Strengths:
Space- Great rate for the space. We had 6 people, so beds for all on 2nd & 3rd floors plus a shared spaces on main level. Clean 1/2 bath on 1st floor plus nice full bath on 2nd.
Proximity to Pittsburgh- While the neighborhood has a mix of well-maintained homes and rough-looking properties, it’s 10 minutes from downtown. A big plus for our adventurous crew.
Communication: quick and clear responses
Could be better:
Exterior- some clutter (mops and brooms) and trash in the back yard and near the rear entrance made an uneasy first impression.
Basic Maintenance Needed- multiple household items in disrepair (dishwasher sprayer broken, stove dial not working, toilet seat loose, bed leg broken on 3rd floor queen, closet doors missing or not attached, etc.)
Cleanliness and little touches- coffee and grounds still in coffee maker, pans in cupboard damp and dirty, and overall appearance a bit rough. Limited chairs at large dining table. Lighting options mostly overhead lights without lamps. Sparse decorations.
Lacking Supplies- limited dishes, towels and dishcloths, no washcloths, and not enough pillows with just pillowcases (rather than pillowshams that are not likely laundered as often).
Overall, we valued our stay here, but this property is a bit sparse and has a better potential with more attention to details.
Thanks for the stay!

So glad to have the opportunity to stay at this beautiful home. We had to put a baby gate at the steps that was approved for my 2 year old to be safe. This was so much better to stay at then a hotel. Thank you for letting us stay.

They lied about how many it fits. They expect someone to sleep on the couch and us to buy a air mattress. Some of my guests we to a hotel because they didn’t want to sleep on a couch that doesn’t even pull out.
They lied and over charged us for this place.
This place is very dirty. Mold on the ceiling in the bathtub area.,one of the beds has a tapped up leg. No smoke detectors on the third floor. There is no fire escape..the house has an mold smell. They told us there was a grill and a Keurig and there was not a I am asking for the 400 to repay my guess that had to go rent a hotel. I have pictures and have documented everything.

I believe I misjudged the price, neighborhood and had set my expectations too high based on previous VRBO bookings and the 4.9 star rating this property had.
It was not a place for our family to spend an extended weekend. Area was not nice and the house needed serious updating.
The door wouldn't open when we came and used the provided code. We heard the code-lock working/opening (heard the deadbolt move) but the door would not open. There was a key lock below it that was locked. Called the host, who said they'd call back with a solution... but by the time they called back we were so uncomfortable and stressed out just standing there like fools in a strange neighborhood and freaked out by the condition of the house that we left and got a hotel instead.

This property was a great place for our short weekend trip! The house was clean, and it was large enough for the group we were traveling with! The third floor room was perfect for the kids to set up their space and have their own area. Nice porch to sit out in the mornings as well. It was close enough to the city, inclines, South Side, football and baseball stadiums. We had everything we needed, so we didn’t need the host much, but when we did have questions they were very responsive and quick. We will definitely use again when we come out that way. Well done!

This was a great property to stay at with a large group of people. The back patio is spacious and a nice place to relax, and the interior provides many sleeping spaces and comfy furniture.

I am not a city person, but I felt very comfortable in this home. Lots of places to eat and close to all that Pittsburgh has to offer. There are some winding, steep roads, so if you go in the winter, make sure you have good tires. It was very nice having a big driveway. Manangement team was very informative.

Genesis concert was the purpose of our trip. Plenty of room for the 3 of us but just one bathroom and a powder room. Could be an issue for a larger party. Used the kitchen for breakfast and an easy dinner. Comfy beds, couches. Initially it did not appear to be a walkable area however, we found a small grocery, a local breakfast diner and a restaurant row that was doable (my husband and I are 71 and 66). We did not rent a car but did uber/lyft for more distant locations. Found a great antique barn close by but needed an Uber/lyft since the sidewalk ended at the end of the hill. All in all, a nice place to end the day.

New Years Stay
Our stay was great and we all really enjoyed it. If I ever needed something in Pittsburgh again I would highly consider this and would recommend to friends and family who travel and need somewhere in the pgh area as well!
