This was a nice little rustic cabin. Nothing fancy, but just what we expected. Lots of deer hanging out around the property. Quiet neighborhood and close to downtown Estes Park and Rocky Mountain Natl Park. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We loved this cabin. It was spacious and clean and so ideally located close to the park! We had a wonderful week, our dogs were happy too!

This cabin was perfect for my family of 3. It was a great place to come back to after being in RMNP or downtown.

Perfect place to use a launching point into rocky mountain national park. The house was clean and comfortable and a perfect distance from the busier Estes Park downtown. Routinely saw elk and other wildlife right out the windows!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Hummingbird Cabin. It's walking distance to the National Park and to downtown activities and shops! We loved the scenic views and the quiet surroundings! We saw Elk grazing each morning of our stay. The location couldn't be better and the owner communicates well. The cabin is old but tastefully renovated. It shows some wear consistent with age, but really, it's hard to complain about that considering the majestic surroundings! We highly recommend the Humming Bird cabin to everyone!

My husband, who is an avid hunter and outdoor enthusiast, was in 7th Heaven! We had mule deer and elk within mere yards of the cabin every day of our stay.
I am a hobby photographer whose soul belongs in the Rockies, and I was also in 7th Heaven. The views from the cabin, especially from the deck at the top of the yard, are beautiful, and the neighborhood is blissfully serene.
Our 15-year-old gives the wifi two thumbs up, and our dog loved laying at the front door watching the wildlife.
The cabin was immaculate when we arrived and had all the supplies we needed for our 4-night stay. It took some trial & error to figure out the perfect settings for the various baseboard heaters, but we loved being able to independently control the temps for individual rooms.
We can't wait to return to Estes Park and will be looking for this cabin again when we do!

This house is in such a great location and suited our needs just fine. The small issue we did have was solved by our host quickly. We enjoyed our stay!

The cabin is conveniently located but very quiet. There are lots of deer and elk that walk by and make a very neat experience for wildlife viewing. The property is clean and well maintained. Overall a very good stay for my family!

The cabin is very spacious. It’s less than 2 miles from the entrance to RMNP. There were elk that walked through the yard daily. The location is great both for the distance to RMNP and shopping in Estes. Would definitely stay here again!

Bed was comfortable, and kitchen and bath had everything we needed. We also love the close proximity to the national park.

Nice cabin. Rustic but comfortable. Cannot beat the location. You are literally 5 min to Beaver Meadows entrance to the park. Quiet location yet you are only 10 min to town of Estes. Minor snafu during our two week stay which was handled extremely well by local host. No complaints. We already booked for next year.

Our family loves Hummingbird in the Rockies so much! This is the 3rd year we have stayed here and are planning to stay again next summer! Jody is so kind and helpful - she’s always there to answer a question of assist in any way.
The cabin is clean and cozy. We do all our own cooking during our stay - the kitchen has all we need. Our 2 boys love their room with the single beds! We hang our hammock outside for extra relaxation. Our boys love playing outdoor games in the spacious driveway and land surrounding the cabin. We love sitting out on the deck, my husband grills while we play games on the outdoor table. Our little dog is always sad when we have to leave - he adores the neighborhood walks and fresh air. This house is literally only a few minutes from the entrance to RMNP.
The memories we have built here will last a lifetime!

Overall this was a great stay! If you’re looking for a homey and a bit more rustic place close to the Beaver Meadows entrance, then this is it! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and we really loved that we were far enough out from downtown Estes Park to feel secluded, but just a short 5-10 minute drive in.
Just a few things others should be aware of:
- There’s no AC in the cabin, which the property owner didn’t claim to have! I just overlooked this, and I thought others may to. However, owners did provide a couple box fans for the bedrooms, which worked just fine at night! Even during the day, we never got hot inside during mid June.
- The king bed in the master bedroom was actually two twin beds pushed together, creating an annoying crease down the bed. I suppose this is a small detail that shouldn’t affect if you book this property or not; it was just frustrating.

It was a good location, close to everything
It was a good place to stay. Do note that it is more like a camp house, very basic. It's a really old cabin but it was clean and kitchen was stocked. The king bed needs to be replaced, it was worn out. The location was good. Close to everything yet felt like you were getting away from it all at the cabin. We had elk and deer all over the property. Very quiet neighborhood.

Hummingbird of the Rockies is a wonderful cabin in a beautifully tranquil and private setting. The cabin provides a spacious deck and other outdoor spaces where we enjoyed views of the mountains and the wildlife (we had deer and elk come through the yard during our stay). The property is just minutes away from the Beaver Meadows entrance into Rocky Mountain National Park which is also a plus.

This is the second time our family has stayed here and we absolutely LOVE this cabin! The neighborhood is quiet, lovely and only minutes from the Beaver Meadows entrance to RMNP. Our family of four had plenty of room, the beds are comfortable and there are lots of places to stretch out and relax in the living room area. We enjoyed cooking meals in the well stocked kitchen and enjoyed the fresh air, beautiful scenery and wildlife on the back porch. We saw wildlife daily - rabbits, elk and deer - it was really exciting for our two boys to see! The property has a lot of space and land. Our boys loved playing outside while my husband grilled on the outdoor gas grill. Our little dog loved this cabin too and enjoyed our daily walks on the neighborhood roads. Jody, the property manager, is very kind, helpful and quick to respond if we had any questions.

Very Cozy
This cabin is very cozy and you couldn't ask for a better location to RMNP. Bed was super comfy. We loved the mountain view deck located up the hill (also great for star gazing). Be prepared to spend a little additional time with your spouse, as there is no dishwasher. Would definately stay again.

Our family LOVED our stay at Hummingbird in the Rockies! The setting and views were so beautiful! We were less than 5 minutes from the Beaver Meadows entrance to RMNP!! Our two boys loved having their own room, own beds and sky light. The king size bed was comfy for my husband and I and the single bathroom with tub and shower was large enough to fit our needs. The kitchen had what we needed to cook all of our meals at the cabin, and the living room space was larger than we expected with plenty of places to relax. The laundry room was great - such a plus to wash our hiking cloths - and it had plenty of hangers and hooks for any items needing line drying. There were two trees, among many, for our boys to hang their hammock from and the amount of land that the property has, allowed our boys to throw the frisbee, run around and play! We ate most of our meals at the table on the deck, while enjoying the clean, fresh mountain air and lovely scenery. Our little dog really loved the property too and our walks with him down the road while enjoying the spectacular views and nature, were so enjoyable. The property owner and manager were very nice and answered our questions and needs ASAP. We are staying here next summer and have already booked! This is truly a home away from home in such a beautiful setting!
