Rooms are smartly decorated with superb bed and bathrooms.
Restaurant was excellent.
Staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. Special thanks to Gracie for her wonderful service at dinner.
The lower ground floor rooms do suffer a bit from noise from the room above. My tip would be to ask for one of the upper rooms.

Good choice of food, and beer selection was fine. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and good supply of tea and coffee
Stairs to room were narrow and carpeted, so need to be careful

Lovely room to stay in v ery comfortable.
Didnt have an electric charge point in the car park. Would be very useful as is quite a way away from any other charge point locations.
Cooked breakfast was very nice, but rather mean not to include cereal/ pastries. Most guest houses / hotels will include these as part of your breakfast.

lovely rooms very modern and spotlessly clean. both the dinner and breakfast were first class.
the staff were lovely and welcoming.
it is located by a busy main road and we had to sleep with the window open and the road noise was intrusive

Most staff, the bed, the shower
One staff member in the bar was rubbish. The others brilliant. Only one key for the room between the two of us was a bit annoying

lovely location, good price, lovely room
shower head covered in limescale, option of cereal or croissant for breakfast would have been great

the location
stayed 5 hrs over the checkout time as had a sick bug and could not move . Housekeeping said it was fine as the room was not being used after .
I was then met with a 175£ bill for the 5 hrs .

the bedroom that I stayed in was very modern, lovely bathroom, shower which is important because it’s on a main road
there’s a main line railway running at the back of the detached bedrooms

Comfortable bed, decently sized room and bathroom. Close proximity to Bath - only 15 mins drive by car. Breakfast was good quality.
The windows of the double room we stayed at went right out onto the train tracks. We had the windows open as it was too stuffy in the room (mind you, it was +11 degrees outside) and were woken up by the passing fast trains at 7 am. There was a fan, but it was too loud to keep on at night. The pub stops serving food at 7 pm and stops serving drinks at 9 pm which is way too early in my opinion.
The breakfast itself was good, but considering the price that we paid for the room, it should have been included in the fee. The menu said that the shakshuka is served with two eggs, but I was served only one egg because "that is how the chef always makes it". I was served an extra egg once the discrepancy was pointed out, however, I do find it peculiar that the chef does not know his own menu.

Cosy, comfortable, spacious and clean rooms. Food at the restaurant was outstanding, especially breakfast.
Bit noisy hearing other guests open and close their doors and come in and out of rooms/up and down stairs.

Excellent food, very comfortable room and lovely, helpful staff
Would have liked a waste bin in the bedroom and the carpet around the dressing table area could benefit from a clean. Bad stains.

convenient for our location
bit noisy at night due to the A4 outside

The family room was nice and spacious. I also like the idea of the annex building in the middle of the woods. Quiet and cozy.

The room and soaps/lotions were really good. The food tasted good with with reasonable portions. The hotel has a good garden and has lots of charater.
The price was on the high side, but given the proximate location to Bath, where we needed to be, I was not surprised. I was dissapointed that for the price, it did not come with breakfast, we would have had to pay more for that.

food was excellent and good value for money
Room felt stuffy and was far too hot. No need for radiators to be up that high in September. Lights in the bathroom were so annoying (on sensors so came on in the night and woke us up when needing a wee in the night, but then went off whilst in the shower. Ridiculous.) Dreadful night’s sleep. And two Dressing gowns the same size? Just fitted me (I’m a size 10) Husband stood no chance of wearing it. Not sure how it has a 5-star rating.
