About this house rental
Nestled in Ohio, this lovely house for R 2,761 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Just a few steps from the shores of Chippewa Lake, Ohio's largest natural lake, Brookshore Cottage is both spacious and cozy. Built as a summer cottage for family retreats, expansion and renovation have made it a delight for today's travelers. Comfortable sleeping for up to 12, the rate shown includes 8 guests. Add an extra 4 person room for additional charge of $50/night for the room. There are 2 bedrooms (one King and one Queen) and a full bath on the main floor. Each of these bedrooms has a TV. The second floor offers additional sleeping for 4 in the base price and another full bath. One of these areas is a loft with daybed and pull-out trundle that is not private and the other is a cozy nook with twin beds and slanted ceilings that is best suited for kids or shorter adults. For groups with more adults we recommend adding the extra bedroom. Handy first floor laundry. Main area includes 60 in. big screen TV in living room, fully equipped kitchen, large dining area, and pool table. Linens and towels are also provided. Outside there is a shady yard with large playset for kids and a deck with gas grill. Outdoor furniture is provided for lounging. The lake is a short distance and offers recreation plus gorgeous sunsets. Swim, boat, fish, or just relax! A new public launch ramp makes for easy access to the water if you bring a boat or jetskis. There is no horse power limit on Chippewa Lake.

We loved that the property and area were family friendly. There was plenty of room for everyone. My kids loved the games and playset on the property, but also that the community playground and beach were within walking distance.

A large group of 10 stayed. Nice little place. But the gem is the towns of Chippewa Lake and Medina. Highly recommend staying here if you plan to visit either place

Family came from Virginia, Colorado, Alaska, and Indiana to attend a wedding in Medina. Additional family from the area also attended a gathering at the cottage. The swing set and slide were enjoyed by the little ones and the back patio, front porch and living room were enjoyed by family members. This is a lovely house and we fully enjoyed the comfortable living spaces.

The property was perfect for our family and to celebrate Christmas. The property had everything we needed. We were comfortable in the house and had more than we had expected. Property managers answered our questions promptly and very friendly and helpful.

This was our second time staying at the property and our second visit was as great as the first. The house has everything you could think you might need and more. Multiple bedrooms and sleeping areas make it perfect not only for families but also friend groups who aren’t coupled up. Six single adult friends in our group and everyone had their own bed—something not always easy to find in a rental. Owner was great to work with and very responsive. Highly recommend.

Listing was very accurate, as we had all adults in our party, there was plenty of room for everyone. Wonderful neighborhood. Close to stores and food but a quiet neighborhood which was fantastic. Thank you for making your florida guests feel at home even when our family tried to freeze us with an autumn wedding😁

My wife and I were looking for a property with access to swimming where we could have our daughter and her children join us. This cottage was only a block from Chippewa Lake. It was a little bit more of a walk to the small but private beach. The cottage was a homey conglomeration of older furniture that had a play area outside in the shade. The entry way had a billiard table, which was used quite often while we were there. Communications with the manager were easily made and pleasant. There was plenty of space available for sleeping. There was lots of information provided regarding things to do in the area. Overall, it was a cozy place for a larger family to stay and spend time with each other.

Loved this cabin for our annual golf weekend with a group of 8 of us. Several good courses were within a 20 minute drive and a grocery store was just down the road.
Beds were very comfortable, dining area in front area was big enough for 8 big guys, and the living room had plenty of seating.
Very quiet neighborhood of cottages by the lake. We didn't spend very much time down at the lake, though we did walk around a bit and got some great sunset photos.

The driveway was large enough for our 4 vehicles. The common area was large enough to accommodate 8 adults and 4 children. There was a large table in the front of the house to seat all of us when we brought kitchen chairs into the room as well. Pool table, books, puzzles and parks nearby helped entertain the kiddos. Although the kitchen was not huge, we were easily able to make a Christmas dinner for all of us. Sleeping arrangements were 4 adults on the first floor with a shared bathroom. Tight, but there was room for a pack and play in one of the bedrooms. Upstairs there were 2 adults and a toddler with a shared bathroom. On the landing upstairs, there was a daybed with a trundle. The absence of a door to contain toddlers was my only concern, but we went upstairs with them often enough to satisfy their curiosity. The listing shows an adjacent room with a door for an additional fee, which we will try next time. Convenient washer and dryer were on the first floor as well. I touched base with the property manager several times with questions about the listing & the area, and always got a quick response and helpful information. We will definitely return when we need a large space!

Perfect weekend getaway place
Several girlfriends met at the property for a long weekend. The house had everything we could have possibly needed. The multiple bedrooms and sleeping areas worked well for individuals to have their own rooms or sleeping areas. While the stairs to the second floor are open (no risers), they were not difficult to navigate. Kitchen was well equipped and we appreciated the large table at the front of the house for sit down meals with a larger group. The house is close to the lake and made for some nice walks around the neighborhood. Looking forward to coming back again!

Although location was great no restaurants within 20mins. House was stocked but no ice or trays very limited cooking supplies like no dishwasher soap at all. Beds very comfy very quiet. It has a residents only park but we didnt have a pass sadly. Handicap access shower was UPSTAIRS. Tub downstairs v high sides. Children room perfect for 2 small kids n adorable! Pots n pans pretty decent. All in all had a good time but had to overcome a few obstacles. Would rent again!
