This charming place is in a perfect location for shopping, dining, and catching the Metro to visit other parts of the city. The apartment is huge and lovely, and windows overlook the street which can make for wonderful people watching. We arrived in the rain and the owner was there within minutes to greet our party and walk them through the process. The steampunk vibe is really fun!

This place is Lovely! We booked so the kids could go to a music festival. The Subway was close and Old Town and waterfront steps away. Right in the middle of the action

This loft exceeded our expectations! It truly is in the heart of Old Montréal, with so many sights and activities within walking distance. It is the perfect location!
The loft was exceptionally clean and the linens were nice. Al was so kind to meet us the first day and very responsive to questions we had about the area. Al provides a soda fridge, which was a nice feature after a long day exploring the city.

Loved being in the heart of Old Montreal! Apartment is well equipped and has huge bedrooms. Favorite part for my kids and husband was probably the beverage cooler with such a wide variety of soda and waters. Great host communication and he provides a helpful overview upon arrival. Don’t look any further - just book it!

great property, amazing aesthetic, and phenomenal location. wifi was weak at times and the walls were paper thin. 10/10 would more than recommend.

We found Al's property on line and the reviews all positioned the apartment as an amazing fit for four (4) adults.
The location was exceptional - we wanted to be close to everything (we opted to park our car in a close-by car park) for the five days we were in Montreal.
We walked to everything we wanted to see and there were great restaurants for Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner within an easy walk from the apartment.
Linen and quality of bedding was great - some of the best I've seen in sort term rentals.
Al was a brilliant host - attentive / responsive / accommodating in every regard - early check-in, late check-out & questions on appliance use etc.
The one small issue was the short term rental apartment above us was occupied by a small elephant for 2 nights we were there and they were not mindful of other tenants.
Can't recommend this apartment or Al highly enough!

This flat exceeded our expectations. The windows and flooring was especially wonderful The beds were all very comfortable. Lots of interesting decor too. We didn’t cook because good restaurants are so close. A Keurig would have been nice but there was a Mr. Coffee. Highly recommend!

This apartment was located right in the middle of everything. We loved the decor, as there are many interesting collectibles, photos, and uncommon objects. Loved having a laundry room next door. Apartment owner was responsive and helpful. Not sure how it could have been any better.

Al met us at the property when we checked in. He responded quickly to all messages. It's clear he strives to take care of his property and his guests. The apartment was clean and well stocked.
The apartment is on the second floor of a building in a section of Old Montreal that is listed in the book "1000 Places to See Before You Die". The block is closed to traffic. There are many shops and restaurants steps from the front door. We visited in August 2022 and the area was packed with visitors.
Parking is $20 a day. The laundry is on the same floor and it is free, but is shared with the building.

Artfully decorated place in walkable neighborhood
Very nicely decorated first floor walkup at the edge of bustling neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay here, and the apartment worked well as a home base for us and our 4 year old, who enjoyed riding his scooter on local streets, which are mostly closed off to auto traffic. Even though it is a busy nightlife neighborhood, it is not too noisy, as the apartment is located right on the edge of the restaurant/bar scene nearby. Host was terrific. Highly recommended (just be aware there is one flight of stairs if anyone has mobility issues).

Location Mai 2022

Wonderful stay an old Montreal
We had a very nice stay as a family of four right in the heart of old Montreal. Two adults and two teenagers. The apartment is very roomy and clean. Beds are very comfortable. There is definitely some early morning noise from the neighbors above and late night noise from the street. Overall we really enjoyed the stay and would recommend it.

Our family of four always looks for unique homes for our vacations, and this loft exceeded our expectations. What I didn't realize until we arrived is that the flat is literally on a destination street, the oldest in Old Montreal. The view is breathtakingly beautiful, especially with all of the holiday decorations.
Our family of four (me, my husband, 17-year-old son and 12-year-old daughter) visited at Christmas 2021, in the middle of the pandemic. Yeah, I know, but we drove from the U.S. and knew that much of the town would be shut down. We saw only a glimmer of what Montreal must be like without covid restrictions, so we can't wait to return.
Since town was pretty quiet, we spent a lot of time in the loft. Despite the legendary cold weather, the loft was surprisingly comfortable and warm, even with the tall windows and ceilings. We watched movies (bring a firestick!) on the huge TV in the family room, and read and napped in the comfortable beds. We loved the funky interior design.
The kitchen is serviceable, you don't want to cook a large meal there, but you don't have to, there are so many good restaurants within walking distance, plus a ton of takeout and delivery options. The dining table is huge, there's enough dishware and silverware, and a dishwasher to take care of it. I also used the coffeemaker every day.
We didn't experience much noise from the outdoors or neighbors and what we did hear didn't bother us as former city-dwellers. We took care to keep our noise down, easy with teens.
Finally, Al was one of the most responsive hosts we've ever worked with! He answers texts very quickly and was so patient with us as we tried to figure out timing around our whole covid testing/border crossing requirements.
I highly recommend this apartment for families and for friends' getaways, and I can't imagine a better place to stay for Christmas and/or New Year's!

Christmas in Montreal
We had a wonderful Christmas holiday visit to Montreal. The accommodations were in ideal location in Vieux Montreal near excellent dining and shopping. The property manager was very friendly, responsive and helpful. Only drawback was late night and early morning noise from residents in floor above apartment.

As good as I had hoped
The property was conveniently located in the heart of Old Montreal with plenty of restaurants and shops just steps away from our door. There was some noise from the lively streets at night, but it was never obnoxious. Although it may be something to consider if you are a light sleeper.
Al, the property manager, was very quick to respond to our messages and he was always very pleasant.
The property was very spacious, well-stocked with necessities (paper products, towels, dinnerware, fans), and it was very tidy upon our arrival. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were quite nice. The futon (which might be the “sofa bed” that’s listed) was very uncomfortable to sit on, but there was another sofa and several chairs. I really appreciated all of the lighting options as well. There was track lighting with a dimmer switch in multiple areas of the main space and in each bedroom. There were several table and floor lamps that offered a warmer, side light. The large windows let in plenty of natural light during the day, and the blinds allowed for a great deal of control over that.
I would definitely stay at this property again. It was very enjoyable. Everything at the property seems to have been well thought out and it really adds to the overall experience.
