When we arrived, there was no one to meet us, and despite what the manager said, we did not receive any instructions as to how to access the home or what to do after arriving. We sat in front of the apartment for nearly an hour, and finally a housecleaner let us in. They showed us the front door, but provided no orientation or instruction. The first night the security alarm started going off about 10pm. It's a screeching siren that we could not shut off. It would go off for a couple minutes, stop for about 10 minutes, and then start again. We tried unplugging it, but ultimately had to wrap the unit in blankets and stuff it in the freezer so it wasn't so loud. We could still hear it, and it went off ALL night long. No one slept a wink, and was our first night Spain. The 3rd night, we returned from dinner about 11pm with two exceptionally tired kids, and the street door would not open. They had an app for us to use to open the street door and the apartment door, but it didn't work. Turns out you need to also bring a physical key to unlock the deadbolt... which no one or no instructions explained. We called the "24 hr emergency" number provided, but no one picked up or returned our calls for nearly 2 hrs. Finally they picked up around 1am, but could not find any keys to open the door for us. Some guy showed up around 1:30am with some keys, none of which worked. He left and came back an hour later... still couldn't get in. During this time our 11 year daughter is sitting freezing on the street, with drunks & homeless hitting her and us up for money. To put a bow on it all, a drunk girl passes out 3 feet from our door, wakes up and pukes ... which then runs right in front of our door. Awesome lesson about drinking for our kids though. :) Finally the guy shows up again, and calls one of the permanent residents and convinces him to come let us in... which did not go over well. We talked to the night manager of the hotel across the street, and it turns out this same thing happened to a solo woman the week before. We stayed in the apartment an entire week, and asked the management to at least give us some kind of credit, but they offered us 10% off a future rental of the apartment. Great. Besides that, it's generally loud in the apartment all night. The Istanbul restaurant below is open all night and is THE stop for late night drunks, They're banging pots and you can hear it all night.

Really enjoyed staying in this apartment. It's in a great location, just off Las Ramblas. It was important to us to have a comfortable living room, since we were traveling with a family group, and this apartment was perfect for us. Washer and dryer were a real plus. Highly recommended!

Fantastic Location in Barcelona
Fantastic Location in Barcelona
We've just returned from a week in Barcelona, and had a blast. The apartment is perfectly located, about the midway point on Las Ramblas, across the street from the Gothic Quarter (which is very cool), near all sorts of restaurants, shopping, bars, and beautiful cathedrals. Checking in was easy (they let us drop off our bags early, which was very helpful), the apartment has all sorts of space. There were six of us, and the apartment was comfortable. Amenities were nice, we were able to pack lighter and do laundry while there. Bathrooms were great (nice water pressure!), and while we were off the bustling street, the apartment was quiet. If you went out on the balcony, you'd hear all the activities on the street, but close the door and it was silent. The management company was communicative, and we took care of most business online. All in, it was a great trip, and we picked a great place to stay.

Très bel appartement, propre et surtout très bien placé. Seul bémol : escalier un peu raide. Compter un étage et demi. A recommander !
