I liked the spacious room, bath and best of all the wonderful sea view. I chose the property for location. I walked by the sea and drive a short distance to see ancient sites in the area. This all worked well for me.
Nothing. I am vegetarian and prefer unprocessed food. My needs were met by eating at Relish, a nearby cafe and shopping at Tescos for picnic suppers. Breakfast at the hotel was adequate with very friendly helpful staff who made the atmosphere pleasant. I suggest the hotel could offer more diversity of food choices.

Excellent location directly at the beach, food store nearby, parking space available. Good food in the restaurant, friendly staff; nice and spacious room
you can hear noises from the room next to you and from the floor as walls and doors are poorly soundproofed...

This hotel is an absolute gem!! Fantastic service, fantastic food and fantastic facilites in a fab wee village with everything you need!! First of all, I rang Reddans to inform them that we would not be checking in until late in the evening which was not a problem. The car park was free. The room we got was very comfortable as was the queen sized bed! Coffee/tea was available in the room. Breakfast was amazing, the menu was varied but we had the full Irish. The big plate was hardly big enough for the breakfast itself! All the waiting staff were so helpful and engaging. After breakfast, we headed for a walk on the beach which goes on for miles which is directly at the rear of the property. The beach went on for miles and it was so clean. We arrived back at the hotel and we actually enquired if there was a vacancy for Saturday night. We couldn't believe our luck, we got a second night but this time we got a room with a sea view and a nice old leather armchair to soak the views in!! The weather was great and you almost felt like you were staying in a beach promenade hotel in Spain! We had dinner in the bar. I had the steak sandwich and my partner had the cod, both delicious and again the portions were so generous. The service in the bar was also excellant.
A fantastic weekend at Reddans. We loved it so much we have booked again in the summer for another 2 nights.
If you're looking for fantastic service, delicious and generous portioned meals, comfort, great value, sand, sea and views, this is an absolute gem!
The decor and furnishings are dated but in a sense it actually added to the comfort and relaxed nature of the property. Wifi is non existent, the tv in the room does not work due to the lack of wifi. An iron and ironing board would have been a welcome addition in the room. However, the excellant value and excellant service you get, not to mention whats in the backyard (the beach) and the amount of amenites around the village, its very hard to be critical...

Stayed before - bar/restaurant staff attentive, friendly.
Location great and close to Dublin
Neither the past reviews on Booking com 2023 nor in my 2 calls to BB is there any mention of the noise from the construction site next to the beach close by during the day. I would have really appreciated a comment as this was my ‘quiet ‘ time break but shame it failed. The volume and noise were intermittent from @ 8am to4/430pm from the site so I needed to leave the room .So very disappointing- only other room offered was over the car park ( less noise) seems the rest of the rooms were full …. Not ‘an understanding’ conversation with the desk!
This was a mid week break so I assume weekend have no noise.
Appreciate it’s tricky for the B B but it’s my only down time and I feel so disappointed not to be told in advance. .

It is right on the beach. the property is very old and has not been renovated in a long time. The staff are lovely people.
we booked in for dinner for 7 and we got told they closed the restaurant and we could eat in the lobby. We ordered steak sandwiches with chips. it was greasy steak on a soggy slice of bread. the chips were hard in the middle. The bar is for single older men. The music bands were not good at all. If you’re in your 60’s or 70’s you might like it. Then again you may not. The rooms are very very old fashioned with an old fashioned (meaning old) bathroom/en-suite. The sink and toilet was fine but the bath area is very very old. I wish they renovated this hotel as it was beautiful years and years ago. As we walked down the hall to our room we noticed holes in some double doors. It’s like your granny’s house but in a hotel, with the pics and ornaments. There are no sockets for charging so if staying bring an extension lead. I asked for one and I was laughed at. it’s in a lovely area beside the beach but not much else to do apart from walking on the beach or going to funtasia casino across the road. not funtasia the water park in Drogheda. It’s a room full of slot machines. We went to a cafe called Relish for lunch beside it and into Mr Price. Not much else to do. The entertainment is for older people in the bar. I am 38 and my husband is 41. We felt out of place. The staff are lovely. It was not for us. Disappointed as it was our anniversary.
