easy to sleep
A little out of the centre, but still able to walk/tram in. Unsure about the kitchen & breakfast if we were allowed it

Location. We had access to an outside terrace. Staff were pleasant. Free decent coffee.
Basement level room was narrow and badly lit. Narrow twin beds. Only 1 chair.

the hotel has a warm feeling the staff are exceptionally friendly and ready to assist, the room I was allocated was exceptionally comfortable clean but....
I liked the small balcony. & The green. trees etc, I noticed breakfast was served but I had no time to sample the nice bread etc, it is a Hotel to be based if you are looking to explore Amsterdam, the area felt safe and has a more upscale look than the rest of the Amsterdam centre thank goodness, Car parking of the street was possible, In general I would say book in confidence but don't take the Attic rooms unless you are healthy and sporty
But to get to the room ... you should take with you your heart tablets - top attic floor & if you are unlucky and have baggage forget it... call the ambulance in advance to make sure you get to the top - the stairs are Dutch vertical .. this room should be allocated to the under 30 guests if they are healthy and sporty, they will love it ... hahahaah

The location was pretty close to the museums, the room was clean and had a big TV. The stuff was really nice and the compliments from the hotel were pretty great too :)
The room lacked some light and the water pressure was not that great.
9.0
Great position, close to the center and public transport.
Friendly and welcoming staff
The breakfast was good.
A beautiful park is next to the Hotel.

The staff were super friendly and helpful but unfortunately that couldn't fix some real problems with the building.
Not happy about a room on the topfloor without a lift. Three narrow, steep sets of stairs to get to the room should have been pointed out before I made the booking.
The A/C unit required a hose to be placed in the balcony door as an hot air exhaust.
Water pressure so poor a lukewarm shower was not really possible.
