The property was immaculate and absolutely stunning! The extra’s like the extensive breakfast, the welcome cocktail, the cheese platter etc, etc, etc!!!! The staff were absolutely amazing!!!!

We loved everything about this fabulous hotel! The staff were so helpful, friendly and willing to please. Especially Carla the Fado singer and Carlos the waiter at the Fado Night.
The decor of the hotel and the attractive public rooms and our bedroom were a delight.
The situation of the hotel was very convenient and the staff helped us book tours, particularly Bruno who was a men of information about Lisbon and Portugal’s history.
There was nothing, we had a wonderful stay.

We didn’t get the room we booked. Photos were shown on booking.com. and I chose the room I wanted.
I had an email asking if I wanted to change and I replied no - I did not.
On arrival, the room I booked was occupied.
Just a shame as I didn’t want a bath in the middle of room which took a lot of space.

Breakfast was perfect with many food choices. The live piano and violin were wonderful. People were very friendly and helpful there. They show you the hotel and room. House is delicate like a palacio. Welcome drinks were wine tasty. Many places in it to explore.
With no kettle while most other four star hotels have.
The elevator is a little bit slow and old.
Room is a little bit small with that price.

Die Fotos beschreiben daß Hotel am besten. Man fühlt sich ein bisschen in eine andere Zeit versetzt. Als Begrüßungsgetränk gab es ein Glas Wein direkt aus dem Holzfass. Das Frühstück war sehr vielfältig und ausgezeichnet.
Wenn man mit dem Auto anreist, muss man die öffentliche, nahegelegene, Parkgarage nutzen.

Very friendly staff, always attentive and smiling, the room was very beautiful and with a lovely view of the river. Breakfast had a very large variety, tasty and presented lovely - and the main delight came from the pianist and the violin playing lovely soft songs. Also the evening show of Fadu with the amazing Carla Pires and the two guitar players!

Wunderschönes Gebäude, fast wie ein Museum. Herzlicher Empfang und Verabschiedung. Im Hotel ist alles sehr gepflegt, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und professionell.
Absolutes Highlight war das Frühstück mit verschiedenen Buffets in den wunderschönen Räumen, begleitet von Livemusik!

Everything was fantastic. Perfect location for wandering around Lisboa. The hotel was beautiful, we loved our room, the Royal Suite, bed was comfortable, shower perfect and a good breakfast. The staff was so helpful especially Mauricio and Diogo. We would definitely return if in Lisboa again. The downstairs wine bar was lovely to enjoy after a day of wandering- they made you feel like royalty.

It was beautiful, from the moment you walk in you know its going to be good.
The staff were friendly and helpful, recommending places to go to and making sure we had everything we needed.
The room was coat and the view from our window was superb.

We enjoyed the Turkish bath and sauna, it was easy to book and a perfect pre-dinner rest after walking all day.
Location is brilliant, with lots of good and coffee options around and well as gorgeous buildings to admire.

The best thing about this property is the location and the idyllic ambiance. The decor is done beautifully, both of the common areas and the rooms. Our room was very small, but cozy and well remodeled. And the whole hotel has a smell of spices that was incredible. The patio is very pleasant and quiet, the gym well equipped and the space in general has a lot of potential.
However, the stay was not memorable, mainly because the attention to the client was very lacking. No matter how beautiful a place is, it is the people that ultimately make it stand out. And everyone, from the front desk to the servers, were not particularly communicative. They all seem to lack proper training or vocation for costumer service. Our stay was to celebrate my mother’s birthday, information which I provided previously, and there wasn’t a single gesture on their part. Nothing. Not even a card in the room. Only a suggestion to decorate the room for an additional price of 25€, which I refused. Breakfast was also very disappointing, both in terms of variety and quality of things. Eggs only scrambled and boiled, low quality bread, poor presentation choices (such as individual plates with a few pieces of fruit already prepared instead of having plentiful trays where people can take the fruit they want)… It’s a shame because it has tremendous potential, but I think management should reassess what they are doing.

I simply cannot rate this hotel highly enough- the kind and helpful staff; the beauty of the bedrooms, lounges and spa; the amazing breakfast accompanied by beautiful live music; and most particularly, Thursday Fado night held by the talented and charming Carla which we saw last time we visited here. This is my favourite hotel in the whole world. They were wonderfully accommodating to us during a difficult time in our lives and I will never forget it. Amazing experience, restful space and fantastic value- we will be back as soon as we can!!

Colazione ottima sia per il cibo che per il contesto, succhi, frutta, torte e pasticcini freschissimi serviti in più stanze d’epoca con il suono del pianoforte in sottofondo, una bellissima esperienza.
Tutti i pomeriggi viene offerto un bicchiere di vino con del formaggio, olive e pane nella cantina, un ambiente molto suggestivo con luci soffuse.
Abbiamo prenotato anche la cena con la bravissima cantante di fado ed è stato molto suggestivo.

Lovely hotel, rather unique and a bit quirky! Loved the breakfast (although hot food was lukewarm), it was a good selection and the seating area, with the music was just lovely. I love the decor, the room was nice, the bed comfortable and a nice little balcony with a view. It was a great location and we had a back facing room so it was nice and quiet. We liked the extra wine and cheese that was available in the very unique theatre downstairs every evening (this was a nice unexpected touch). We also liked the spa and the fact that you had to access it through the backstage of the theatre was hilarious! The staff were great on check in - very helpful, but (as with most hotels) not great on check out!
Upon check out - no-one helped with our bags or cases, despite seeing me struggle and there being a doorman watching! We were asked no questions - like "how was your stay?" - it felt like now they had our money they didn't really care if we came back. A shame as it was a lovely hotel. I also seriously damaged my toe on the shower in the night - on a sharp corner. I thought I had broken it, but luckily just badly bruised. The shower head itself was either dribbling by the overhead one, or blasting all over the bathroom by the one you hold with your hand (this room is called Nutmeg 2 on the 3rd floor).

Upgrade bekommen. Sehr schönes königliches Zimmer. Tolles Ambiente, gleich bei der berühmten Strassenbahn. Alles gut zu erreichen.
Willkommensgetränk in der Kellerbar-Wein selbst aus dem Fass rauslassen war toll.
Klaviermusik und teilweise auch Geige live beim Frühstück.
Kleine Frühstücksauswahl liebevoll angerichtet. Frischer Orangensaft.
Sehr freundliches Personal.
Kleiner Wellnessbereich mit einem Bad und kleiner Sauna. Ein Prosecco wird dort angeboten.
Beim Fadodinner wurde abgeräumt, als wir noch beim Dessert waren. Dadurch wird es ungemütlich und ungastlich. Ansonsten war es schön, wie eine Privatvorstellung.

Breakfast was excellent with many options and live music. The design of the common areas and room exceeded expectations. Free happy hour with snacks and free tasting of ginja, which is the local popular liqueur. Don’t miss out on the included spa (hot tub, picture Roman bath design) and sauna, you just have to reserve a time slot.
The only complaint is there must be a bar across the street because a group of people was partying and singing in the street until 2 am. I would still stay again because everything else was absolutely perfect, I would just come prepared with ear plugs or a noise machine app on my phone to block out the noise. No shade to the people having a great time on a Friday night!

My husband and I chose Lisbon for our honeymoon, we are both Intercontinental Diamond Ambassadors and Hilton Diamond Card holders. We decided to try this hotel because of the excellent reviews we had read on BOOKING. However, the experience was truly worlds apart from that of a chain hotel.I feel really uncomfortable.
We did not perceive the friendliness of the hotel staff, especially the reception ladies. Upon our check-in, we discovered that the toilet was dysfunctional and informed the front desk of our need for prompt repair. However, it took more than 24 hours for the issue to be addressed, and it was only after our repeated prompts that the repair was carried out. Furthermore, we had to vacate the room by 11:00 am, and we packed our luggage at that time. We received a phone call from the front desk at that moment around 11:04am, and we expressed our hope for five minutes to check our luggage. However, we were informed that we could only be granted two minutes!!!!!!, as the cleaning staff would arrive in two minutes to tidy the room. I was so shocking about the rude attitude of the receptionist😳😳😳

The hotel is gorgeously decorated and really does feel like staying in an Old World palace. Bathroom was huge and luxurious. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a lavish buffet with many selections and a piano player (the piano music doesn't start until 8:30 though). There is also a spa with a big hot tub. Location is perfect, right in the liveliest neighborhood in the city.
Even though our room wasn't facing the main street, it was very loud on a Friday night, though the music and yelling did end around midnight. The bathroom had a bit of a weird smell from the cleaning solution. The lighting was a little dingy.
