HEATING AND COOLING The Federal Home is equipped with central heat and central A/C throughout the home. You will be the perfect temperature no matter the season in Bend. SLEEPING ARRANGMENTS The Federal is a 3-bedroom home with 2 queen beds (1 Temper-pedic and 1 spring mattress), and 2 twins in the third bedroom. The house is clean and comfortable, and living areas feel spacious. Two bedrooms have comfortable queen beds and the third room has two twin beds - looks like it would be great for kids. There is a small fully fenced yard which was ideal as we had our two dogs with us and made it so easy to quickly let them out just like we do at home. Location is great - walking distance to town through Drake park as well as 10 Barrel and all the great places on Galveston. Quiet, clean neighborhood. We booked last minute as we were staying in another rental that didn't turn out to be as advertised and we chose to relocate. Everything about the rental process here was seamless and easy and we were SO glad we ended up here, it saved our vacation. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others.

So many good things to say! Location is absolutely perfect, can walk to everything. Place was very clean, check in and check out simple, and a lot of really nice "extras" - coffee for the first morning, soaps/toiletries, a fresh, wrapped sponge, etc. The only reason for 4 stars is no one's fault, but the heater is VERY loud. At night when it came on my very light sleeper husband would wake up to it, and my 2 year old would also wake up (screaming). Was fine, we turned it off the next night, but just FYI for the light sleepers.

Location location location! This place was warm and cozy. Walking distance to some of the best spots in town and only 20 mins from mt bachelor. I would 100% recommend ppl to stay here if they plan on visiting bend as I plan on staying here again myself! I loved it so much I actually tried to extend my stay. Can’t wait to be back!

Worn down damaged home in perfect bend location
Two married couples and a friend occupied this home over the 4th of July weekend. The property manager came to the home at 10:10pm on July 3rd to tell us we needed to go inside the home and that we could not be outside after 10pm. We were outback accompanied by two other couples that live in Bend. All that was happening was some story telling (no music, no fireworks) we complied and sent our friends home. The next morning the manager called and left a menacing and threatening message followed by an email with false accusations of the home occupants using fireworks and running around until 3am. One of the women staying at the house is pregnant so rest assured no one was awake anywhere near 3am and no one in our group possessed fireworks. The house was very run down and had a hole in the bathroom door along with a washing machine that did not work. The neighborhood is one of our favorites (lived there for 7 years) because of its access to all that bend has to offer and tends to be on the more lively side. People were going crazy ALL over the neighborhood and it is safe to say our group of 35 plus year old professionals were having fun but mild compared to surrounding homes. I cannot recommend this home based on its poor management regardless of its ideal location.

Westside Rental
This house was perfect for our Thanksgiving vacation. The kitchen was well supplied with all the pots, pans, dishes, and utensils to host dinner for family and friends (10 persons). House was clean and beds very comfortable. Yard is completely fenced and the dog had plenty of room to roam. Adequate parking behind the house and on the street. Neighborhood is very quiet. Communication with property owner was excellent. Michele took care of our needs. We will definitely stay here again.

Weekend stay in Bend - Found the right spot!
While looking for places to stay on vacation near relatives in Bend I found this place and couldn't have been happier. The house was clean and in such a good location near all that the town has to offer which we could walk to. The house has a great set up and was way better than getting a hotel. I'd highly recommend this VRBO to anyone traveling to Bend.

Summary: Amazing location, ok house.
Couldn't ask for a better neighborhood in Bend. Walk to coffee, restaurants, breweries, food trucks all while staying in a quiet place. You can float the river almost all the way back to the house.
The actual house is just ok. Nothing really wrong, nothing super special. Kind of awkward bedrooms. No AC (but that was known to us) and not all windows have screens so difficult to air out the house without letting bugs in.
Hard to beat that neighborhood though!

A great 4 days in Bend!
River West was a very comfortable home in a beautiful Bend neighborhood. This was our third family vacation in Bend where my husband loves to mountain bike ride and our son enjoys running, and of course they enjoy trying out the some of the many breweries. We all agreed that River West was the best location of any place we have stayed in Bend. We could walk everywhere. A grocery store, several coffee shops, restaurants, and breweries were all within a 8-10 minute walk of the house. Downtown Bend was only a 15 minute walk. We will return.

The home was spotless and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of towels. The beds were all comfortable. The neighborhood was quaint and close to the river and we enjoyed walking in the mornings. Thank you for a lovely experience!

This property is well located. It was very clean and well appointed. The openness and roominess was a bonus! We also loved the fenced yard. The property is dog and kid friendly. There are two off-street parking spots which we appreciated. We plan to stay there again!

We were in town for a lacrosse tournament. This house was convenient to the fields, restaurants, shops and Drake Park. The location cannot be beat! The neighborhood is quiet.

This house was a great central location for our long weekend in Bend. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning in the house, however the adequate fans they have in the house kept us cool.

We had a great time at Federal House. The house itself was wonderful, and the location is outstanding. It is a charming, ten-minute walk to downtown, close to Spork, and two-minutes by foot to the food carts. We cannot recommend it highly enough!

Great 2 weeks skiing
We had a great time skiing nearly daily with friends and family, dining out and eating in, walks to town and generally enjoying what Bend has to offer. Your house is an ideal location, and is well equipped with kitchen items, plenty of linens/towels and comfortable seating. Only 2 minor complaints: kitchen sink had no pressure, like a little more than a trickle, and although your son fixed the TV (he said the instruction to use a different remote to turn TV on and off was incorrect), it went down again in less than a day. The new message said that the channel would be available shortly, but it never came on. When using the guide button, it scrolled rapidly through channels faster than you could read them, with no way to stop it, and when it stopped on its own, the message came up no matter what channel it landed on. We are not big on TV, so not major for us. I would rent again, but hopefully these two items get resolved. My favorite was the heater/fan in the bathroom. It was so nice, especially after a shower or on a cold morning. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We travel for every vacation with our kids and, being a family of 5, frequently rent properties to stay. This is one of the few that was was well stocked, very clean, and inviting. Can’t beat the location too — walking distance to parks and restaurants and a short drive to the slopes of Mt. Bachelor. The rent is reasonable and you do get the value for your money. We truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property to anyone visiting Bend.
