Absolut empfehlenswert

Ich wurde sehr freundlich empfangen und erhielt ein Upgrade in eine Suite. Der Herr an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstück, Zimmer, Service waren absolut Top. Die Lage einmalig gut, sehr zentral und doch ruhig. Ich komme sicher wieder.

Das Hotel kommt auch für unseren nächsten Wien-Besuch in die engere Wahl.

Durch ein (kostenloses) Upgrade kamen wir in den Genuss einer Junior Suite - ein angenehm großer, zweigeteilter Raum mit einer gelungenen Kombination von antik wirkenden Möbeln und moderner Ausstattung wie z.B. Teekocher und Kaffeemaschine. Insgesamt 5 Fenster (2 im rosa gefliesten Bad) zum Innenhof, trotz der Lage mitten in der Altstadt absolut ruhig. Einer Jahreszahl über dem Eingang nach ist das Gebäude über 400 Jahre alt, die Zimmer, die Treppe und der Lift sind zur Straßenseite und um den Innenhof herum angeordnet. Der Frühstücksraum ist sehr ansprechend, das Buffet überschaubar in seiner Größe, aber sehr gut sortiert (einschließlich Lachs und Kaviar). Die Kärntnerstraße ist nur ca. 100m entfernt, der gesamte Wiener OPNV von der Haltestelle Staatsoper/Karlsplatz aus in Reichweite. Dass es keine Möglichkeit gibt, einen PKW unterzubringen, wussten wir - aber das ist in Wien ja ein generelles Problem und hat nichts mit dem Hotel zu tun.

Wie der Safe im Zimmer funktioniert, haben wir trotz mehrfachen Versuchen nicht herausgefunden. Dass das Frühstück erst ab 07:30 Uhr serviert wird, sollte in der Regel kein Problem sein, aber da wir an unserem Abreisetag das Hotel schon um 07:30 Uhr verlassen mussten, um unseren Zug bequem zu erreichen, war unser letztes Frühstück nicht ganz so entspannt wie an den vorangegangenen Tagen (wir mussten nicht hungrig abreisen, aber die frischen Brötchen konnten wir nicht mehr genießen).

Struttura centralissima e molto comoda da raggiungere, junior suite molto bella e regale e con ottimi servizi (tra i quali dyson asciugacapelli ) personale gentile e disponibile

Purtroppo la colazione al buffet, di cui avevo alte aspettative, non mi ha soddisfatta, c’era davvero pochissimo scelta

Charming, historic hotel with all the comforts.

Excellent location inside the Ring and steps from Kärtnerstrasse and the Opera. The breakfast buffet was small in area but large in offerings. Our room was well laid out, comfortable, and nicely decorated. A/C was great. There are several restaurants in the immediate area, including the very good Sole. We had to leave early in the morning so the receptionist ordered a taxi for us. The driver came into the lobby to get us and all went smoothly.

When we arrived the taxi left us at the back entrance which was a little faded. But once we saw our room and the front of the lobby it was much more elegant.

Staff extremely kind! The hotel was so cozy, with bedroom and bathroom so much spaceful! Breakfast was various and rich! And position was so central!

A perfect hotel to live the spirit of Vienna

The hotel is perfectly situated, in a tranquil road in the centre of Vienna (access by car is from the back, which is how it is signalled by Uber for instance). Staff is extremely kind and welcoming. Rooms are in the "old Vienna" style, decorated and with an ancient taste, but everything is well kept and maintained. Beds are very soft and comfortable. Bathroom in our room was not the largest but sufficient. Breakfast was good, althought (intelligently) to manage costs and avoid wastes some of the hot food is prepared on demand (which also improves it freshness): it is maybe less spectacular than other hotels, but will not leave you disappointed.

Being the hotel in an ancient building on a narrow road in the centre of Vienna, the light coming into the room was not much: however, we had rainy days and this may have played a role. Also, being a "boutique" hotel, some of the services found in larger hotels may not be available (for instance they could not accomodate a request for a late check-out, but they declined it smilingly and courteously and offered to keep the baggage).

Lovely comfortable central place to stay

A lovely room - we were upgraded to a junior suite. Location amazing - 5 minutes walk from the opera, Hofburg and other museums. Great breakfasts. Staff all friendly and helpful

Very good central location, very old but reasonably well maintained. A little overpriced.

Excellent central location, good breakfasts, spacious rooms. Very friendly and helpful reception staff (but one unfriendly breakfast waiter).

Water pressure in the shower very weak, cleaning staff not great at refilling liquid soaps, TP, etc.

Vienna Christmas Break 2022

This is a lovely hotel, the staff were lovely, the room was fabulous, the breakfast was great, the location of the hotel is perfect, so close to the city centre and metro & trams, it was also very peaceful & quiet. We had such a lovely stay in Christmas 2022. Vienna is a lovely and fabulous place to visit at Christmas time.

This hotel is ideal for a short stay in Vienna. Excellant value for money

Great little hotel within walking distance of many of the sites to see in Vienna. Lovely breakfast and the lack of a restaurant was compensated by lots of local restaurants, the best being the Morris Restaurant about 20 metres from the hotel. The hotel staff were great and the hotel had lots of style.

An excellent hotel with exceptional service, just be wary that the pictures can be misleading.

The service was excellent after an issue with our room. The staff dealt with everything as best they could and were extremely helpful. The place was amazing once everything was sorted. The room itself was the best that we have ever stayed in.

I think the pictures of some of the rooms are very misleading. We had been given a “junior suite” expecting to have a wonderful gold room and pink bathroom that was advertised on both Booking.com and their website, only the suite we were given felt no different to a large double room, with a low ceiling, a dull blue colour scheme and a bathroom that didn’t work properly. The staff resolved our issue by moving us into a different room after the first night and immediately the room was everything we had hoped and expected, it looked incredible!

Very elegant hotel on a pedestrianized street which is very close to the main sites

Liked the room. Everything was immaculate throughout hotel. Nice to have an elegant sitting room downstairs. Breakfast was very good with wide choice of tasty items including smoked salmon and baked fruit tart.

On the first day they seemed a bit stingy with the bacon as only got one small rasher with the cooked breakfast. However, they were happy to give more if asked, which I did on subsequent days.

Wow!

The location was perfect for exploring Vienna!! Right near the Opera house, and within walking distance to several museums and attractions. It also had interesting antique stores nearby, and a fabulous antique book store right across the alley! The rooms were great, and so was the breakfast. Plus, I have so many good things to say about the hotel staff!! Wonderful, helpful, and very capable. They made sure we had everything we needed, and that all our questions were answered. I would absolutely recommend staying here to all my family and friends!

Nice but nothing special

The staff is really very kind and helpful. The room was a little bit outdated but still nice and quiet.

The shower was crap. We found long black hair between the clean towels. The floors were making noise and the room feels a little bit outdated. No personal touch of any kind when they knew it was our treat for our anniversary, especially when it was the second time we stayed in this hotel.
