The ENTIRE building was BEAUTIFUL in and out. Really great price for such a luxurious historic building.
The parking is a nightmare! However this can be because of the city that it is located in. Not being from the city it’s a bit of a hassle trying to find somewhere to park.

The location, cheap parking, and the staff were excellent and easy!

Great Breakfast, nice helpful staff.
Hotel was in a rougher area. Building was old so the room was pretty small, the elevator was really old and slow.

It was very close to the sights we wanted to see in New Orleans. We walked everywhere from the hotel.
The elevator went out for a little bit one Thursday morning after breakfast. We walked up 3 flights to our room. The poor lady behind us had to walk to the 14th floor!

Location and the music in the lobby
The dirty sheets on my bed and the food could have a bit more variety.
9.0
Clean and convenient
Small room, front desk staff less than helpful and the music they play in the breakfast area is horrible

Location
I was treated like I did not pay to stay at the property when I went to breakfast I was asked for my room key and no one else was asked

Check in was 4 pm but I got there around 11 am and they checked me in! The room was a suite with a living room and bedroom. The bathroom was very clean and functional. Great location! Easy walk to The French Quarter without the expense of staying closer to it. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. Even though it was right on Canal Street, it was very quiet.

Just the location!
Where shall I start...?!?
After my check-in, I informed the reception, that my safe is not working. After 3 x complaining on 2 days, nothing happened! No room cleaning on 2 nights! Just empty the garbage cans guys!
On departure day I was stuck in the old elevator for 1 hour with another guest and two people from the hotel (hotel cleaning staff)!!! No one cared about and at check-in no one said sorry!!!! I mean I was 60min in the elevator, what is wrong with you?!?!?! We were 2 people starting on floor 14 and the staff came in at floor 10! I know the elevator was old and max for 4 people. But this cannot be your excuse! A simple sorry was missed! That's sad, really!

Check in and Checkout went well. Hotel and Room décor is nice. Beds seemed clean and were comfortable.
Disliked · The shower in the bathroom was not clean. I asked for it to be cleaned and there was no one on staff to clean it and no manager there to speak with. The woman at the front gave me a bottle of Lysol spray cleaner so that I could clean it myself. I did not clean it. My son and I had to use the sink and wipe down that way. Additionally, I noticed the carpet needed cleaning in the areas around the closet and corners of the room; The chair leg was broken, the top drawer glass panel was cracked, and there was a section of worn carpet behind the entry door. Also I found the room cheaper on Hotels.com and they wouldn't honor that price. One of the 2 elevators was not working. With these issues the hotel did give me a percentage off of the room at checkout.

The location is good - walking distance to the French Quarter. The rooms are comfortable. Barman (Greg) is such a nice guy.
Note: We stayed in the middle of the change from “Hotel Vinache” to “Hampton Inn & Suites”
* It is the first time in 20+ years of traveling that I need to request my room to be cleaned up (1 day in advanced). Even when I requested the clean up, my room was never cleaned up in 3 days.
* Breakfast was very limited in terms of available food - a couple of fruits, eggs, milk, juice and bread. Waffles even were not available one day (and the waffle maker are there). And hotel persons in charge of the breakfast could be more helpful.
* Hotel is under remodeling, so there is noise and workers going around all time.
* Limited bar: just beer and wine.

It was historical
It was under construction with no advance warning. The first room we were in, the tv didn’t work so they moved us to a new room. Only 1 elevator worked and no breakfast was available.

I liked the location and the staff was nice
The hotel was under construction, our bathroom had a bad leak. Whenever we would turn the sink on the floor wood be flooded. I informed the staff multiple times. Nothing was does about it .

The location was everything because I was within walking distance to Bourbon Street.
They didn’t have any extra clean face towels.

I liked how big the room was and how well the lobby looked
The room phone didn't work, I couldn't hook up my Apple TV, the room of the King's suite did not get that cool, the hallways smelled like weed, there was no parking and I was given no instruction on where to park, I was stuck on the 10th floor for over an hour because the elevator didn't work.

Location was good. Close to Bourbon street but far enough away from the noise.
Elevator was small and could only allow 3-4 people at a time. Had to wait for the next elevator if there was someone already on it.

Juan was the highlight with his exemplary customer service and empathy.

That it was close to everything
Tub was dirty. The tissue roll holder was broke. Table in the room was not cleaned the shower BARELY wanted to turn on. Workers did not want to give us rags and towels. No trash can in the bathroom. Bathroom was super small ohhh and let’s not forget it smelled like mildew

Not enough parking space

The rooms were okay, although in the handicapped room the shower rail was a problem. The location is excellent, not far from the tourist spots. The staff was friendly and helpful.
For a four stars hotel, the breakfast in a bag with fatty foods was awful. I never ate breakfast. There were two lifts and one didn't work most of the time. The hotel guests had to go to the reception desk for clean towels, trash bags for the room as well as more toilet paper. I have been in many hotels, especially in Europe, and this hotel would be rated as perhaps 2 1/2 stars in Europe inspite of its location.
