The hotel was quaint and the employees were friendly. Unfortunately those are the only positives. The pools were greenish, the TV did not work, we had no housekeeping services the first 3 days, and an employee stole cash from my purse that was in the room.

The location is great. Not handicapped accessible. No working telephone or television in the room. Full-length mirror, not in room. There is no lock on the inside of the room. Would not recommend a single female traveler.

When we arrived there was prior occupants personal hygene in the bathroom that had not been picked up.
Also cockroaches in the room.

I booked this stay based on a number of 10/10 reviews. We arrived in town late Friday night, so to check in and right back out was an inconvenience to say the least. To begin, BLACK MOLD was everywhere (though the front desk attendant did bring a bottle of Clorox so I could attempt to clean it). The toilet wasn't secured to the floor. Everything (furniture, walls, doors) had damage to the point that room should never be rented. Ceiling fan didn't work. The bedside light had a short in the wire. Lack of security was a huge concern! The room was located by itself directly off the street off an outside hallway. The door didn't close securely and had windows! Anyone could've simply broken through the window and unlocked the door. I am a frequent traveler and can state with absolute certainty this was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I called hotels.com immediately after I checked out and found another place to stay. To add insult to injury, the hotel would not refund the entire stay. I've always been happy with the establishments booked through hotels.com and have used this service for years. Not this time... Please beware when considering this property!!!

When we arrived the room was sweltering hot. The "king" bed was two twin mattresses on a king frame pushed together. There was no remote for the TV in the room. The floor was dirty enough that, after having my shoes off for about a half hour, I left black footprints in the tub from the dirt. I had to get up in the middle of the night to kill a roach that was almost as long as my pinky. The toilet rocked and would not shut off unless I opened the back and set the plug manually. The lock jammed on the door to our room, and hotel staff had to help me get it open and showed me a trick to get it to work. They returned my keys and said my car was in the parking lot. It was not. They had moved it off site. I will say that the staff did bring me a remote and they were helpful when presented with a problem. They were also friendly. The location is good, and it's a convenient walk to a lot of restaurants and to the French Quarter. The neighborhood feels safe, and it is across the corner from a small grocery if you need items for your stay.

I enjoyed this boutique hotel. The staff was friendly, and helpful.

Great location and the lobby was cute. The staff was super friendly. The actual room wasn’t nice. Very old. Since it’s in the French quarter I spent more time outside than inside. We didn’t even have actual windows!

Avoid the basic room type if possible. Classic was quite comfortable. Some helpful, friendly staff. Appreciated the pet friendly atmosphere and location.

History of the building was interesting and made it a cool place to stay. Location was fantastic. Overall the hotel was very nice but we wish the condition inside our room was a little bit updated. Staff was very friendly & helpful.

This was the first time my husband and I stayed here, but it will not be the last. We love to stay in the French quarter, especially walking distance from most things. There is a couple of coffee shops close by, a 24 hr diner, and a little convenient store right on the corner block. The staff was very nice, and the lobby was beautiful.

I stayed in a lower level room by the lobby. The room was quaint with a vintage feel. I appreciated the presence of the microwave and refrigerator for my numerous restaurant leftovers. Aside from overhearing a few lobby conversations, the room was quiet. The historic hotel is very conveniently located in the French Quarter within walking distance of the lively Bourbon St., the streetcar, and the beautiful Louis Armstrong park. It’s a lovely neighborhood and walking around is easy.

As a historic hotel, the property has a lot of charm and the location is great in the French Quarter. However, the walls are thin and voices carry in the courtyard through the walls. Also, the room was dusty and in slight disrepair. Not terrible, but not without a few flaws.

The room was not clean, nor did it ever get cleaned even after we went to the front desk several times and requested help.
Beds were literally over 3feet off the ground and no footstool. We again requested one, but nothing.
Maid service didn't even make our beds or take out trash.
When we checked out we asked for a taxi to airport and told it would be $36, It was a private driver, not a taxi service and he charged us almost $50.
Felt totally deceived the entire time we were there,
total disappointment!

Wife and I came to town for our anniversary and to bring our reader to the city for her first visit. It was a blast.

We tried to cancel the reservation but each time you call you would get put on hold for 10 minutes each time. Then after that o called 20 times just to get someone on the phone. I got hung up on as well. Was not happy about the situation at all. When someone finally talked to me they said call someone else. Clearly no one wants to take care of anything there. When we actually stayed there, the water pressure was poor, and cold. When you turned of the lights the outlets turned off so our phones did not charge. The bed was not comfortable either.

Nice historical hotel. Small rooms but nice property, pools, and staff. Very helpful in making reservations for excursions.

I don't often complain or leave reviews, but the stay wasn't great. Online it said amenities included parking, but would have been nice to include that it was $50. The room itself is okay, I would say it's akin to a motel as the biggest surprise was when our door was shared with our front steps/sidewalk, at least where we stayed. Light/noise of course comes through the front door, and so does smoke. Seems like people treat the front stoop as their own so had to combat noises and smoke in the middle of the night, and telling people to socialize elsewhere, who were all very nice about it. Bed was fine but then the remote didn't work, and the channel was stuck on a mesothelioma lawsuit advertisement. So, definitely won't be staying here again. I think the pictures inside the lobby are cute, but that's where it ends. Staff is nice though.

The St Pierre was a delightful experience... charming, like stepping back in time but with comforts of 20th century (like electricity and an indoor bathroom). There are numerous buildings on property, well-maintained, staff were wonderful, and they easily could charge double- or triple- what they do, but being affordable was just the icing on the cake.

What a wonderful place to stay. The rooms were amazing. The staff was so friendly you felt like you belong there. Definitely easy walking to Bourbon Street and all the downtown fun. Quiet enough at night to get a good nights rest

Although the unit has been updated, there is still ample charm that remains. Walking distance to revelry of Bourbon.... But, a short walking distance away from the noise. I felt safe and welcomed by Larry and all the staff.

I walked to this Hotel, for later on on my trip. I was walking here, from a different hotel I stayed at earlier. As soon as I got here, I was robbed for more money. I think it was like $10, or some other nonsense? I was smiling on my walk here, now I’m immediately pissed off. Hopefully I don’t get bed bugs, or who knows. The room looks a little dirty. From smiling after my first hotel, to getting robbed for additional money before seeing my room. There is a convenience store across the street, I haven’t really explored this dump yet.

Great location, wonderful staff. Room very small and dated. Bed sheets had stains and not too comfy. Next time I’ll ask to upgrade to a bigger and updated room with new sheets.

Great location. But the property and room was very run down. I’ve stayed many many times in New Orleans and understand that you give up somethings for the city itself (the culture, food, music). The water pressure in the shower and sink was terrible, and the water was either scalding or ice cold. The bright spot was the staff who did run and get ice when the ice machine was inop and provided good, courteous service.

The staff at the hotel was very nice, very welcoming. Room was very clean and taken care of as best as could be.

The Vibe It Was Giving France And I Love It

Beautiful property, and some parts were historical. Had some confusion with notes we left on Expedia for the hotel. Since they also own the properties across the street we ended up being split up from our party, but not a big deal. We also had problems with the lock on our door, and the wifi didn't work in the building across the street. Staff was great and helped us with the problems we had. We also had a visit from a water bug in the bathroom which I don't do. So a little paranoid the rest of the stay. But overall I'd stay again. Very convenient with a store right around the corner. Also a great new neighborhood bar with great food right around the corner a few blocks down. The grounds were beautiful, and the rooms were exquisite. We had hood laughs trying to get in the beds which were pretty high!

The Staff was very nice. The room was average I think my expectations were higher than it was. Great location could use some upgrades. We had a few issues but they did resolve them.

Pros: Very walkable area and quiet safe part of the French Quarters. Staff was friendly.
Cons: Not very clean. Floors were dirty and bathroom sink counter was sticky. It’s a very old historic building so you will have to deal with old broken outlets and imperfections like missing crystals on the chandelier and worn furniture. Lots of stains on the chairs. Worst part was specifically for room 101, right by the gate that leads to the street. This gate slams shut VERY loudly and it will wake you up. They need to fix this immediately. People come and go at all hours and the slamming of this gate drove me insane.

Misleading photos, door was stuck closed and not able to lock properly. Dingy and outdated room with dirty restroom. Asked for late checkout front desk told me it was okay, housekeeping knocked repeatedly every 10 miniatures, assistant manager came and banged on my door told me that it was not okay and that whoever told me it was okay “did not have the power to do so”.

I was harassed all night. Front desk employee had people over and they were clearly intoxicated. Called the police and front desk.

My stay here was all about location and the vibe. This was an absolutely adorable, authentic French Quarter experience. It’s a five or 10 minute walk to everything that makes normal and such a fantastic city. The staff was fantastic. The room was comfortable. If you’re looking for high end finishes, this is not the place. But if you’re looking for an authentic New Orleans experience that put you near the middle of the action- this is your place. Charming and comfortable.

Nice historic hotel.. loved the room.. clean.. staff was so nice and helpful. Parking is 50 bucks per day but well worth it.. quiet area but everything is in walking distance so it was perfect I will be staying here again when we go back to NOLA.
